Paul Manafort "Meet The Press" FULL Interview. Paul Manafort, the convention manager/delegate strategist Donald Trump brought on a few days ago, accused the Ted Cruz campaign of engaging in “Gestapo tactics” to win delegates on Meet the Press this morning. Chuck Todd ran the video of Trump friend Roger Stone talking about sharing the hotel rooms of delegates engaged in some supposed “steal” of the nomination. Stone and Manafort are longtime allies and former business partners, and Todd asked him about whether “threatening” delegates like that is appropriate. Manafort deflected the Stone issue and said threatening is not Trump’s style, but went on to say, “It is Ted Cruz’s style.” Todd asked if he thinks Cruz is threatening delegates. Manafort said, “Well, he’s threatening––you go to these county conventions and you see the Gestapo tactics…” Todd said “that’s a strong word,” while Manafort insisted Team Cruz is “not playing by the rules.” Donald Trump’s recently-hired convention manager, Paul Manafort, on Sunday suggested that GOP rival Ted Cruz was using “Gestapo tactics” to steal the nomination out from under the billionaire mogul. Meet the Press host Chuck Todd noted during an interview with Manafort that Trump ally Roger Stone had threatened to reveal the hotel numbers of delegates who refused to vote for Trump at the Republican National Convention. But Manafort insisted that Stone was “not an official part of the campaign.” According to the longtime GOP operative, Cruz had a campaigning “style” that included threatening delegates. “You go to these county conventions and you see the Gestapo tactics, the scored Earth tactics,” Manafort opined. “Gestapo!” Todd exclaimed. “That’s a strong word.” Manafort explained that the Trump campaign planned to file “several protests” against Cruz “because the reality is, they are not playing by the rules.” While he did not rule out the possibility of showering delegates with gifts to obtain their support, Manafort argued that the “best way” to win them over was with Trump’s message. “When we get into those final arguments, which is the end game of the end game, that persuasion starts to have an impact,” he said. The Press is a daily broadsheet newspaper published in Christchurch, New Zealand. It is owned by Fairfax Media.
The Press was first published on 25 May 1861 from a small cottage in Montreal Street, making it the oldest surviving newspaper in the South Island of New Zealand. The first edition was a six page tabloid and was sold for sixpence. The paper continued as a weekly with the driving force behind the paper being James Edward Fitzgerald. On 13 June 1863, the first part of Samuel Butler's Erewhon appeared in the Press Newspaper in an article signed Cellarius and headed "Darwin among the Machines."
In 1905, The Press purchased a block of the Cathedral Square site for £4,000. The Board then purchased the right of way (Press Lane) and what was going to be the original Theatre Royal site from the Theatre Royal Syndicate for £5000. The Gothic part of the Press building was occupied by the company until 22 February 2011, was built starting in 1907 and the Press staff shifted into it in February 1909 from their Cashel Street premises.

Donald John Trump, Sr. (born June 14, 1946) is an American business magnate, television personality and author. He is the chairman and president of The Trump Organization and the founder of Trump Entertainment Resorts. Trump's extravagant lifestyle, outspoken manner and role on the NBC reality show The Apprentice have made him a well-known celebrity who was No. 17 on the 2011 Forbes Celebrity 100 list. He is well-known as a real-estate developer who amassed vast hotel, casino, and other real-estate properties, in the New York City area and around the world.
Trump is the son of Fred Trump, a wealthy New York City real-estate developer. He worked for his father's firm, Elizabeth Trump & Son, while attending the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and in 1968 officially joined the company. He was given control of the company in 1971 and renamed it The Trump Organization.
In 2010, Trump expressed an interest in becoming a candidate for President of the United States in the 2012 election. In May 2011, he announced he would not be a candidate, but a few weeks later he said he had not completely ruled out the possibility. In December 2011, Trump was suggested as a possible Vice Presidential selection by Michele Bachmann. Bachmann has since suspended her presidential campaign.

Chuck Todd ran the video of Trump friend Roger Stone talking about sharing the hotel rooms of delegates engaged in some supposed “steal” of the nomination. Stone and Manafort are longtime allies and former business partners, and Todd asked him about whether “threatening” delegates like that is appropriate. Manafort deflected the Stone issue and said threatening is not Trump’s style, but went on to say, “It is Ted Cruz’s style.” Todd asked if he thinks Cruz is threatening delegates. Manafort said, “Well, he’s threatening––you go to these county conventions and you see the Gestapo tactics…” Todd said “that’s a strong word,” while Manafort insisted Team Cruz is “not playing by the rules.” Donald Trump’s recently-hired convention manager, Paul Manafort, on Sunday suggested that GOP rival Ted Cruz was using “Gestapo tactics” to steal the nomination out from under the billionaire mogul. Meet the Press host Chuck Todd noted during an interview with Manafort that Trump ally Roger Stone had threatened to reveal the hotel numbers of delegates who refused to vote for Trump at the Republican National Convention.
