WATCH IN 1080p HD mode for best quality experience ;) Extensive footage featuring the best of AFI's full set out at sunny Stage 3 @ Sydney Soundwave - Sunday 23rd February, 2014. I was right near the front in the mosh, so I apologise for not having a more broad perspective of the stage, and for the occasional shaky moment - couldn't expect any less when standing amidst the eager and emotional crowd right up the front of the pit ! I'm also not sure what happened to the sound quality in sections, but I'm fairly happy with the overall quality and amount of decent footage I was able to capture regardless. Davey, as frontman, was freaking brilliant as usual, as well as the rest of the band - who aren't for a moment not passionately engaged in their craft. Davey owns the stage as he entertains the masses with his energetic and enigmatic stage presence - WATCH OUT for his "defying gravity" moment at 1:00 - an unmissable feat and trademark skill of his. I regrettably missed out on filming the moment when Davey grabbed my hand to help steady himself when climbing on top of us at the front of the mosh during 'I Hope You Suffer' - to which I then used my left hand to lift him up above me and support his right leg whilst he kneeled in the crowd, screaming his way through the chorus !
