Copyright is a legal concept, enacted by most governments, giving the creator of an original work exclusive rights to it, usually for a limited time. Generally, it is "the right to copy", but also gives the copyright holder the right to be credited for the work, to determine who may adapt the work to other forms, who may perform the work, who may financially benefit from it, and other related rights. It is an intellectual property form (like the patent, the trademark, and the trade secret) applicable to any expressible form of an idea or information that is substantive and discrete.[clarification needed]
Copyright initially was conceived as a way for government to restrict printing; the contemporary intent of copyright is to promote the creation of new works by giving authors control of and profit from them. Copyrights are said to be territorial, which means that they do not extend beyond the territory of a specific state unless that state is a party to an international agreement. Today, however, this is less relevant since most countries are parties to at least one such agreement. While many aspects of national copyright laws have been standardized through international copyright agreements, copyright laws of most countries have some unique features. Typically, the duration of copyright is the whole life of the creator plus fifty to a hundred years from the creator's death, or a finite period for anonymous or corporate creations. Some jurisdictions have required formalities to establishing copyright, but most recognize copyright in any completed work, without formal registration. Generally, copyright is enforced as a civil matter, though some jurisdictions do apply criminal sanctions.
Wedding bells as heard from a bus
Clanging bells, they ring for the two of us
When they're through with us
Up in the sky, threatening cloud drifts by
Eloped so soon, hope there's no typhoon
On our honeymoon
Kids casting stones wave to the ship
With a moan and a shudder, we're fast on our trip
What future awaits, we're ready to brave
Whatever our fate from here to the grave
The ocean, once azure, is quite blacker than before
And we are far from any shore
The cries of the gulls make a lullabye
Day comes too soon
Life is a luxury, you can't buy it, with deeds so noble or words so pious
United Nations meet no defiance, genocide applied is the favorite science
A science enticed by financial calculations of the tired empire who's dire machinations
Are fired by the pyre of its satellite nations
Holocaust is the cost of man's imagination
Now the world is automatomic, now the braid of life is untied
Like the wondrous antibiotic that kills all culture, omnicide
One might just as well ask why every living thing must die
As to ask why some must live in poverty and strife
Struggling like a lizard wriggling on a knife
Until the soul shrugs off the shackles of this life, some have dollars, and others squalor
All are one side, omnicide
Ballet is beautiful, it proves we are not animals
But art is seen as high in stature when it perfectly mimes nature
Nature we must dominate, thus we destroy, thus we create
Black, white, arab, jew, one king is calling you
One king that you must serve, one master rules the world
Until the soul shrugs off the shackles of this like, soothe your dollar, chase your dollar
Now we are allied, omnicide
There was a time when all the world was disunited
Now we are allied
The words come from on high, elsewhere chasing butterflies
Say goodbye, all must die
In these hours of leisure, memories of pleasure
Late at night a lone car passing
Made me feel that all was right
As it sped on pavement glistening
With reflected Christmas lights
I, enchanted, watched you sleeping
Imagined you happy, and made the covers right
On Boxing Day, I lay there weeping
As you were on your flight
Now you pour the wine for all the pretty boys in line
I won't be yours, you won't be mine
My once upon a valentine
You made use of me
Till you made up your mind
It seemed you couldn't stop yourself
From treating me so unkind
But I threw the first stone
So I know you had a reason
And you left me alone in the suicide season
Now you pour the wine for all the pretty boys in line
I won't be yours, you won't be mine
My once upon a valentine
Late at night a lone car passing
Makes me feel that all is right
As it speeds on pavement glistening
With springtime showers, they're making the flowers come out
I, enchanted, watch her sleeping
Imagine you weeping, and hope I'm right
And I feel so fine, it's better without you
I'm happy without you tonight
I gave you all the love I had
And held on tight to end up sad
And if this love I now abhor
What is developed, enveloped in the dark
And is stopped at the very start?
What does light create, like the sight of a star
That eminates from afar?
A deb at a dance in an old portrait
Now for romance, it's a little late
But there in her swoon it's a sliver too soon
To shoot the silvery moon
chorus- Here's the record, just as another
The past is over, over and over
Here's the record, the same as any other
Until it's over, over and over
It's a rain-stricken Sunday, all the shutters are closed
I'm striking a nautral pose
A compsite formed of opposites shows
Undeveloped, overexposed
Adelina Patti to deathlessness destined
But one so unrefined
Her image is fixed, breathlessly declined
The flash is upon you
The light it astounds you
Now darkness surrounds you, it's the same in sound
Unsafe, unsound
Chorus
The past is over, hold your lover
May you smile upon this band
May your miles beguile the land
Cross every dial and band
When I was young, I lay in bed
And hummed a song, and shook my head
As I grew old, the world was cold
The radio was my only friend
In the California night, there is a chopper overhead
Like a deer caught in the light, I can't help but look ahead
And I'm wondering when it's going to stop
And I'm hoping I won't burn up
A drop in the ocean
How you turn me on but I won't belong
Come on, turn me on, I'm playing your favorite song
Police are everywhere, they keep it peaceful there
For bankers in cars, it's lonely as Mars
They're buying the air, they're making the stars shine bright
Like a deer caught in the light, I can't help but look ahead
Like a hummingbird in flight, I'm going nowhere, as I beat with all my might
The radio
Pride had Faith on the road, then they walked for awhile
'Til they sussed Hope and Lust, who winked at Faith and smiled
Though Lust Faith had always hated, Pride held Hope and soon was sated
So Gluttony and Sloth were born of Faith and Hope's desire
In the froth of Pride their sire
The barbarity is Charity is wet nurse to both
In prosperity a verity loathed
As we search and search, but do not find
Some kind of heaven, seven
When the seventh surgeon kissed her and enhanced her
Then my well-missed sister was burgeoning with cancer
The transcendentalist had shown her the answer
You're never alone when you're a topless dancer
As inside we fight what we hide from sight
All is equable in God's own eyes
Seven wrong and seven right
Wrath came upon Fortitude in the flowers
Prudence spied from the path, while Fortitude coaxed and mewed for hours
Then to Temperance his wife's dismay
Wrath quaffed Greed and Envy's cunning offering of a cocktail tray
Now Wrath subdued Envy with Greed raped Fortitude
'Til Justice descended her tower and spoke
She Wrath awoke and held Wrath's coat while Wrath slit both their throats
Seven sisters smoking marijuana, mexicana
In their Duenna's absence, listening to Madonna
With their pasha distant, subsistent on bananas
Ever glister in their visitless zenana
Seven days and seven nights, seven brothers, seven kites
Flown on seven testing flights, seven days the sun shone bright
Seven nights by candlelight
The flesh is weak, it goes one way
For these weeks of winter days, this cold won't go away
Through the young and carefree years, danger always was there near
As your will dissolves in tears of fear
Time will show what is threshed
Also sown, like a thrush, time has flown
If there's another world who knows
Past these Cadillacs in rows
Close your eyes, think of someone that you loved
And trouble not, remember all the joy they brought
For life is full of tears, and like a shot
It's soon over dear, but love is not
What a nightmare to be young, as the first rays
of awareness, like the sun, burn the fog away
Life brings death, but smile, and draw another breath
And when the disco dance is done
And last night's fun looks sick in the sun
And you don't know what's begun
Close your eyes, think of someone that you loved
And trouble not, remember all the joy they brought
For life is full of tears, and like a shot
It's soon over dear
Love's not enough to make the waves less rough
But like blood, a little goes a long way
In the darkness of uncertain days
It hurts to love someone this way
Though we seek to know its stay
Oh, oh, oh you pretty, pretty baby!
Cause I'm about to take you home with me tonight, girl!
High heels and a trench coat,
Hotter than a steamboat sailing on a summer day,
Must say, you're the baddest thing I've seen, girl!
When you walked to my front door,
My neck broke for real... turn around and let me see!
What you're working with, ?
Bridge:
So come on over here, please don't make me wait too long!
I'm not serving you, so many things I wanna do!
You're like, so hurry up and let me in!
Darling, I can't wait, it's too late,
But I'm gonna make you mine tonight!
Chorus:
You gonna be mine tonight,
I'm gonna sign my name upon it!
You gonna be mine tonight,
Cause when I finish I'm on it!
You gonna be mine tonight,
Oh, my, oh my!
Cause I'm about to cop, cop, copyright that body, yeah!
Cause I'm about to cop, cop, copyright that body, yeah!
You make me so proud of myself when I look you, you,
I'm about to put it on you, let me know if you can take that!
I've bet my last hundred bill on it,
Then take you for a ride with a thrill on it,
Better than Maybach with the wheels on it,
Put you to sleep, wake up, when you still want it!
You see, exclusively you are mine,
I got a legal to that body, baby
And I'mma do you just fine!
You gotta worry about nobody baby!
You don't think,
Chorus: (x2)
You gonna be mine tonight,
I'm gonna sign my name upon it!
You gonna be mine tonight,
Cause when I finish I'm on it!
You gonna be mine tonight,
Oh, my, oh my!
Cause I'm about to cop, cop, copyright that body, yeah!
As the salmon swim upstream, reddened with decay
To die there in their birthplace, so will I change
As the stream becomes inert and the wildflowers fade
As the forest turns to desert, so will I change
When the devil appeared, I locked him in a box
Sure if it opened, that he would eat me up
Oh, how I feared at what my fate might be
I couldn't see, locked in that box, that love held the key
Strands disentwine, and realign, an egg divides, cells multiply
And so I'm told that I was born of halves, and I then so remained
Halves reunite a single slave
The mind a lorn enclave both hateful and attrite,
the body turned a grave of muddy appetites
If the truth is an open mind, love is an open heart
Love cannot be unkind, love is blind
The mind is a deathcamp apart from love so divine
Love in its own time, love has its own designs
The mingling of two souls in transformation, encoded in this chain
Through all transfiguration, all essence must remain, all is changelessly in change
Come out, the winter's over, come out into the day
Come out, the winter's over, no season ever stays
All is changelessly in change
If the truth is an open mind, love is an open heart
Love cannot be unkind, love is blind
The mind is a deathcamp apart, from the love of an open heart
Love in its own time, love is divine, love has its own designs
Love is changelessly in change
