Elba (Italian: isola d'Elba, pronounced [ˈiːzola ˈdelba]; Latin: Ilva) is a Mediterranean island in Tuscany, Italy, 20 kilometres (12 mi) from the coastal town of Piombino. The largest island of the Tuscan Archipelago, Elba is also part of the Arcipelago Toscano National Park, and the third largest island in Italy, after Sicily and Sardinia. It is located in the Tyrrhenian Sea, about 50 kilometres (30 mi) east of the French island of Corsica.
The island is divided into eight municipalities, of which Portoferraio is the main one, the others; Campo nell'Elba, Capoliveri, Marciana, Marciana Marina, Porto Azzurro, Rio Marina, and Rio nell'Elba, are part of the province of Livorno, with a total of about 30,000 inhabitants, which increases considerably during the summer.
The island of Elba is the largest remaining stretch of land from the ancient tract that once connected the Italian peninsula to Corsica. The northern coast faces the Ligurian Sea; the eastern coast the Piombino Channel; the southern coast the Tyrrhenian Sea; while the Corsica channel divides the western tip of the Island from neighbouring Corsica.

Elba Ramalho, (born on August 17, 1951 in Conceição, Paraíba) is a Brazilian songwriter, performer, poet and actress. She is sometimes called "The Queen of Forró".
In addition to her successful solo career, Elba has collaborated with a number of well-established Brazilian acts, including Alceu Valença and her first cousin Zé Ramalho.

Idrissa Akuna "Idris" Elba (born 6 September 1972) is a British television, theatre, and film actor who has starred in both British and American productions. He grew up in Canning Town, East London. One of his first acting roles was in the soap opera Family Affairs. He has worked in a variety of TV roles including Ultraviolet and The Inspector Lynley Mysteries. He is known for playing Russell "Stringer" Bell, a Baltimore drug lord and aspiring businessman, in HBO's critically acclaimed show The Wire. Elba is a DJ under the moniker DJ Big Driis/Big Driis the Londoner, and a hip-hop soul recording artist.
In 2009, Elba appeared on a six-episode arc of the American sitcom The Office, playing Charles Miner, Michael Scott's new boss. In 2010, he appeared in the action film The Losers in the role of Roque, the second-in-command of a black-ops team. The same year, he appeared in the thriller Takers. Elba plays the title role of Detective John Luther in the BBC television show Luther that aired on BBC One, which has finished its second series. Elba has won a Golden Globe for his portrayal of DCI Luther.

Plot
An astonishing fictional account of the unending series of murders of young women in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, which began in 1996. Most of the victims are low-paid laborers who have been drawn to the town by the possibility of work at American-owned factories. In the film Mexican police officer Blanca Bravo is sent to Cuidad Juarez to investigate and comes to learn realities of these women's lives, as well as the truth about a police force and local power structure embodied by entrepreneur Mickey Santos that has ceased to care.

Idris Elba has long been a fan favorite to take over the James Bond mantle once Daniel Craig vacates the role, but Anthony Horowitz, author of the 007 novel, Trigger Mortis, recently told The Daily Mail that Elba is “too street” for the part. “Idris Elba is a terrific actor, but I can think of other black actors who would do it better,” Horowitz claimed, noting Adrian Lester (Hustle), specifically. “For me, Idris Elba is a bit too rough to play the part. It’s not a color issue. I think he is probably a bit too ‘street’ for Bond. Is it a question of being suave? Yeah. -

English novelist Anthony Horowitz, author of the forthcoming Trigger Mortis, is the latest successor to the late James Bond series creator Ian Fleming. And while Horowitz's involvement in the Bond franchise is contractually limited to the novels, he's told The Daily Mail that actor Idris Elba, a rumored successor to Daniel Craig, is unsuitable to play James Bond in the film series. Elba is "too street" for the role, according to Horowitz.
"Idris Elba is a terrific actor," Horowitz said, "but I can think of other black actors who would do it better. [...] For me, Idris Elba is a bit too rough to play the part. It’s not a color issue."
While it's true that James Bond and DCI John Luther aren't similar characters—Fleming's Bond is a refined mercenary, whereas Elba's Luther is a percussive alcoholic—"too street" is a nonetheless strange criticism of a "terrific" actor who is, presumably, adaptable to whatever the casting call and director ask of him. Or perhaps Horowitz prefers the blanched, horny corporate accountant steez that Pierce Brosnan brought to role.

Idris Elba has long been a fan favorite to take over the James Bond mantle once Daniel Craig vacates the role, but Anthony Horowitz, author of the 007 novel, Trigger Mortis, recently told The Daily Mail that Elba is “too street” for the part.
“Idris Elba is a terrific actor, but I can think of other black actors who would do it better,” Horowitz claimed, noting Adrian Lester (Hustle), specifically. “For me, Idris Elba is a bit too rough to play the part. It’s not a color issue. I think he is probably a bit too ‘street’ for Bond. Is it a question of being suave? Yeah.”
