In which I appear on BigGator5’s Swamp podcast.

I’m listening to it right now: hopefully, I wasn’t too incoherent. I’ve been fighting this cold, and about two hours after I did said podcast I crashed like a brick dropped from a helicopter. I kind of babbled on about Barack Obama’s neo-Victorian ways, as I recall. Still, it was a pleasure to be on and I always enjoy talking. More, including BigGator5’s archive of past podcasts, here. You would think that the Western feminist movement would be the first in line to slam the butt of a rifle into the face of radical Islamist terrorism.

The “My inexplicable fisking of a Barack Obama fundraising email” Tuesday Open Thread.
By: Moe Lane (Diary) | February 18th at 06:01 PM |
Really, I have no idea why I did this. Open thread. Barack Obama To Me Today at 4:55 PM Hi, Barry! Can I call you ‘Barry?’ – I don’t care: you work for me, not the other way around. Barry it is, then, fellow-citizen. Who will be out of office in less than three years, so don’t get huffy about it. Barry.
Some VERY interesting things in this Hawaii News Now/Star Advertiser poll.

And by ‘interesting’ I mean favorable: The most obvious one is that Republican (and former Lt. Gov) Duke Aiona would in a rematch beat Neil Abercrombie 48-40 among registered voters. Charles Djou (running for Senate) has a favorable/unfavorable rating of 58/30, which is fairly close to Colleen Hanabusa’s 62/27. Clearly, Hanabusa’s is better, but not nearly by as much as I would have expected. And | Read More »
Why is @AlexSinkFlorida so starkly terrified of @chucktodd? #fl13
By: Moe Lane (Diary) | February 16th at 01:00 PM |
Like Hot Air, I am just a touch bemused at reports that Alex Sink (Democratic candidate for Florida’s 13th district special election) is apparently adamant that she absolutely cannot be at a debate that has NBC’s Chuck Todd moderating it: When it came to laying down the ground rules for an upcoming debate in the closely watched Florida congressional special election, Democrat Alex Sink — | Read More »

Democrats pass on chance to neutralize Cardinal Dolan appearance at RNC.
By: Moe Lane (Diary) | August 24th at 09:30 AM |
You’d think that somebody would have jumped on Timothy Cardinal Dolan’s offer, given that the cardinal’s agreement to offer a prayer at the RNC was a pretty big deal. Dolan runs the Archdiocese of New York, as well as the Conference of Catholic Bishops. If you need to know what that means, in practical terms, that’s actually easy to show: he’s the equivalent of this | Read More »
“I want to be a crony!”
By: Moe Lane (Diary) | August 23rd at 02:59 PM |
Normally, I raise an eyebrow at stuff that might be a little too ‘cute’, but this video* from Crony Chronicles isn’t cute; it’s hysterical. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2aO9tA5DWJM&feature=youtu.be And my use of the word ‘hysterical’ does, in point of fact, incorporate the thought that it’s downright maddening that we’re subtly teaching our kids to think of the government in terms of being the first response to a problem, | Read More »
Trailer for Citizens United’s “The Hope and the Change.”
By: Moe Lane (Diary) | August 22nd at 05:00 PM |
I’m pointing out this Citizens United trailer for their new movie The Hope and the Change – which will feature a variety of Obama voters from 2008, and presumably why they’ve decided to atone for that particular error in such a public fashion – for three reasons. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lLelSaD1zHU

So, this picture was making the rounds: …and, as you can see, it’s ALMOST perfect, as is. In fact, if you think that it IS perfect as is I am not going to blame you for thinking that; you can make a case, there. But you know how it is: people can’t just help but season the soup.
