Caitlyn Jenner Makes First Talk Show Appearance on 'Ellen'

Season 13 of Ellen is premiering and she's kicking things off with a pretty notable name - Caitlyn Jenner. In Jenner's first talk show interview since announcing her transition, she and Ellen chatted about the whirlwind journey Caitlyn's been on, but also things like golf. Ellen wanted to know if she's hitting from men or women's tees, "'Cause you’re a good golfer it’s not fair to someone else." Jenner responded, "No, you don’t think so? Actually no I still play from the men’s tees." Of course, after her high-profile split with Kris Jenner, people have wondered who Caitlyn might be interested in dating. Ellen asked her if she was interested in men or women, but Jenner avoiding answering the question directly. "Would I like to find a partner in life to share my life with?" Caitlyn mused. "Yeah. I’m sure I will at some point. Right now I’m just very busy doing a lot of things and kind of just getting used to where I’m at and who I’m at. As time goes on I’ll deal with that subject." When Ellen asked if she might date Candis Cayne, as has been rumored in the press, Jenner simply replied, "Candice is great. We really have a lot a fun. She’s a beautiful women." Another big topic of discussion has been Jenner's conservative view on politics, a surprise to many considering a majority of those in the LGBT community tend to be liberal. The conversation turned to the subject of gay marriage. Jenner says she's come around on it, "...at first, I was not for it...I mean I like tradition and it’s always been between a man and a woman and I’m thinking I don’t quite get it. But as time has gone on, like a lot of people on this issue, I’ve really changed thinking here to I don’t ever want to stand in front of anybody’s happiness."

On Friday, September 4th, Yahoo News Live looks at the ongoing situation in Kentucky where a county clerk remains behind bars for her refusal to grant marriage licenses after the Supreme Court ruled same sex couples should be afforded the same right to marry as every American. While Kim Davis and her supporters remain defiant, couples in Rowan County have now been granted the piece of paper that will make their marriage recognized in the eyes of the law. Yahoo News and Finance Anchor Bianna Golodryga speaks with William Smith, Jr. and James Yates, a couple of 10 years who today were issued a marriage license in Rowan County.
