Shaivism (Tamil: சைவ சித்தாந்தம், śaiva sitthantham, Sanskrit: शैव पंथ, śaiva paṁtha), also known as Shaivam (lit. "associated with Shiva"), is one of the four most widely followed sects of Hinduism, which reveres the god Shiva as the Supreme Being. Followers of Shaivam, called "Shaivas," and also "Saivas" or "Shaivites," believe that Shiva is All and in all, the creator, preserver, destroyer, revealer and concealer of all that is. Shaivism is widespread throughout India, Nepal, and Sri Lanka, mostly. Areas notable for the practice of Shaivism include parts of Southeast Asia, especially Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia.
It is very difficult to determine the early history of Shaivism. The ŚvetāśvataraUpanishad (400 - 200 BCE) is the earliest textual exposition of a systematic philosophy of Shaivism. As explained by Gavin Flood, the text proposes:
... a theology which elevates Rudra to the status of supreme being, the Lord (Sanskrit: Īśa) who is transcendent yet also has cosmological functions, as does Śiva in later traditions.

Aghoris are devotees of Shiva manifested as Bhairava,[5] are monists who seek moksha from the cycle of reincarnation or saṃsāra. This freedom is a realization of the self's identity with the absolute. Because of this monistic doctrine, the Aghoris maintain that all opposites are ultimately illusory. The purpose of embracing pollution and degradation through various customs is the realization of non-duality (advaita) through transcending social taboos, attaining what is essentially an altered state of consciousness and perceiving the illusory nature of all conventional categories.

Death body eater in india --The Aghori in Shaivism.अघोर-.--
Aghoris are devotees of Shiva manifested as Bhairava,[5] are monists who seek moksha from the cycle of reincarnation or saṃsāra.

Quoting from his own Enlightenment, he casts open the experiences of Enlightened Beings, Incarnations, who being the Cosmos, are always established in seeking; as Cosmos is constantly expanding, seeking, never stagnant. Defining the what, why of seeking, he affirms the need to keep seeking as a compelling reality in you; which is by looking into the basic questions— “What Am I? What Am I looking? Where Am I looking” and not “Who Am I?”, because we cannot make a presumption whether we are animate, inanimate being. Seeking is the antidote for ‘pattern compulsions’, forced on us by the materialistic society, which never lets us sit back and look. Varanasi, the golden city stands for Seeking, built by the intense fire-like seeking of millions.

Today’s Vakyartha Sadas, topic for spiritual explorations on Truth is — “Difference between reinventing yourself, re-strategizing yourself because of your seeking, and trying to change because of your boredom. Studying the difference between the two is subject for Vakyartha Sadas today. So do Vakyartha Sadas on–Am I changing due to boredom? Am I reinventing, restrategizing out of my seeking.

Death, even in Varanasi, Shiva's home, where liberation is a certainty, is after death. From his timeless, deathless consciousness, who experienced Death in Varanasi in 1999, He affirms that he himself is the listener and seeker, Naciketa, the speaker, Yama Dharma. Anybody who consciously allows the dying process and stares into the eyes of Death is a Dhirah, the courageous one, a Shiva Bhakta (Shiva’s devotee). Shaivism is the tradition that educates us to stare at death while we are alive and never allows us to divert our attention from Death.

New Shiv Dhun - Om Namah Shivaya Om Namah Shivay Har Har by Suresh Wadkar
ॐ नमः शिवाय (Om Namah Shivaya Om Namah Shivay Har Har Bhole Namah Shivay) is one of the most popular Hindu mantras and the most important mantra in Shaivism. Listen & sing to this mantra and find peace.
Traditionally, it is accepted to be a powerful healing mantra beneficial for all physical and mental ailments. Soulful recitation of this mantra brings peace to the heart and joy to the [Ātman] or Soul. Sages consider that the recitation of these syllables is sound therapy for the body and nectar for the soul [Ātman]. The nature of the mantra is the calling upon the higher self; it is the calling upon shiva, the destroyer deity, to aid in the death (destruction of ego) and rebirth achieved during meditation. This goes generally for mantras and chants to different gods, which are different aspects of the higher self.

ॐ नमः शिवाय is one of the most popular Hindu mantras and the most important mantra in Shaivism.
Its translation is "adoration (namas) to Śiva", preceded by the mystical syllable "Aum". Om Namah Shivaya mantra is sung by devotees in prayers and recited by yogis in meditation. It is associated with qualities of prayer, divine-love, grace, truth and blissfulness.

Utpaladeva (ca. AD 900–950) was one of the great teachers of the philosophy of Kashmir Shaivism.
Utpaladeva, an influential philosopher-theologian of the Pratyabhijna school of Shaiva thought composed the Ishvara-pratyabhijna-karika, or 'Verses on the Recognition of the Lord' and the 'Shivastotravali'.
Shivastotravali
Shivastotravali is a collection of hymns dedicated to Lord Shiva by Acharya Utpaladeva, the great Shaivite master intensely in love with Lord Shiva and earnestly craving to be one with Him. The book comprises 450 verses arranged in twenty chapters. Each verse is soaked in the nectar of his intense devotion for the Lord and extreme craving for God-consciousness. The book represents his direct and uninhibited one one-way dialogue with Lord Shiva, projecting his problems, one at a time and seeking His indulgence in getting over these.
Utpaladeva was renowned as a siddha, a perfected being, or enlightened master of the Tantric tradition in Kashmir. The Shivastotravali reflects Utpaladeva's philosophy, known as Pratyabhijna - the splendor of Self-recognition. The Shivastotravali is a collection of ecstatic devotional songs expressing the process of awakening to Shiva's supreme consciousness. This exquisite path does not require relinquishing one's home and heading for a mountain cave. Instead, it calls for changing one's view of the world and recognizing divine consciousness in oneself, in others, and in every aspect of life. This supreme state, says Utpaladeva, arises naturally through bhakti, or ardent devotion.
For over a thousand years the Shaiva community of Kashmir has used in its worship the devotional songs of Utpaladeva's Shivastotravali.
Each verse depicts a problem and a request for its resolution. The problem starts in a verse and ends in that verse. The next verse describes yet another problem that he wants to be resolved. He seeks solution of all his problem on the spiritual path. All obstacles on the path to become one with Lord Shiva. He is not worried about the problems that stare him in the face on his worldly path. He is ready to face whatever crises come his way in this world but he wants his spiritual path to be obstacle-free.
The Shivastotravali has been called a sacred stream that flows between this world and the world of the gods, consecrating everything along its course. Madhuraja-yogin, a disciple of Abhinavagupta (and thereby a direct preceptorial descendent of Utpaladeva) so praises the Shivastotravali:
" Though there are over thousands of
Streams of beautiful verses,
None at all compares to that
Celestial river, the Stotravali.
As soon as it passes through the tirtha [sacred ford] of the ear
It purifies the soul of man,
And flows on to the throat,
Where lies the city of Shrikantha' [Shiva as the Blue-throated Lord]."[1][2]

Death body eater in india --The Aghori in Shaivism.अघोर-.--
Aghoris are devotees of Shiva manifested as Bhairava,[5] are monists who seek moksha from the cycle of reincarnation or saṃsāra.

Seek For ‘What Am I?
Today’s (26th April, 2015) Nithya Satsang on Ishavasya Upanishad in Living Advaita Series by Paramahamsa Nithyananda starts with Day 6 of Meenakshi Brahmotsav celebrations, the day Jnana Sambandar reestablished Shaivism in Madurai. Paramahamsa Nithyananda expands on verse 10, which reveals the important necessity to keep the seeking alive as the fire that constantly helps you to reinvent yourself.
Isha Upanishad – Verse 10

Today’s Vakyartha Sadas, topic for spiritual explorations on Truth is — “Difference between reinventing yourself, re-strategizing yourself because of your seeking, and trying to change because of your boredom. Studying the difference between the two is subject for Vakyartha Sadas today. So do Vakyartha Sadas on–Am I changing due to boredom? Am I reinventing, restrategizing out of my seeking.

Shaivism or Saivism is one of the four most widely followed sects of Hinduism, which reveres the God Shiva as the Supreme Being. It is also known as śaiva paṁtha (; lit. "pantha associated with Shiva") and Saivam (). Followers of Shaivam are called "Shaivas" (also "Saivas", "Shaivites" or "Saivarkal"). They believe that Shiva is All and in all, the creator, preserver, destroyer, revealer and concealer of all that is. Shaivism is widespread throughout India, Nepal and Sri Lanka. Areas notable for the practice of Shaivism include parts of Southeast Asia, especially Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia.
