Aptly named
Differences between Simplenote and Apple Notes were not immediately apparent to me until I used it a little while. It's not long on bells and whistles, but the features it includes are well chosen. Tags for organizing, a history function to restore earlier versions of notes, collaboration by email invitation, publishing to a public URL, and a word count. Stuff I can use, without a bunch of stuff I don't need cluttering it up, and the display and interface are simple and clean.
Simplenote is one of those cool little apps that is more than the sum of its parts.
Better than Notes
Simplenote is the greatest app I have used for notetaking/keeping. It is simple and easy to use. I enjoy it even more than Apple's Notes app! Would highly recommend for anyone. Students, workers, writers, researches. A quick and easy place to store notes. It also has quick cloud storage time, so I can write something on my iPad and edit it a few minutes later on my phone. Great for on-the-go ideas.
