The city is the largest economic center of the 12-county Dallas–Fort Worth–Arlington metropolitan area (the DFW MSA) that according to the March 2010 U.S. Census Bureau release, had a population of 6,371,773. The metroplex economy is the sixth largest in the United States, with a 2010 gross metropolitan product of $374 billion.
Dallas was founded in 1841 and was formally incorporated as a city in February 1856. The city's economy is primarily based on banking, commerce, telecommunications, computer technology, energy, healthcare and medical research, transportation and logistics. The city is home to the third largest concentration of Fortune 500 companies in the nation. Located in North Texas and a major city in the American South, Dallas is the main core of the largest inland metropolitan area in the United States that lacks any navigable link to the sea.
Born in Tampico, Illinois and raised in Dixon, Reagan was educated at Eureka College, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and sociology. After his graduation, Reagan moved first to Iowa to work as a radio broadcaster and then in to Los Angeles in 1937 where he began a career as an actor, first in films and later television. Some of his most notable films include Knute Rockne, All American, Kings Row, and Bedtime for Bonzo. Reagan served as president of the Screen Actors Guild, and later as a spokesman for General Electric (GE); his start in politics occurred during his work for GE. Originally a member of the Democratic Party, his positions began shifting rightward in the late 1950s, and he switched to the Republican Party in 1962. After delivering a rousing speech in support of Barry Goldwater's presidential candidacy in 1964, he was persuaded to seek the California governorship, winning two years later and again in 1970. He was defeated in his run for the Republican presidential nomination in 1968 as well as 1976, but won both the nomination and general election in 1980, defeating incumbent Jimmy Carter.

Why the Legacies of John F. Kennedy & Ronald Reagan Endure: Assassination (2013)
The assassination had an effect on many people, not only in the U.S. but around the world. Many vividly remember where they were when first learning of the news that Kennedy was assassinated, as with the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, before it and the September 11 attacks after it. UN Ambassador Adlai Stevenson said of the assassination: "all of us..... will bear the grief of his death until the day of ours." Many people have also spoken of the shocking news, compounded by the pall of uncertainty about the identity of the assassin(s), the possible instigators and the causes of the killing as an end to innocence, and in

Have you ever wondered what people will remember about you once you are gone? What kind of legacy will you leave? In this message you'll take a journey through the lives of powerful men and women of God, whose legacies are still affecting lives today - and revisit the rotting memories of the wicked.
This inspiring and encouraging message is sure to cause you to consider what mark you are leaving in the lives of those around you If you know the memories you'd leave behind aren't so good, there's good news: it's not to late to change! Jesus laid the foundation for every one of us to leave a good legacy.
Fueled by his own dramatic deliverance from drugs, alcohol and crime back in 1975, Steve Hill dedicates his life to spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ around the world. His love for people and his passion for genuine, God-breathed revival have only intensified after years of missionary work, church planting, and evangelistic crusades.
Steve has been powerfully used by the Lord in two of the greatest revivals in the past century: in the Argentine revival and the Brownsville Revival in Pensacola, Florida. During these revivals, hundreds of thousands came to Christ and were transformed by the presence and power of the Holy Spirit.

UN Ambassador Adlai Stevenson said of the assassination: "all of us..... will bear the grief of his death until the day of ours." Many people have also spoken of the shocking news, compounded by the pall of uncertainty about the identity of the assassin(s), the possible instigators and the causes of the killing as an end to innocence, and in retrospect it has been coalesced with other changes of the tumultuous decade of the 1960s, especially the Vietnam War.
The US Special Forces had a special bond with Kennedy. "It was President Kennedy who was responsible for the rebuilding of the Special Forces and giving us back our Green Beret," said Forrest Lindley, a writer for the US military newspaper Stars and Stripes who served with Special Forces in Vietnam.[c] This bond was shown at JFK's funeral. At the commemoration of the 25th anniversary of JFK's death, Gen. Michael D. Healy, the last commander of Special Forces in Vietnam, spoke at Arlington Cemetery. Later, a wreath in the form of the Green Beret would be placed on the grave, continuing a tradition that began the day of his funeral when a sergeant in charge of a detail of Special Forces men guarding the grave placed his beret on the coffin.
Kennedy was the first of six presidents to have served in the U.S. Navy,[284] and one of the enduring legacies of his administration was the creation in 1961 of another special forces command, the Navy SEALs,[285] which Kennedy enthusiastically supported.[286]
Ultimately, the death of President Kennedy and the ensuing confusion surrounding the facts of his assassination are of political and historical importance insofar as they marked a turning point and decline in the faith of the American people in the political establishment—a point made by commentators from Gore Vidal to Arthur M. Schlesinger, Jr. and implied by Oliver Stone in several of his films, such as his landmark 1991 JFK.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/JFK
Since Reagan left office in 1989, substantial debate has occurred among scholars, historians, and the general public surrounding his legacy. Supporters have pointed to a more efficient and prosperous economy as a result of Reaganomics,[310] foreign policy triumphs including a peaceful end to the Cold War after Reagan's eight years in office,[311] and a restoration of American pride and morale.[111] It is also said that Reagan restored faith in the American Dream with his unabated and passionate love for the United States,[312] following a decline in American confidence and self-respect after Jimmy Carter's perceived weak leadership, particularly during the Iranian hostage crisis, as well as his gloomy, dreary outlook for the future of the United States during the 1980 election.[313] Critics contend that Reagan's economic policies resulted in rising budget deficits,[138] a wider gap in wealth, and an increase in homelessness[147] and that the Iran-Contra affair lowered American credibility.[314]
Opinions of Reagan's legacy among the country's leading policy makers and journalists differ as well. Edwin Feulner, President of The Heritage Foundation, said that Reagan "helped create a safer, freer world" and said of his economic policies: "He took an America suffering from 'malaise'... and made its citizens believe again in their destiny."[315] However, Mark Weisbrot, co-Director of the Center for Economic and Policy Research, contended that Reagan's "economic policies were mostly a failure"[316] while Howard Kurtz of The Washington Post opined that Reagan was "a far more controversial figure in his time than the largely gushing obits on television would suggest."[317]
Despite the continuing debate surrounding his legacy, many conservative and liberal scholars agree that Reagan has been the most influential president since Franklin D. Roosevelt, leaving his imprint on American politics, diplomacy, culture, and economics through his effective communication, dedicated patriotism and pragmatic compromising.[318] Since he left office, historians have reached a consensus, as summarized by British historian M. J. Heale, who finds that scholars now concur that Reagan rehabilitated conservatism, turned the nation to the right, practiced a considerably pragmatic conservatism that balanced ideology and the constraints of politics, revived faith in the presidency and in American exceptionalism, and contributed to victory in the Cold War.

Dallas is a young city with all the vigour of youth. Effigies of modern architecture rise like glass trees out of the downtown area. In 1841, it was simply a plan of 20 streets on the 256 hectares (640 acres) of south central America, claimed by a Tennessee lawyer, John Neely Bryan. Today, it is the ninth largest city in the USA, and including its western neighbour of Fort Worth, it is the nation's fastest growing metropolitan area.

The irresistible appeal of Dallas' dining is its blend of cuisine influenced by the American South and Mexico, as well as its cattle and ranching heritage. Dallas is noted for inventing Tex-Mex plate and the world's first frozen margarita in 1971. Food became more sophisticated over time, with southwestern cuisine emerging in the 1980s, by pairing Latin and Native American cuisine with classic culinary techniques.

The most important places to visit in Dallas are: Southfork Ranch (it is known worldwide as the filming location for the "Dallas" series. Take a tour of America's most famous ranch), Botanical Garden (discover this wonderful garden in Dallas. The best time to visit is during Spring when thousands of flowers are blooming), Fair Park (home to museums and gardens, it is most famous for the amazing State Fair in the fall), Reunion Tower (one of the most famous landmarks of Dallas. Visitors can even dine at a restaurant at the top of the tower), Dealey Plaza (the site of John F. Kennedy's assassination in 1963. It is a national historic landmark and you can see the spot where the fatal shot hit) and many more.
If you want to save time and money, the most important Dallas travel tip is to compare prices before booking a hotel room or a flight. Dallas - Texas - United States Travel guide http://goo.gl/tLsKrZ
Thriving at the bottom edge of America's Great Plains, Dallas has embraced dreamers and entrepreneurs for the better part of two centuries. Big D, as it's affectionately called, merges Southern hospitality with modern sophistication. Though the landscape looks different than at its humble beginning, the city still welcomes enterprising people who gather to share their grand ideas and stake claims on new frontiers.
Dallas will always be remembered for one, if not two, shootings. The first and most shocking occurred on 22 November 1963, when President J F Kennedy was assassinated in downtown Dallas. The second shooting may only have been fictional but, when J R Ewing was shot by an unknown killer in the TV series Dallas in the early 1980s, fans across the world were devastated. Even today, the legend of J R remains strong, as does the legacy of President Kennedy.
Today the city is a mecca for the banking, electronics and oil industries, as well as for dining, shopping, arts and entertainment. Large scale developments of urban lofts, apartments, condominiums, retail and both indoor and outdoor recreational facilities are springing up across the city. An impressive new Dallas Center for the Performing Arts opened in 2009 to vie with New York's Lincoln Center. New facilities and relevant attractions in and around this cultural centre continue to grow.
Among things you probably didn't know about Dallas: The city has the largest urban arts district in the United States spanning 19 blocks. What's more, the Dallas Arts District has more buildings designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architects in one contiguous location than anywhere else in the world. And Dallas' Fair Park, just a short distance east of the arts district and a district with numerous museums and venues, features the nation's largest collection of 1930s Art Deco, exposition-style architecture.
Dallas offers true Southern hospitality, be it in a humble hideaway cocktail bar or in the Mansion on Turtle Creek, repeatedly and regularly ranked as one of the world's top hotels. And with a 10th of its workforce in the hospitality industry, Dallas is always happy to have y'all come on in and stick around awhile.
Those wishing to explore further afield should take the busy freeway 30 miles to the west to the easy-going, cattle-driving, twin city of Fort Worth, home to a national historic district and a surprising stash of world-class art museums.
The similarities between the two include a stunning rate of business and population growth, in spite of a sluggish recent economy; a shared passion for the pro sports teams, including the Dallas Cowboys, whose new billion-dollar stadium is now in Tarrant County instead of Dallas; and a great pride in being Texan.

Restaurants in Dallas - Texas - United States

Dallas - Texas - United States Travel guide http://goo.gl/tLsKrZ
The irresistible appeal of Dallas' dining is its blend of cuisine influenced by the American South and Mexico, as well as its cattle and ranching heritage. Dallas is noted for inventing Tex-Mex plate and the world's first frozen margarita in 1971. Food became more sophisticated over time, with southwestern cuisine emerging in the 1980s, by pairing Latin and Native American cuisine with classic culinary techniques.
The restaurants below have been grouped into three different price categories:
Expensive (over US$50)
Moderate (US$30 to US$50)
Cheap (up to US$30)
These prices are for dinner for two people, excluding tax, alcohol or tips. In general, there is a sales tax of 8.25% added to restaurant bills. However, in reality, this tax varies and some restaurants only add the tax to either food or drink. Tipping of between 15 and 20% is expected and in some restaurants this may be added to the bill.
Abacus
Price: Expensive
Rating: 4
Cuisine: Asian-influenced American cuisine
The deft touch of executive chef Kent Rathbun and his stunning wine list has earned glorious praise from the national press, thanks to such pleasures as lager-braised veal breast with English pea pierogi; grilled duck with leg confit and black pepper-ricotta cavatelli; and fascinating sushi rolls, such as the Picasso, combining spicy tuna, roasted pineapple, avocado and salmon. For an extra treat, guests should try the chef's selection of five or eight small courses, with wine pairings, and luxuriate in the palate pampering and the soothing, sumptuous interiors.
Address: 4511 McKinney Avenue, Dallas, Texas, United States
Stephan Pyles
Price: Expensive
Rating: 5
Cuisine: Contemporary American & Southwestern
Widely known as one of the architects of Southwestern cuisine, Pyles, the much-loved native of West Texas and noted world traveller, has earned innumerable accolades from international publications for his namesake restaurant. His 'New Millennium Southwestern cuisine' features as a tasting of exotic ceviches (try ahi tuna with watermelon and pepitas), duck confit empanadas, wood-fired whole fish, and coriander-cured rack of lamb. Special drinks include Pisco Sour and smoky-apple Martini. A lovely update of a 1960s office building provides a warm, inviting setting in which to feast. Bring someone special with you.
Address: 1807 Ross Avenue, Dallas, Texas, United States
Fearing's
Price: Expensive
Rating: 5
Cuisine: American with Southern/Southwestern influences
After making the Mansion on Turtle Creek the leading dining destination in Texas for two decades, star chef Dean Fearing opened a place of his own at the prestigious Ritz-Carlton. In each of seven distinct settings under one roof, the popular southerner does much to please his ever-ardent fans, with maple-black peppercorn buffalo tenderloin, pecan-crusted halibut, crab tacos and -- at brunch -- stunningly good fried chicken. Drinks in his Rattlesnake Bar include El Diablo, a mixture of Patron Silver Tequila, blackcurrant liqueur, fresh lime juice and ginger ale.
Address: 2121 McKinney Avenue, Dallas, Texas, United States
Fireside Pies
Price: Moderate
Rating: 3
Cuisine: Italian
Certainly not the usual pizza joint, this is where you'll find spectacular pizzas. Inside a handsome, casual stone-and-wood building, you'll find a hip crowd hanging out over starters, wine and pies. Pizzas are baked in a wood-burning oven, topped with a fire-roasted tomato sauce, liberally garnished with four kinds of cheese, then decorated with such add-ons as meatballs, proscuitto, balsamic-roasted chicken, truffle oil or rocket salad. When in doubt, just order the 13th Pie, an ever-changing delight. Weather permitting, patio seating is divine.
Address: 2820 North Henderson Avenue, Dallas, Texas, United States
Primo's Bar & Grille
Price: Moderate
Rating: 3
Cuisine: Mexican
A long-time hangout in Uptown, this wonderful spot only gets better with age. The Sunday brunch is hugely satisfying, but any day of the week is perfect for top-rate margaritas and a plate of the delicious tacos camperos filled with beef fajita meat. Pile on jalapeno, cilantro , a slice of avocado and a spoonful of the tomato salsa on the table. It's a good spot to take a break from shopping and gallery-browsing; relax on the patio or in one of the rooms inside the hundred-year-old building with creaky wooden floors.
Address: 3309 McKinney Avenue, Dallas, Texas, United States

Welcome to Houston, Texas, one of the largest cities in the United States.
Once an outpost in the Old West, Houston is now a down-to-earth metropolis, boasting a tremendous shipping and energy industry, as well as plenty of culture.
Kick off your Houston tour at Discovery Green, a 12-acre park tucked beneath the city’s skyscrapers. You’ll find public art and plenty of space to picnic or go for walks. Houstoners take pride in their various parks, museums, and open spaces, like the Houston Arboretum, where you can go birdwatching, learn about green living, and hike the trails to explore local wildlife.
Speaking of exploring, your Houston sightseeing should include a trip to the USS Texas., This battleship served in two World Wars and now stands guard as a museum on the Buffalo Bayou. Head over to the Gulf for a walk on the beach while you watch the sunset, then get ready to gear up for the evening with some delicious TexMex shared with the locals. After you lose yourself in a few rounds of line dancing to burn off all those fajitas, you’ll be wondering why you didn’t come to Houston earlier.

Shopping in Dallas - Texas - United States
World Travel https://www.youtube.com/user/World1Tube
Dallas - Texas - United States Travel guide http://goo.gl/tLsKrZ
For many people, the very name of Dallas is synonymous with retail therapy. The city's motto, after all, is 'if it can't be found in Dallas, it can't be found anywhere'. This is where Neiman Marcus, 1618 Main Street, began its fashion business in 1907, as an 'exclusive woman's ready-to-wear store'. Today, all manner of big names have gravitated around it, including Saks Fifth Avenue, Chanel, Ralph Lauren, Tiffany & Co and Christian Dior. The huge department store chain JC Penney also originated in Dallas.
Key areas:
The majority of fine shopping in Dallas is found just north of downtown in the Uptown district and in Highland Park and University Park. Interesting, more bohemian shops tend to be found in Deep Ellum, immediately east of downtown, and on Lower Greenville, which reaches just northeast of downtown. Great clusters of shopping areas are also found in suburban Dallas areas, all north of I-635, such as Plano, Frisco and McKinney.
Markets:
There is a large Farmer's Market, on the western end of Downtown, at South Harwood Street and Marilla Street.
Shopping centres:
The most upmarket is Highland Park Village, a National Historic landmark and one of the first American shopping centers, opened in 1931. Look here for such shops as Chanel, Jimmy Choo, Jermes, Harry Winston and dozens of other fashion names, as well as homegrown retailers like Calame Jewelers and Cooter's Village Camera.
Galleria Dallas, 13350 Dallas Parkway, is a revered name in Texas shopping. Stores here include BCBG, Dallas Cowboys Pro Shop and Old Navy, Tiffany & Co., American Girl, Nordstrom, Sak's Fifth Avenue and Macy's. There's an ice-skating ring with spectacular shows during the winter holidays, plus cinemas and restaurants.
NorthPark Center, 8687 N. Central Expressway, is compared with Beverly Hills' Rodeo Drive, but all-enclosed. Finer shopping abounds, with Neiman Marcus and boutiques from top-rate designers like CH Carolina Herrera, Herve Leger, Versace, and Salvatore Ferragamo, to name a few.
Opening hours:
Almost all retail stores are open daily, 1000-2100.
Souvenirs:
The best places to buy Texas souvenirs, such as western hats and boots and jewellery, are western-wear stores. These include Cowboy Cool, 3699 McKinney Avenue, a favorite boutique in the West Village, in the Uptown district; and Pink's Western Wear, 2475 N. Stemmons Freewaym, in the Medical District, northwest of downtown.
Tax information:
Sales tax is 8.25%.

If you are up for exploring Dallas, here are a few tips. Like most of Texas, Dallas is mostly a driver's city, but there are a few more options in certain districts. If you're visiting sites in the West end, you can take the trolley and learn about the city from your tour guide. You can also use the local bus system or the light rail called DART. Both run through Downtown and surrounding districts. If you do have access to a car, you'd be best off driving to an area and walking to save time. Just be sure to wear comfortable shoes and sunscreen. With all the hot spots in Dallas, be sure to get reservations or arrive early as some places book up or sell out.

Hotels in Dallas - Texas - United States

Dallas - Texas - United States Travel guide http://goo.gl/tLsKrZ
Dallas Hotels
Dallas' hotel landscape matches that of its shopping and dining attractions -- choices are numerous in every category, from luxurious and expensive to humble and inexpensive. Keep in mind, however, that the majority of finer choices tend to be in downtown and the surrounding areas, whereas the less costly places may not be as close to the most popular attractions and restaurants. You pay, of course, for convenience.
The Dallas hotels below are grouped into three pricing categories:
Luxury (over US $250)
Moderate (US $130 to $250)
Cheap (up to US$130)
These Dallas hotel prices are the starting prices for a standard double room and include taxes unless otherwise specified. Breakfast may be included; investigate at time of booking.
W Dallas - Victory Hotel
Within walking distance from the Dallas Arts District, the trendy W Hotel remains edgy and relevant, thanks to a recent, multi-million-dollar renovation. Overlooking the sports venue of Victory Plaza and breathtaking night views of downtown Dallas, the hotel offers 252 oversized rooms and suites in categories named Wonderful, Cool Corner, Spectacular, Fabulous, Mega, Fantastic, Marvelous, Wow and Extreme Wow. Inside the W's Bliss spa, the Exotic Lime and Ginger Salt Glow body treatment is transcendental. Dinner in the gastropub called Cook Hall is casual yet very special.
Hotel ZaZa
This mind-boggling lodging in Uptown seems drawn from a Hollywood movie set. Lavish furnishings, Frette linens, cutting-edge technology, rainforest showers in luxurious bathrooms and high ceilings make the large 146 guest rooms and suites feel like private apartments within the South-of-France-style building. Meeting spaces accommodate up to 300. The on-site Dragonfly restaurant has won numerous awards for inspired contemporary cuisine and throngs of fans for its chic bar scene.
The Joule, Dallas
Downtown's most elegant boutique hotel sits within a lavishly renovated 1920s neo-Gothic building. An added 10-storey tower and contemporary lobby showcase stunning art and design structures highlighting the oil and gas theme appropriate to the 'Big D' (Dallas). The Joule's cantilevered pool extends 5ft off the edge of the building, and is even open free in the summer to non-guests from 0500 to noon. Rooms and suites have sleek, inventive décor, and the Fitness Center is state-of-the-art. Don't miss the hotel's restaurant and wine room, run by celebrity chef Charlie Palmer.

Hi GlamAholic's! I had the amazing opportunity to travel to Dallas, TX for a cupcakes and cocktails event hosted by treasure chest virgin hair. It was my first time ever going to the state of Texas in my whole life. While I was there I meet up with Raven Elyse and AshleyDBeauty and we had a sleepover. Even though it was my first time meeting them I felt like we've been friends forever!

Dealey Plaza and the Sixth Floor Museum
The Texas School Book Depository was a rather ordinary building in downtown Dallas until the infamous assassination of US President John F Kennedy on 22 November 1963 as he travelled in an open limousine through Dallas on a pre-election visit.
Lee Harvey Oswald, the 24-year-old local who was accused of the crime, had a filing job at the depository. The deadly shot was fired from the sixth floor of the building, which is now the Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza documenting both the assassination itself and the life and times of JFK. This includes a minute-by-minute account of the action, the investigations and the various assassination theories that followed. The Plaza itself is simply an outdoor grassy area on the north side of Elm Street, where curiosity seekers gather at all hours of day and night.

Transport in Dallas - Texas - United States

Dallas - Texas - United States Travel guide http://goo.gl/tLsKrZ
Public transport:
Public transport buses and trains are operated by the Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) authority. The urban light railway and the commuter line, which are separate lines in the south and north, combine to form a single route in the downtown area. The system operates 0400-2400.
Bus tickets must be purchased with exact change in cash. Alternatively, prepaid tickets and day passes can be purchased from vending machines at the station. Day passes may be purchased in advance.
DART has joined forces with the volunteer-run McKinney Avenue Transit Authority to operate the historic M-Line Streetcar, providing free, daily transit service in downtown and to connect downtown with the uptown neighbourhood. Schedules and detailed route information are available.
Taxis:
Taxis operate 24 hours. Recommended are Checker Cab and Yellow Cab, both at the same depot, and Terminal Cab. A tip of 10% is expected.
Driving:
Driving in downtown Dallas at the weekends is feasible for the visitor, since the streets are relatively quiet. Morning and evening rush hour in the week is just the opposite and very frustrating.
Downtown Dallas is essentially on a north-south grid layout, although north of Pacific Avenue, the grid is skewed slightly and angled more on a northwest-southeast axis.
The most frequently used toll road in Dallas among visitors is the North Tollway, which goes from Downtown up into Collin County. Toll stations no longer exist; you will be invoiced for tolls you are owed (these will be charged to you by your car rental company).
There are meters and parking lots all over Downtown, which can be expensive, except at weekends. Visitors should read meters carefully as timings will be enforced.
Bicycle hire:
Bikes are available for hire from Richardson Bike Mart's White Rock Lake location, 9040 Garland Road Riding around the lake is wonderful in good weather.

The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza is located on the sixth floor of the Dallas County Administration Building (formerly the Texas School Book Depository). The museum examines the life, times, death, and legacy of President John F. Kennedy. It is located at the very spot from which Lee Harvey Oswald, according to four government investigations, killed Kennedy.
The museum's exhibition area uses historic films, photographs, artifacts and interpretive displays to document the events of the assassination, the reports by government investigations that followed, and the historical legacy of the national tragedy. The museum is self-sufficient in funding, relying solely on donations and ticket sales. It rents the space from the County of Dallas, Texas.
The museum was founded by the Dallas County Historical Foundation. It opened its doors on Presidents' Day, February 20, 1989. The museum is located in the old Texas School Book Depository building, at the intersection of Elm and Houston Streets on Dealey Plaza in downtown Dallas, the location from which the Warren Commission found that Lee Harvey Oswald shot President Kennedy on November 22, 1963.
A museum webcam features a live view from the sniper spot.
In December 1999, the Zapruder family donated copyright to the Zapruder film to The Sixth Floor Museum, along with one of the first-generation copies made on November 22, 1963, and other copies of the film. The Zapruder family no longer retains any copyrights to the film, which are now controlled entirely by the museum.
On February 19, 2007, previously unreleased 8 mm film footage of Kennedy's motorcade donated to the museum by George Jefferies and his son-in-law was shown publicly for the first time. The 40-second film, silent and in color, showed the motorcade before the assassination, as well as part of Dealey Plaza the following day. Jefferies film was described as capturing "a beaming Jacqueline Kennedy", as well as showing Kennedy's suit jacket bunched-up in the back at that moment, about two minutes before Kennedy entered Dealey Plaza.

The Texas School Book Depository (now the Dallas County Administration Building) is the former name of a seven-floor building facing Dealey Plaza in Dallas, Texas (U.S.). Located on the northwest corner of Elm and North Houston Streets, at the western end of downtown Dallas, its address is 411 Elm Street. The building is notable for its connection to the assassination of John F. Kennedy. An employee, Lee Harvey Oswald, shot the president from a sixth floor window on the southeast corner. The structure is a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark.
The site of the building was originally owned by John Neely Bryan.[1] During the 1880s, Maxime Guillot operated a wagon shop on the property. In 1894, the Rock Island Plow Company bought the land, and four years later constructed a five story building for its Texas division, the Southern Rock Island Plow Company.[1] In 1901, the building was hit by lightning and nearly burned to the ground. It was rebuilt in 1903 in the Commercial Romanesque Revival style, and expanded to seven stories. In 1937 the property was acquired by the Carraway Byrd Corporation, and after the company defaulted on the loan, it was bought at public auction July 4, 1939 by D. Harold Byrd.[2][1]
Under Byrd's ownership the building remained empty until 1940, when it was leased by a grocery wholesaler, the John Sexton & Co.[2] Sexton Foods used this location as the branch office for sales, manufacturing and distribution warehouse for the south and southwest United States. In November 1961, Sexton Foods moved to a modern distribution facility located at 650 Regal Row Dallas; by then the building was known locally as the Sexton Building. Refurbishment after Sexton's departure saw the addition on the first four floors of partitions, carpeting, air conditioning and a new passenger elevator.
In 1963 the building was in use as a multi-floor warehouse for the storage of school textbooks and related materials and an order-fulfillment center by the Texas School Book Depository Company. Some time after the company moved in, it was found that the upper floors had sustained oil damage from items stored there by the previous tenant, a wholesaler grocer. To protect the company's books (stored in cardboard boxes) from oil seeping up from the floor, a process was begun to cover the floors with plywood.[2] Immediately prior to the Presidential visit, work had begun on the west side of the sixth floor, "leaving the whole scene in disarray, with stock shifted as far as the east wall, and stacks in between piled unusually high."

Legacies 2015: A Conversation with Wes Wise
The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza is an institutional sponsor of the Legacies Dallas History Conference. For the 16th annual conference, held at the Hall of State at Fair Park in Dallas, historian and author Darwin Payne moderated a conversation with former Dallas mayor Wes Wise (1971-1976). Wise was a broadcaster at local CBS affiliate KRLD at the time of the Kennedy assassination in 1963.

Dallas, Texas Travel Guide - Must-See Attractions
http://bookinghunter.com
Dallas is the ninth most populous city in the United States and the third most populous city in the state of Texas. Dallas makes up one-fifth of the much larger urbanized area known as the Dallas--Fort Worth Metroplex, in which one quarter of all Texans live.
You can do this for free on http://bookinghunter.com, a site that searches through hundreds of other travel websites in real time for the best travel deals available.

Food Delights in Dallas, Texas (USA) – Escapade at Latin Deli – A Hidden Gem - Food & Travel Guide
If you're tired of the same old fast food and want something different, then head over to Latin Deli. It is one of the hidden gems in Dallas!
In a super casual, affordable, and friendly atmosphere, they serve the best sandwiches and pastries. The ambience is a strip mall, café-like setting with garish lime-green paint on the walls and a walk-up counter. This isn't a place you would go for first date or celebratory dinner. But definitely a must if you just want a delicious Latin sandwich!
Some of their must-haves include their Loma Saltado, Tres Leches Cupcake, Carrot Cake, Choco Flan, Red Velvet Cup Cake, Sweet Corn Muffins. As beautiful and delicious as their sandwiches are, they are still true to a simple plate of Chilaquiles.
Latin Deli hits three essential targets: Good, Fast and Cheap. It is a great place for brunch on the weekend. It's like waking up for breakfast at your mom's house. All-around, a delicious, affordable meal!
If you are in Dallas, Texas (USA) - do stop by and check them out! Meanwhile watch Pia and Anita's grub escapade as they experience the simple motto of Latin Deli - Eat, Laugh, Live!

JFK Assassination, Dallas, and the Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza (2013)
JFK Assassination, Dallas, and the Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza (2013)
