Arab culture refers to the culture in Arab countries of West Asia and North Africa, from Morocco to the Persian Gulf. Language, literature, gastronomy, art, architecture, music, spirituality, philosophy, mysticism (etc.) are all part of the cultural heritage of the pan-Arab world.
The Arabic language is the largest member of the Semitic branch of the Afro-Asiaticlanguage family (classification: South Central Semitic) and is closely related to Hebrew and Aramaic. It is spoken throughout the Arab and Islamic world. Arabic has been a literary language since at least the 6th century and is the liturgical language of Islam, in addition to widespread use as a vernacular language. Arabic is spoken in a variety of dialects. Modern Standard Arabic (MSA), the language of the media and of educated Arabs, is different from the everyday spoken Arabic.
It is sometimes difficult to translate Islamic concepts, and concepts specific to Arab culture at the beginning, without using the original Arabic terminology. The Qur'an is written in Arabic, and Muslims traditionally deem it impossible to translate in a way that adequately expresses its exact meaning; until recently,[when?] some schools of thought maintained that it should not be translated at all. A list of Islamic terms in Arabic covers those terms which are too specific to translate in one phrase. While Arabic is strongly associated with Islam (and is the language of salah), it is also spoken by Arab Christians, Oriental MizrahiJews, and smaller sects such as Iraqi Mandaeans.

This was a very odd and kinda freaky gun dance done by men as part of the entertainment on our Camel Desert Safari.
Maybe it used to be done with swords and evolved to guns? I've no idea, lol.

We rode camels most of the way into the desert, but after the falconry demo we hopped into vintage Land Rovers for the ride into camp. Cool.

The products of a highly-developed architectural style even today bear witness to the greatness of Arabic culture. To the western eye, cities such as Jerusalem, Mecca, Baghdad or Cairo can seem utterly alien. It is not only the way of life that is unfamiliar, it is also the astoundingly varied architecture. This volume surveys more than six centuries of Islamic architecture, from the late 7th century to the mid-13th, placing mosques, Koran schools and palaces in their cultural, religious and political contexts. This was a very odd and kinda freaky gun dance done by men as part of the entertainment on our Camel Desert Safari.
Maybe it used to be done with swords and evolved to guns? I've no idea, lol.
Safari by Platinum Heritage tours

Distinctive features are its view of building as reflection of Moslem thinking, and its focus on the Arab world. With more than 200 colour photographs, numerous plans, chronological tables and an extensive glossary, this is a reference work which appeals to the expert and the travel-hungry reader alike.

Arab culture refers to the culture in the countries in which the official language is Arabic (although the Arabic language in some of minority), and the west officials and scholars used to call them "Arab countries" of Western Asia and North Africa, from Morocco to the Arabian Sea. Language, literature, gastronomy, art, architecture, music, spirituality, philosophy, mysticism (etc.) are all part of the cultural heritage of the pan-Arab world. The Arab world is sometimes divided into separate regions including Nile Valley (consisting of Egypt and Sudan), Al-Maghrib Al-Arabi (consisting of Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, and Mauritania), Fertile Crescent (consisting of Iraq, Kuwait, Lebanon, Syria, Palestine and Jordan) and the Arabian Peninsula (consisting of Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Oman and the UAE) and the Arabian Peninsula's Al-Janoub Al-Arabi (consisting of Yemen and Oman). The Arab Culture is divided into three main parts, the Urban Culture (Al-Mudun), the Rural Culture (Ar-Reef), and the Nomad Culture (Al-Badow). Typically, most of the Gulf countries along with parts of Jordan and Iraq are considered Badow (Bedouins). Other countries' countrysides such as Palestine, Syria, Lebanon, Algeria and Tunisia are considered Rural Cultures. Their cities are considered to be Urban Cultures. In fact, most of the Arab Major Cities are recognized with Urban Cultures, like Jaffa (pre-Israel), Cairo, Jerusalem, Beirut, Rabat, Baghdad, Alexandria, Damascus, Marrakech, etc... The Levant, particularly Palestine, Lebanon, Syria as well as Egypt are known to have a long Urban Culture history.

STORYLINE
Palestinians marched in Jerusalem and the West Bank on Saturday to mark the announcement of Jerusalem as capital of Arab culture for 2009.
Tensions over the future of Jerusalem, which have torpedoed years of Israeli-Palestinian peace efforts, bubbled to the surface as Israeli police stopped some of the events and gatherings tied to the announcement, that were planned in Jerusalem and in Nazareth.
A group of children, accompanied by a teacher and a guide, were stopped by police officers.
The teacher said they were prevented from visiting areas of Jerusalem's Old City.
The Israeli Ministry of Internal Security, which issued a number of injunctions banning a series of events, said they would have constituted a violation of the interim agreement between Israel and the Palestinians, which included a clause forbidding the Palestinian Authority from organising events in Israeli territory.
Meanwhile, in Ramallah, crowds gathered to sing and dance in celebration.

Video of the conference held on September 25, 2014 at the Casa Árabe headquarters in Madrid on the occasion of the presentation of the Sheikh Zayed International Book Awards.
The event included the participation of Dr. Ali Bin Tamim, Secretary General of the Sheikh Zayed International Book Award; Saeed Madan, Director of the Sheikh Zayed International Book Award; Professor Pedro Martínez Montávez, and Eduardo López Busquets, the General Director of Casa Árabe.
This year, the Sheikh Zayed International Book Awards include the category of “Spanish” for the first time ever, within the section of “Arab Culture in Other Languages.”
When the conference and presentation came to an end, an “Eastern Flamenco” Arab oud and guitar concert was held, with a performance that explored the common roots shared by flamenco and Arab music. In terms of its melodics, both of these types of music share the same basic scale, which is known as the “Phrygian dominant scale” (the Kurdish hijaz), which evokes the magic of the Middle East and its influence on flamenco music. At the same time, in terms of rhythm, one can find common beats and variations between them, including the rumba and baladi, or the fandango and chaabi music (typical of North Africa). David Durán Gil, a guitarist, and Hames Bitar, who plays the Arab oud, undertook a dialogue based on “Taqsim” (improvisation), in which each musician demonstrated his talent by playing freely with different scales and styles, producing a magical atmosphere that mixed two cultures.

If you are interested in mentoring but do not understand exactly how it can work for your circumstances, this series is for you. Mentoring is new to many cultures - and not all languages even have a word for it. Mentoring for a relatively short period of time can give you significant long-term benefit. This was a very odd and kinda freaky gun dance done by men as part of the entertainment on our Camel Desert Safari.
Maybe it used to be done with swords and evolved to guns? I've no idea, lol.
Safari by Platinum Heritage tours
