''To all the Viewers, here are a few things I would like to mention about everything in this video, regarding which you might have some questions - This is the fastest version of Bleed till now on the Internet (136 BPM)
Firstly - I would like to give a special mention to my dear friend 'Josh Seguin' who is the Guitarist for Mute the Saint and his band P.D.P as his own cover video of this song was the source of inspiration for me in which he played this song at 130 BPM.It was his playing and that pushed be to take it further to 136 BPM in this video.
Secondly - The Solo part was recorded live and no digital Speed-ups were used for the whole song which is the Reason why I missed a few strokes here and there.The Sitar sounds a bit shabby because of 1 main reason - It has been forcefully tuned to D sharp where no Sitar is tuned because of a standard scale length. I have kept it all real and taken it as far as I could take it.
Thirdly - This cover is NOT at all to show off or like prove something , but just a sincere effort of putting something real which might be fun to watch and hear.This song became a part of my practice schedule so since I was able to push it , I wanted to give it a try. Love the original tempo's feel a lot, but here is just something which to me was an insane experience. Learnt A lot!

The sitar is a plucked stringed instrument predominantly used in Indian and Pakistani classical music. It derives its resonance from sympathetic strings, a long hollow neck and a gourd resonating chamber.
Used widely throughout the Indian subcontinent, the sitar became known in the western world through the work of Ravi Shankar beginning in the late 1950s and early 1960s after The Kinks' top 10 single "See My Friends" featured a low tuned drone guitar which was widely mistaken to be the instrument. The sitar saw further use in popular music after The Beatles featured the sitar in their compositions, namely "Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown)" and "Within You Without You". Their use of the instrument came as a result of George Harrison taking lessons on how to play it from Shankar and Shambhu Das. Shortly after, Brian Jones of The Rolling Stones used a sitar in "Paint It, Black" and a brief fad began for using the instrument in pop songs.
In his Bharatiya Sangeet Vadya Dr. Lalmani Misra traces its development from the Tritantri veena through the nibaddh and anibaddh Tamburas (so named after Rishi Tumbru), also called tanbur and later the jantra. Construction of the similar tanpura was described by Tansen. During the time of Moghul rule Persian lutes were played at court and may have provided a basis of the sitar. However, there is no physical evidence for the sitar until the time of the collapse of the Mughal Empire.

Wilbur Sargunaraj (born July 7, 1977) (Tamil: வில்பர் சர்குணராஜ்) is a performing artist from Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India. He is widely known as India's first YouTube sensation, with nearly 3.1 million views[citation needed] for his music and instructional videos.
His videos feature him singing to “Mummy, Daddy” that he wants “the Love Marriage”, expounding the virtues of “Chicken 65”, and donning a Chennai Super Kings jersey to explain the rules of cricket, in rhyme, no less. Sargunaraj has also been touring the world with an aim of “making the common man extra-ordinary.” He is known for a series of 'How To' videos,'music' and he has released two albums:
Sargunaraj has created a new music genre - which he calls Indo World Fusion.[citation needed] His music is a blend of Indian Music and Electronica. He has been influenced by such artists as Boney M and Michael Jackson. His songs are his way to promote cultural intelligence with various languages being heard in his track listing. Sargunaraj has a large following with fans from India, US, UK, Canada, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Australia.[citation needed] He has performed in Canada, Indonesia, Singapore and will be touring of India, Australia, New Zealand, UK, Singapore and South East Asia in support of his second CD (Simple Superstar) released in 2011.

''To all the Viewers, here are a few things I would like to mention about everything in this video, regarding which you might have some questions - This is the fastest version of Bleed till now on the Internet (136 BPM)
Firstly - I would like to give a special mention to my dear friend 'Josh Seguin' who is the Guitarist for Mute the Saint and his band P.D.P as his own cover video of this song was the source of inspiration for me in which he played this song at 130 BPM.It was his playing and that pushed be to take it further to 136 BPM in this video.
Secondly - The Solo part was recorded live and no digital Speed-ups were used for the whole song which is the Reason why I missed a few strokes here and there.The Sitar sounds a bit shabby because of 1 main reason - It has been forcefully tuned to D sharp where no Sitar is tuned because of a standard scale length. I have kept it all real and taken it as far as I could take it.
Thirdly - This cover is NOT at all to show off or like prove something , but just a sincere effort of putting something real which might be fun to watch and hear.This song became a part of my practice schedule so since I was able to push it , I wanted to give it a try. Love the original tempo's feel a lot, but here is just something which to me was an insane experience. Learnt A lot!

Ustad Shahid Parvez needs no introduction in the world of Hindusthani Classical Music. Ustad Shahid Parvez hails from the famous Etawa Gharana. His family has produced many of the most revered and influential instrumentalists in the Indian Classical Music genre including the likes of Ustad Sahabdad Khan, Ustad Imdad Khan (his great grandfather), Ustad Enayat Khan, Ustad Wahid Khan (his grandfather) and Ustad Vilayat Khan. Ustad Shahid Parvez is known as the most prodigious younger generation Sitar player and his unique style of phrasing the vocal patterns through his Sitar is well appreciated by all. He was a child prodigy and started performing at a very early age. Ustaad Shahid Parvez was initiated into the rich world of Hindusthani Classical Music by his guru and father the legendary Ustad Aziz Khan who was the son of legendary maestro Ustad Wahid Khan, one of the most noted Sitar and Surbahar player for the Etawa Gharana. As the tradition goes Ustad Shahid Parvez was first initiated in the training of Tabla and Vocals before learning Sitar. Ustad Shahid Parvez got his vocal training from the legendary Indian Classical Vocalist Ustad Hafeez Khan sahib who happened to be his Uncle.
This album “Darbari” has one of the most favorite raga of the maestro himself beautifully depicted by Ustadji. Raga Darbari or Darbari Kanada is one of the raga from the Kanada Family and which originates from the Carnatic classical tradition. Raga Darbari was supposedly introduced into the North Indian Classical Music by none other than Miya Tansen himself. Raga Darbari belongs to the Asavari Thaat and is a grave raga that is played deep in the night and is known as one of the more difficult ragas to master. Ustad Shahid Parvez has shown the nuances of this beautiful yet complicated raga like a true maestro. The rendition is simply magical. In this album Ustadji has presented briefly another raga which is Raga Shahana. Over all this album is a true blue Indian Classical Music listener's delight.
