Humphrey DeForest Bogart (/ˈboʊɡɑːrt/; December 25, 1899 – January 14, 1957) was an American screen actor whose performances in iconic 1940s films noir such as The Maltese Falcon, Casablanca, and The Big Sleep earned him the legacy of cultural icon.
Bogart began acting in 1921 after a hitch in the U.S. Navy in World War I and little success in various jobs in finance and the production side of the theater. Gradually he became a regular in Broadway shows in the 1920s and 1930s. When the stock market crash of 1929 reduced the demand for plays, Bogart turned to film. His first great success was as Duke Mantee in The Petrified Forest (1936), and this led to a period of typecasting as a gangster with films such as Angels with Dirty Faces (1938) and B-movies like The Return of Doctor X (1939).
Bogart's breakthrough as a leading man came in 1941 with High Sierra and The Maltese Falcon. The next year, his performance in Casablanca (1943; Oscar nomination) raised him to the peak of his profession and, at the same time, cemented his trademark film persona, that of the hard-boiled cynic who ultimately shows his noble side. Other successes followed, including To Have and Have Not (1944), The Big Sleep (1946), Dark Passage (1947), and Key Largo (1948), all four with his wife Lauren Bacall; The Treasure of the Sierra Madre (1948); In a Lonely Place (1950); The African Queen (1951; Oscar winner); Sabrina (1954); and The Caine Mutiny (1954; Oscar nomination). His last film was The Harder They Fall (1956).

PWT0rch [26th March 2000] WCW wants to build toward Goldberg vs. Scott Steiner. Bill Busch's authority was undermined by the Steiner situation since Busch wanted to suspend Steiner for making unauthorized comments during a live Nitro interview, but Brad Siegel decided not to fight Steiner's lawyers & basically let Steiner return with no punishment. PWT0rch [8th April 2000] There aren't enough (or any) heel opponents in WCW who can make for an interesting feud with Goldberg. The best option is Scott Steiner, but that should be saved for later. Going to it this summer is too fast. Here is a scenario with Goldberg that could build toward a big PPV match six or twelve months down the line & establish a second huge star to rival Goldberg in WCW for years to come. Nitro [18th July 2000] Scott ...

Chael Sonnen and Vince Russo talk about Scott Rechsteiner, William Goldberg, and what would happen in a real wrestling match between them. interview by Chael Sonnen (You're Welcome, Podcast One) Scott Steiner's way tougher, more athletic, a way better talker, had way a better physique and was probably even stronger than Goldberg. And by the way, Bill Goldberg jobbed to Steiner, so that's how that story ended. Goldberg was very unsafe, had a huge ego and wasn't tough at all in real life compared to most other wrestlers, for example, he got beat by a significantly smaller Chris Jericho (Christopher Irvine) in a real fight Goldberg himself started. Bill Goldberg, along with Triple H (Paul Levesque), is probably the most overrated wrestler of all time. Scott Steiner on the other hand is a legi...

Up the River (1930) is a Pre-Code comedy film about escaped convicts, directed by John Ford and starring Spencer Tracy and Humphrey Bogart in their feature film debuts. Tracy had starred in three shorts earlier the same year and Bogart had been an unbilled extra in a silent movie a decade before, as well as starring in two short films in the past two years, but this is the first credited feature film for both actors. This was the only feature film that Tracy and Bogart ever made together. They tried to make The Desperate Hours in 1955, but neither would consent to second billing, so the role intended for Tracy went to Fredric March instead. It was the only film Bogart made with director John Ford, and Tracy wouldn't work with Ford again until The Last Hurrah (1958). -wikipedia

O, man höre genau hin. Hörte man jemals eine junge Mezzosopranistin herrlicher singen als diese frisch verstorbene Eurydike in den Armen dieses letztendlich ja doch – Eloge hin, Eloge her - herzlos tückischen Schäfers? Nein!

Buckley was born November 24, 1925, in New York City to lawyer and oil developer William Frank Buckley, Sr., of Irish ancestry, and Aloise Josephine Antonia Steiner, a New Orleans native of Swiss-German, and some Irish, origins.[11] The sixth of ten children, Buckley moved as a boy with his family from Mexico to Sharon, Connecticut, before beginning his formal schooling in Paris, where he attended first grade. By age seven, he received his first formal training in English at a day school in London; his first and second languages were Spanish and French.[12] As a boy, Buckley developed a love for music, sailing, horses, hunting, skiing, and story-telling. All of these interests would be reflected in his later writings. Just before World War II, at age 13, he attended high school at the Cath...

"Esoteric science (AKA Occult Science) is the science of what takes place esoterically, in the sense that it is perceived not outside in nature but where one's soul turns when it directs its inner being toward the spirit. Esoteric science is the opposite and counterpart of natural science. —Rudolf Steiner "As vital and relevant as when it was first published in 1910, this masterpiece of esoteric, Rudolf Steiner worked and reworked on rosicrucian cosmology for many years to make it increasingly precise and accurate. This work remains the most effective presentation to date of a spiritual alternative to contemporary materialist cosmologies and the Darwinian view of human nature and evolution. In this basic work of spiritual science, readers learn how the creation and evolution of humanity i...
