R E C I P E S : [One cup of paint and One quart of paint] Mix Together: 2 Tablespoons Calcium Carbonate 1 Tablespoon Water Mix well into one cup of latex paint ____________________ Mix Together: 8 Tablespoons Calcium Carbonate 4 Tablespoons Water Mix well into one quart latex paint ** We purchased our Calcium Carbonate at a natural health food store for $11. We were able to make two quarts of paint with the bottle we purchased - with a bit to spare so we could make a cup or two of paint. The brand we purchased was the one pictured in the photo in the video. ** ** This blog is where I found comparisons of the different homemade chalk paint recipes. She lists pro's and con's of each chalk paint medium. She seemed to like the Calcium Carbonate the best and that's what we opted to go with.
