Sir Charles Dalrymple Belgrave KBE (9 December 1894 – 28 February 1969) was a British citizen and advisor to the rulers of Bahrain from 1926 until 1957, as "Chief Administrator" or "adviserate". He first served under Shaikh Hamad ibn Isa Al Khalifa (1872–1942), and subsequently under Shaikh Salman ibn Hamad Al-Khalifa (1895–1961).
Belgrave was educated at Bedford School and Lincoln College, Oxford. During World War I he served in the Imperial Camel Corps, in Sudan, Egypt and Palestine. In 1915 he was a member of the Darfur Expedition, for which he was awarded the Sudan Medal and Clasp. After the war he was seconded to the Egyptian Government to help the frontier districts administration in the Siwa Oasis. He was an Administrative Officer in Tanganyika Territory in 1924-25.
In the early 1920s the British in Bahrain were concerned to secure the political stability of the island. In 1923 Shaikh Isa ibn Ali Al Khalifa, nearly 80 years old, was induced to hand over power to his son Shaikh Hamad and a series of administrative reforms were carried out. After a succession of Political Agents it became apparent that a permanent administrator should be found who would ensure some political continuity. Shaikh Hamad agreed to appoint a Personal Adviser employed by himself and not by the British Government, who would help him to modernise the state.
Jah Cure, or Iyah Cure (born Siccature Alcock on 11 October 1978 in Hanover, Jamaica) is a Jamaican reggae musician, who was raised in Kingston. He was given the name Jah Cure by Capleton whom he met while growing up in Kingston. Jah Cure is also known as the King of Lovers Rock and Roots Reggae.
His first big break came in March 1997 when he released the single "King in this Jungle" which was a duet with Sizzla. The single was produced by Beres Hammond who went on to become his mentor. He then released a steady stream of singles that won him critical and popular acclaim. Beres Hammond eventually took Cure under his tutelage and began mentoring him and producing his music in the studio. In 1998, Cure performed on a European tour and visited several Caribbean Islands with Beres Hammond and the Harmony House Family.
In November 1998, while driving around Montego Bay, Cure was pulled over by the police and arrested on charges of gun possession, robbery and rape. He was prosecuted before the Gun Court in April 1999, found guilty and sentenced to 15 years in prison. Cure was transferred from the St. Catherine Adult Correctional Centre to the Tower Street Adult Correctional Centre, which had a digital recording studio the inmates could use. It was there that Cure released three albums and a number of singles, some of which have topped the Jamaican chart. His first album Free Jah's Cure The Album the Truth was released in 2000, it was followed by Ghetto Life in 2003 and Freedom Blues in 2005. More recently Cure has released the songs "Love Is", "Longing For" and "True Reflections", showing his unique voice and lyrical ability.

(31 May 2017) Britain's Prince Charles has stepped into the Transylvanian countryside, meeting local producers of cheese, jam and salami during a private visit. He met Wednesday with locals in Viscri, where he owns a house. He also is expected to tour three medieval churches that have been vandalized, with a view to restore them. The region has 250 medieval Saxon churches that belonged to Saxons or ethnic Germans. Romania has fewer than 15,000 Saxons, down from a quarter of a million in 1990. Charles received an honorary degree for his devotion to Romania on Monday. He said he was enticed by the "hilly, woody and fertile landscape" he encountered in Transylvania 20 years ago. A gentlemen was being very rude on the train last night, annoying other passengers on their journey home trying to get them to sing Xmas carols. This was on the Belgrave line train that left Southern Cross Station (Spencer Street) at about 11:20 pm Friday Decemeber 21st, before I got off at Camberwell station. No one joined in and he made a fool of himself. Serves him right for being an intrusive prick. We don't all have to talk or sing with strangers to have a pleasant train ride. He didn't even get the words right for some of the carols. Stooge!
