Good Luck Charlie is an original Disney Channel television sitcom, which premiered April 4, 2010. The series was created by Phil Baker and Drew Vaupen, who wanted to create a program that would appeal to entire families, as opposed to children only. It revolves around a Denver family, the Duncans, as they try to adjust to the birth of their fourth child, Charlotte "Charlie" Duncan (Mia Talerico). In each episode, Teddy Duncan (Bridgit Mendler) creates a video diary containing advice for Charlie about their family and life as a teenager. Teddy tries to show Charlie what she might go through when she is older in the video diaries for future reference. Each video diary ends with Teddy (or someone else from the family, even Charlie) saying the eponymous phrase, "Good luck, Charlie."
Among other decisions, executives included adult-centric scenes and changed the series title from Oops to Love, Teddy and finally to Good Luck Charlie in order to ensure the series would appeal to all family members. Good Luck Charlie premiered on Disney Channel in the United States on April 4, 2010. It premiered in Canada on April 5, 2010, the United Kingdom and Ireland on May 14, 2010, and in Australia and New Zealand on July 23, 2010. Good Luck Charlie was renewed for a second season, with production beginning in August 2010 with a season premiere on February 20, 2011. A feature-length Christmas Disney Channel Original Movie based on the series entitled Good Luck Charlie, It's Christmas! began production in March 2011 for a December 2011 premiere. On August 29, 2011, Disney Channel announced that they had renewed the series for a third season. The third season premiered on May 6, 2012.
I remember coming 'roundSitting by the open fire
Talking of the things I've done
And taking advice
The piano gathers dust
Those pictures all stack up
His hat still on the hook by the door
It brings good luck
You still get around
Running all over town
No one can slow you down
You're so full of life
Music fills the room
A memory fulfilled
He'll always be with you for all time
Larry's in vegas..with some chick from La
the best things are sevens and sex is just ok so please stay
she said just stay
cause there's a show at 11 and the drinks are all free you can do
better for yourself but not me ....
...so please stay and keep me company.
All the while thinking this is the good luck, stays with her most of the time
takes time to make these machines work, people are so unkind
Gets kinda nervous
used to be hard.
She takes the edges off evenings in bedrooms and back seats in big cars.
All the while thinking this is the good luck stays with her most of the time
it takes time to make these machines work people are so unkind.
People are so unkind
She looks in the mirror
to make she's here
she keeps disappearing and dreaming of movie stars- weddings and nothing is happening
He tries not to notice
She thinks he doesn't care.
Capture yourself in a jar and you stay there,
until you vanish
thin air
all the while thinking this is the good luck stays with her most of the time
it takes time to make these machines work but he aint got time while
she's riding in black cars and pokes at the sky to see if he can make stars and
people are so unkind
people are so unkind..
People are so unkind..
People are so unkind...
people are so unkind
People are so..
Tripped one day in the middle of the road
No one saw me, no one told me not to go
And so I fell
The sky felt tight in the middle of the night
But I kept walking no one told me not to sigh
'Cause I can't go back
The clouds pulled my hair and called me names
I just closed my eyes and lied
"It'll all be over before you know it"
Well the rain dried up and the nightmares ran
You said you could finally smile again
It feels good to be home
You gave me a flower, yellow, sunburned skin
I said "Good morning, sunshine, it'll all be over soon"
Wake up good luck good morning
I'm so glad to see your face
Wake up good luck good morning
We're gonna make it just you wait
I feel so alive
Long ago, I woke up early, for a job I used to love,
but then one saturday morning my boss gave me the
shove.
And he made it clear I was not needed anymore, he had
to hire in some other guy while we were away on tour.
But a few words in his defence, there was no bullshit
pretense, and it made perfect business sense, so he
sent me away, I wanted to say,
"Okay, well good luck, I hope I never see you again,
good luck, ye-ea-ah-ah"
There was this girl I slept with, she got inside my
head, when I say slept I don't mean just sex, I mean we
shared a bed.
I thought that we were married, I thought we'd be okay,
but then she made it clear that she didn't feel that
way, she said.
"It was lovely, at the start, but there's a space
inside my heart, and I think we have grown apart, so go
take a hike, and I was just like....
"Alright, good luck, I hope I never see you again,
cause if this is goodbye, good luck, good luck, I hope
I never see you again, cause if this is goodbye-ye-ye"
"I hope that you die"
Cause if you hurt me, I will hate you, It's just as
simple as that, it's not mature, and it's not
progressive, that doesn't alter the fact that....
"If you hurt me, I will hate you, if you hurt me, I
will erase you, I you hurt me, I will hate you, If you
Remember that time I used to do what no one else had done
that ruined my holiday in the sun
trying to impress you was always on my list set in first place
it was cool of you to never laugh in my face
Smile in a dumb way and give you all the flyers of my shows
this happened quite a few times in a row
kind of pathetic I hoped you would eventually show up
while staring at my image in a cup
How could this girl screw up my life?
But it's ok not that bad
it's like the best times I the best times I never had
That's just the way things go so dry
your runny nose good luck for everything so once again
stay home and do nothing put stickers on your bed
good luck for everything
Remember those days when we stole action figures at the mall
it seemed like we had no problems at all
riding our bikes out and laughing just at anything we could
while listening to all our favourite songs
We didn't have regrets for anything we did or said
there's nothing better than a friend to make those gray days pass
by quickly tomorrows just weren't on our minds too busy finding snack
supplies I guess I'd do it all again I guess I'd do it all again
But now those days are passed and gone
at least I can look back
those where the best times I the best times I've ever had
How long will I march inside this parade
another year another day
I did my service but I didn't get payed
I won't complain... I won't complain
i can't deny i'm ashamed
so i try to hide it
your face has provided me with grace
and its been warmly invited
i can see my good fortune today
with good reason why
i'm starting a life without luck today
im out of luck are you the same way
im out of luck are you the same way
im out of luck are you the same way
im out of luck are you the same way
rationalize the choice you make today
because it might be the last you'll ever choose
with a charmed life i began to see
im not the one who designed it
So it's a matter of personal choice
i'm staking my claim
i'm starting a life without luck today
im out of luck are you the same way
im out of luck are you the same way
im out of luck are you the same way
im out of luck are you the same way
generate a thousand reasons cause only you convince yourself why its right
i can see my good fortune today
with good reason why
Tripped one day in the middle of the road

Wake up good luck good morning
We're gonna make it just you wait
I feel so alive
Tell me tell me is life just a playground
Think you're the real deal honey
And someone'll always look after you
But wake up baby
You're so totally deluded
You'll end up old and lonely
If you don't get a bullet in your head
Good luck good luck
Good luck in your new bed
Enjoy your nightmares honey
When your're resting your head
You sold me sold me
Sold me down the river now
Hope you're feeling happy now
Now you'll always have a sneer in your smile
But wake up baby
You're so totally deluded
You'll end up old and lonely
If you don't get a bullet in your head
Good luck good luck
Good luck in your new bed
Enjoy your nightmares honey
When you're resting your head
And I'm glad so glad that I'm done with you
No more crying crying leaving me so black and blue
You backed me up against the wall but I stand tall
Don't give a damn no more
Oh baby bye bye
No more lies
No more lies
No more lies
Without you
Good good luck
In your new bed
Enjoy your nightmares when your resting your head
Good good luck
In your new bed
Enjoy your nightmares
Good luck good luck
Good luck in your new bed
Enjoy your nightmares honey
Children running down the street in uniforms laughing in the rain
And heading towards me, they were yelling about something
They were singing in code, something like
Ten dead men on a dead mans chest, fight the war forget about the rest
They were searching for sunlight they were searching for gold
So I, catch a fever from the inside
Dip my hands into my pockets
Open up my wallet
Such a strange gesture to make in this town
"Sure, it ain't gold but it gets me around."
Then I grab a twenty from the inside
Hand it to the smallest, tell him "Spend it wisely."
He looks up at me then back at the ground
I just wish him luck and turn right around
Now I talk to myself late at night
Or I try to connect with the ghost who was a best friend
My brother, my accomplice, another writer, my best man
And sometimes I feel so forgiven at night
I just put down the shades but I open my window
The bad luck just leaves me I hear Ben tell me
"Brother, you're home."
I think it all started in the summer '98
In Normandy New Jersey, later in the day
I was thinking about existence, and unaccepting fate
I was 14 years old, but what else can I say
Even then I knew time was gonna catch me
I graduated private school in the summer of '02
My first true love had left me and I didn't know what to do
I moved into New York and I thought I found the truth
A pint glass full of paddy's and pills you shouldn't chew
Well, I swore that the drugs were gonna kill me
I was wrong I was wrong, I was writing a song
I tried to blame myself because she was gone
I didn't know that she was unaffected, her bad luck came through a needle
I knew that the drugs were gonna kill her
Fast forward to the fall of '05
I met the girl of my dreams, and she helped me survive
Then she left my life at complicated times
In march of '06 I attempted suicide
Well, I know that sudafed can't kill me
For everyone who knew, yeah, I apologize
I'm sorry mom and dad, no I never meant to make you cry
Thanks to all my friends you're the reason I'm alive
You make everyday worth living in this ribbon called time
Well, it'll take more than bad luck just to kill me!
Limbs and things and verbs and sounds
I got ten years of words buried in the ground
They're being reassembled by the ghost of Ben Brown
He's adapting the screenplay even still now
And he better cast someone cool like Johnny Depp to play me
The child took my 20 and he looked me in the eyes
He said "Thanks, mister for the gold." and continued walking by
I could see him proudly show his friends it made me want to cry
Cause all I could do was think of mine, I know I'm a lucky guy
You want it, you got it; well that's fine
Just write me a postcard when you get home tonight
It was dark and I cried,
"There are things that we do in life to stay alive
And protect the ones we love from sleepless nights when
the ghouls walk in"
The ghosts of my family sometimes haunt me in my sleep
And I know that they're fine, but it still scares the
hell out of me
Sure, it depends on what you want
What you're expecting, and what you've got
But listen up, we're gonna be fine
'Cause everyone's afraid for their world to end.
It's the secret song we all sing up in our heads
That says, "Let me fall in love or at least pretend
We'll spend the rest of our days up in Michigan
Don't let my life become the past
'Til I'm ready to let it rest
Is that really so much ask,
To walk to the end and then come back?"
The sidewalks were filled with all the people that I'd
ever met
And they were yelling "Hey Matt, won't you come down
and join in on this?"
So I did, in a run
But by the time I got there everyone was gone
Everyone except for my dad and mom
And they spoke to me
They said, "Don't you hear our whispering
Every day when you wake up?
Don't forget to live your life because we love you
Yeah, we love you very much."
And everyone's afraid for their world to end
It's the secret song we all sing up in our heads
That says, "Let me fall in love or at least pretend
We'll spend the rest of our days up in Michigan
Don't let my life become the past
'Til I'm ready to let it rest
Is that really so much ask,
To walk to the end and then come back?"
'Cause everyone's afraid for their world to end
It's the secret song we all sing up in our heads
That says, "Let me fall in love or at least pretend
We'll spend the rest of our days up in Michigan
Don't let my life become the past
'Til I'm ready to let it rest
Is that really so much ask,
The stars were exploding, one by one they flicker and they fall into Lake Griffy - you counted them all. Seven times he called your name, then ten more and the sky shut it self off. In the darkness we wondered: Will that be enough? Will that be enough?
The traveler wanders alone in the town
Never mind the consequences
Good Luck, Good Luck
She walks along Chinatown the restaurants are closed
They all share the same name it's Good Luck, Good Luck
And if you're searching for hope in a two-dollar gift
shop
If you think that your fortune is just round the bend
If you think all this torture is just in your head
A break from the past
Good Luck, Good Luck
If you're seeking out hope in a two-dollar gift shop
If you think that the sun in the sky always shines
If you're hoping that pillows will soften your fall
And lead your comforting
Come to your senses. Please come back home. So you walked to the end but couldn't grasp what you were shown. Forget what they're telling you kid. You're not alone. I know it's not that hard to believe it. We live in a ghost town, We're learning how to function with limited sight, Give it all to the reaction.
I'm not sure that this is who I am. But I've been testing the water and I'm ready to try it again. Are you sure that that's who you are? I don't think that you'll end up like them. We live in a ghost town, And we're learning how to function with limited sight, Give it all to the reaction. A sense of comfort, That was the attraction, But we can find our own.
He's drifting in the Sea when a screaming symphony tells him that he's drowning.
All the lights fade away
And the last thing he heard her say: goodbye, I love you, and good luck!
The darkness of the Sea surrounds him as he sinks.
The light shines through the water, and slowly fades away.
The love of his life has lost him this day.
Goodbye, I love you, and good luck! Good luck, my love.
Drowning, surrounded and entwined by the Sea.
He's drowning.
Goodbye, I love you, and good luck!
Good Luck
Someone to have and to hold,
And to fill the void that your empty promises left...
Someone who won't question where you were last night,
And why there's liquor on your breath...
Good luck, baby, Good luck,
Never again will you find another lover like me.
Good luck, baby, Good luck,
Never again will you find another sucker like me.
Who else is gonna pay the rent,
And pick up the slack 'cos you're too drunk to work?
And turn a blind eye to the truth?
It hurts so bad every time you flirt...
Good luck, baby, Good luck,
Never again will you find another lover like me.
Good luck, baby, Good luck,
Never again will you find another sucker like me.
Who will still hold you close,
In lieu of rumors, whispers, snickers, and laughs?
Turning red with anger and shame,
But always finding reasons to make it last...
Good luck, baby, Good luck,
Never again will you find another lover like me.
Good luck, baby, Good luck,

I don't play bingo cause I never win
And I'll never go riding wild horses again
No I don't gamble the way I used to do
I used up all my good luck
The day I ran into you
Lightning don't strike twice that's what they all say
But lightning strikes me most everyday
When you say I love you I know that it's true
I used up all my good luck
The day I ran into you
Ooohhh
I don't go drinking on the wrong side of town
With fast and easy women that I have found
I try to be careful and to watch the things I do
I used up all my good luck
The day I ran into you
I used to take my chances whenever I could
If the lord wouldn't save me I knew lady luck would
(and somehow I managed to always pull through)
But that was long before I had something to lose
I used up all my good luck
The day I ran into you
Now some folks just don't know when it's time to quit
But baby I know that this love is it
(but baby I know that your love is the shit)
I'm done running around cause I know that its true
I used up all my good luck

I've been feeling presidential, emotions torrential, so many things to do, so much potential. But every night when I go to bed I'm thinking of you. My brain is overloaded, the public is bloated, but they can put that in their pipe and smoke it. I think I finally understand how to feel satisfied.
When I know that this can't be the real thing at least for now all I can do is think about all of the time that we have. And if this doesn't work out and things just don't pan out if I can't make you love me then oh well at least I'll have been a good man. But you've gone to a place I can't follow where the air is so dry I can't swallow. But maybe it'll rain tomorrow...or tonight. Like it did when we were in Ohio then we drove through the night to my Mom's house. In the basement we turned all the lights off, side by side.
You make me feel like a man on fire, like a man that could never get tired. Now I'm wondering how we expired, does this feel right? Cuz I could just be a good friend, like a brother, or maybe I could be your lover. It could be one or the other, or both...in time.
I saw the planets align, and that got me wandering I hopped the west wind and held on tight for a hundred nights I took it down to the town where people with powder make the dead alive It was not a pretty sight; those guys they howl and bite
The sound echoed through me, and when I came to I had lost my sight But the wind picked me up again and took me blind to the northern lights I couldn't see it, but I felt it, yeah I felt it, and the darkness it turned to white There was a flash and then it rained, and all the mud washed away I knew I'd be alright
In the place where the lights go when they go out, I found all the songs that no one is singing, that get left in the dark and it was a terrible sound
It was the sun that woke me up, it was too hot to let me sleep Now that I'm living downtown and all that concrete traps the heat Well we were up to seven AM we never agreed what was right But, hey, I'll see you tomorrow night
When we're playing in the basement Long-haired girls busting through the front door 'Cause it's just a quiet town We college books move back home to New York And you can get around in the heat without using no public transport 'Cause my house is downhill from everywhere here
Nothing more and nothing less than the finest months you ever put to rest I'll be sweating out for days and hoping you'll be back when summer's over
Put down the bottles and pick up six-string 'Cause so far it's the only thing that brings us more Than whatever's cool we're stuck in (?) Take off my collar and I play for ten Maybe I'll work in hours just to get to the end. Now I'm back to broken strings from note bends
Here we are in this world.
I don't know how we got here, but somehow we learned
how to live here.
Now our brains are too big for our heads. They're
expanding.
You can order your life through meticulous planning,
but it's a crapshoot
when things unexpectedly start to move faster.
And you try to avert a disaster.
But you can't always get what you're after.
I know you know this.
We all want to feel content,
but we need more than a place to shit and to lay a bed.
If sometimes living doesn't terrify you, if love
doesn't pulverize you, then where are you at?
Where's the power in that?
Though it's been nothing but complicated
since the first time that two people dated,
and your heart makes you deathly afraid,
it's all you've got.
Is it impossible, friend?
Is it only a dream to find truth in the visions you
see?
Or to believe the love that I'm waiting for is
somewhere waiting for me?
Well maybe the way to get what you want
is to stop waiting for it to show up.
Have faith in the wind and the rain it will come (but
only if you let it come).
Yeah, everyone feels alone.
Maybe more, maybe less, maybe this year or next or when
they grow old.
But what a bogus affliction!
It's the human condition. We all want affection
and the sound of another heartbeat.
Maybe when this ends and the stars all call down for me
it'll finally make sense, or just as likely still be
mystery.
I don't know where you are my friend,
I don't know if I'll ever know.
Try not to forget all the songs that you sing in the dark
or the beats that you tap on the dash when you drive in
your car
If you can remember the number of your best friend from
when you were twelve
then why do you tell the same stories to people you've
already told?
Come on and walk with me tonight and we'll talk
If I repeat it, it's 'cause I mean it
Don't know what to do in a conversation
but since you're on my mind, I'll tell it one more time.
And when we sat on that ledge up where I'd never been
and the sun broke through the clouds just as we jumped in
I felt more comfortable around you than I ever had
Inventing new stories to tell, put the old ones back in
their bags
... at least for now
Come on and walk with me tonight and we'll talk
If I repeat it, it's 'cause I mean it
Don't know what to do in a conversation
It might take a little time, but you know
A throat with a heart in it stuck in traffic
A ticket and a mind to fly, an alarm clock still drunk and high
Sanity painted her mask on all the way across town
A compact frown projected on a retina upside down
You're an avalanche of detour signs falling off a truck
Swooning like a boxer that is too dizzy to duck
Your decisions turn around and make you back and then you're stuck
And then good luck, good luck, good luck, good luck
A lock with a key in it that ain't turning
Smoke filling up behind a door, a fire with the purpose of being ignored
A body slipping into disease, quietly making that choice
While the joy drains out of a voice
You're an avalanche of detour signs falling off a truck
Swooning like a boxer that is too dizzy to duck
Your decisions turn around and make you back and then you're stuck
Yeah
Sick and tired of the same ol thing
Seeing the came ol faces
Check it out girl
I’ma sucker for you
My homies always tell me I’ma fool
Cause now I don’t do the things that I used too
Now I see the block is not the place for me
Life is more then dice, games, and Hennessey
That night
My partner got shoot I was home with you
So if it wasn’t for you
They woulda got me too
Girl I swear you’re my good luck that jus wont go away
You mean so much to me
Girl I swear you're the realest homie that I never had
You mean so much to me
Girl you opened my eyes (girl you opened my eyes)
Now I see ( girl now I see)
Nothing but haters and snakes surrounding me
I was letting the hood take me under
Until I found you
Now you occupy all my time
With all the sweet things you do
Girl I swear you’re my good luck that jus wont go away
You mean so much to me
Girl I swear you're the realest homie that I never had
You mean so much to me
You’re my favorite girl
With you is where I wanna be
Girl I left these streets alone
Just to be with you
Take my hand
So we can fly away to a paradise girl
Away from the madness
Away from the games
I’m standing right here thankful for the change
Girl I swear you’re my good luck that jus wont go away
You mean so much to me
Girl I swear you're the realest homie that I never had
Baby, I've been doing everything
And you've been giving nothing at all, at all, at all,
yeah
It's like I put you in the game
But you're constantly keep dropping the ball, the ball,
yeah
You know the odds are against
On finding good like this you know, you know, yeah
Since you're acting like a kid
I'm gonna take your favorite toy from ya, from ya, from
ya-ah-ah
It's not a matter of love
It's a matter of us
I hope you'll find what you're looking for
Just when I taught it to much
It was never enough
I think you're better on your own
So good luck, good luck, good luck
I won't be waiting or saving my love for you anymore
Good luck, good luck, good luck
I hope you find it, find it, find what you're looking
I don't know why you're chasing dimes
When you got a silver dollar at home, at home, yeah
Your gonna wish you could rewind
But you can't give back the time no more, no more, no
more, no
Believe me your only hurting yourself
The grass isn't greener with anybody else
You've made the biggest mistake of your life and you
know, and you know
It's not a matter of love
It's a matter of us
I hope you'll find what you're looking for
Just when I taught it to much
It was never enough
I think you're better on your own
So good luck, good luck, good luck
I won't be waiting or saving my love for you anymore
Good luck, good luck, good luck
I hope you find it, find it
Find what you're looking for
I don't know why boys are so stupid
Playing with the girl's heart expects us not to lose it
Well I'm gone, I'm gone don't even try it
So I'm saying goodbye, for the last time
It's not a matter of love
It's a matter of us
I hope you'll find what you're looking for
Just when I taught it to much
It was never enough
I think you're better on your own
So good luck, good luck, good luck
I won't be waiting or saving my love for you anymore
Good luck, good luck, good luck
I hope you find it, find it
Find what you're looking for
Oh, oh, oh
Find what you're looking for
Oh, oh, oh, oh
I wish you well, I wish you the best
And I hope you find, what you haven't yet
You had the charm, the brains, and the looks
Now all you need is a rabbit's foot
Good luck trying to find somebody better than me
Good love is hard to find, baby, can't you see
Good bye and leave thinking what you want to believe
Good luck trying to find somebody better than me
I hope on your search you don't get lost
And I want you to know that'll have my fingers crossed
You have the will and now you have the time
You better pick up every penny you find
Good luck trying to find somebody better than me
Good love is hard to find, baby, can't you see
Good bye and leave thinking what you want to believe
Good luck trying to find somebody better than me
You have the will and now you have the time
You better pick up every penny you find
Good luck trying to find somebody better than me
Good love is hard to find, baby, can't you see
Good bye and leave thinking what you want to believe
Good luck trying to find somebody better
Good luck trying to find someone better than me
Good love is hard to find, baby, can't you see
Good bye and leave thinking what you want to believe
Good luck trying to find somebody better than me
Good luck
Good luck trying to find someone better than me
Good luck, good luck
