Rita is a genus of bagrid catfishes found in southern Asia.
There are currently six species described in this genus:
Two fossil species, R. grandiscutata (Lydekker, 1886) & R. theobaldi (Lydekker, 1886), are known from the Lower Pliocene of the Siwalik Formation in Punjab, India.
The species in this genus are usually between 19 and 30 cm in length with the exception of R. rita (150 cm) and R. sacerdotum (200 cm).
These catfish have a single pair of mandibular barbels, an elongated Weberian apparatus firmly sutured to the basioccipital, and the sensory canal on the posttemporal enclosed with bone.
Catfish of this genus are usually found in larger streams and rivers.
The sulphur-crested cockatoo (Cacatua galerita) is a relatively large white cockatoo found in wooded habitats in Australia and New Guinea and some of the islands of Indonesia. They can be locally very numerous, leading to them sometimes being considered pests. They are well known in aviculture, although they can be demanding pets.
In Australia, sulphur-crested cockatoos can be found widely in the north and east, ranging from the Kimberley to as far south as Tasmania, but avoiding arid inland areas with few trees. They are numerous in suburban habitats in cities such as Adelaide, Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney and Brisbane. Except for highland areas, they occur throughout most of New Guinea and on nearby smaller islands such as Waigeo, Misool and Aru, and various islands in the Cenderawasih Bay and Milne Bay.
There are four recognised subspecies;

Robert Schoch Easter Island and the Mysteries at Gobekli Tepe. Robert M. Schoch is an associate professor of Natural Science at the College of General Studies, a two-year non-degree granting unit of Boston University. He is a proponent of the Sphinx water erosion hypothesis. He received his Ph.D. in geology and geophysics from Yale in 1983.[citation needed] He is best known for his argument that the Great Sphinx of Giza is much older than conventionally thought and that possibly some kind of catastrophe was responsible for wiping out evidence of a significantly older civilization. In 1991, Schoch redated the famous monument to 7000–5000 BC, based on his argument that its erosion was due mainly to the effects of water, rather than wind and sand, and also based on findings from seismic stud...
