My name is Flor Rivas. I have previously worked for Oyster Creative Activities, an afterschool program at Oyster/Adams Bilingual Elementary where I assisted 2nd grade students with their homework and creative sides. I have also worked for the League of United Latin American Citizens as a fellow, closely working in the Civic Engagement and Community Mobilization Department and the Corporate Relations Department. I assisted in voter registrations, planning and execution of small and large scale events and conferences, and worked closely on projects for the Hispanic immigrant community. I attended the Catholic University of America for my undergraduate degree with a Major in Political Science and Spanish for International Services and a minor in Latin American Studies.
