This video shows my apartment in Gimje in an MTV cribs parody, I will be here for the next 11 months. It also contains footage from our hiking trip near Gunsan.
Tour vs Tour is a real road program that takes viewers to Korea′s most scenic sites.
In Episode 15, we go to Jinju, Gyeongsangnam-do Province and Gimje, Jeollabuk-do Province for a light-themed trip.
First stop
Benji meets his partner Sara at the Gyeongnam Arboretum in Jinju, and Team Benji visits Jinjuseom Fortress, which CNN recommends as a must-visit destination.
Meanwhile, Tina meets her partner Sean at the Geumpyeong Reservoir, and Team Tina stops by the Arirang Literature Village, which brings to life the setting of the novel "Arirang."
Second stop
Team Benji attends the Namgang Yudeung Festival and enjoy Korean tradition all around them. At the same time, Team Tina takes part in the Gimje Horizon Festival, where they take part in a traditional swinging game with prize money. How will they do?
Third stop
Both teams end their trips with seafood delicacies! Team Benji enjoys steamed clams and other seafood produces, while Team Tina enjoys baekhap clams. Which side′s meal will look more appetizing?
Following the meals, both teams enjoy the night sights of their respective festivals.
Team Benji and Team Tina have both gone on journeys of light.

This is yet another UCC mission as part of the #WowKoreaSupporters 2014 program, organised by the Korea Tourism Organization. In the beginning of October, we made a trip down to Jeollabuk-do to visit 3 places - Gochang, Gimje and Jeonju! Our group was assigned with the video promotion on the annual Gimje Horizon Festival where basically the county celebrates the rice harvest in the start of October every year! Hope this video is interesting to you!

The Gimje... Horizon Festival is now on in Jeollabuk－do Province， a southern region of Korea.
The annual event celebrates Gimje city′s rich agrarian heritage， which dates back to ancient times.
For the next three days， visitors can enjoy authentic farming culture and activities such as harvesting rice， catching grasshoppers and riding on an ox－cart.
There will also be bands playing Nongak， or traditional farmers′ music， which was listed as a world cultural heritage asset by UNESCO last year.
And in commemoration of the 70th anniversary of Korea′s independence， this year′s installment of the festival is expected to gather more than 17－hundred participants flying kites that bear the national flag.

The festival will run for 5 days, and is designed to promote high-quality rice produced in Gimje and to introduce Korean rice-farming culture. The festival had 1.7 million visitors and brought a ripple effect, roughly 800 billion worth.

Gimje (Gimje-si) is a city in North Jeolla Province, South Korea.
Gimje area has been cultivated since ancient times. Nations of early date ascend in year 200. Baekje Kingdom invaded and incorporated several small mahan states into herself in the 13th year of King Onjo’s reign. After long times, Baekje Kingdom changed its name as Byeogol but its date is not clear.
Baekje Kingdom was ruined by Tang and Silla Kingdom and Unified Silla Kingdom changed into current term, Gimje city.
Goryeo dynasty raised up its position to Gimje District in the 21st year of King Injong’s reign.
In Joseon Dynasty, Gimje firstly appeared in the year 1466 when Sejo of Joseon ruled. He promoted once again Gimje as independent county. In 1628, Gwanghaegun of Joseon combined near district called Mangyeong District into Gimje County.
Gimje is the only one region where Koreans can see horizon in landlocked area. City government enhanced its cultural characteristic of cultivating rice and other species for a long time. Gimje was under Baekje Kingdom and was one of the best area for growing rice in the 20th century, too. The festival was appointed Excellent Festival for 4 years since 2004. It also provided chance for city residents to feel traditional farming methods.

Tour vs Tour is a real road program that takes viewers to Korea′s most scenic sites.
In Episode 15, we go to Jinju, Gyeongsangnam-do Province and Gimje, Jeollabuk-do Province for a light-themed trip.
First stop
Benji meets his partner Sara at the Gyeongnam Arboretum in Jinju, and Team Benji visits Jinjuseom Fortress, which CNN recommends as a must-visit destination.
Meanwhile, Tina meets her partner Sean at the Geumpyeong Reservoir, and Team Tina stops by the Arirang Literature Village, which brings to life the setting of the novel "Arirang."
Second stop
Team Benji attends the Namgang Yudeung Festival and enjoy Korean tradition all around them. At the same time, Team Tina takes part in the Gimje Horizon Festival, where they take part in a traditional swinging game with prize money. How will they do?
Third stop
Both teams end their trips with seafood delicacies! Team Benji enjoys steamed clams and other seafood produces, while Team Tina enjoys baekhap clams. Which side′s meal will look more appetizing?
Following the meals, both teams enjoy the night sights of their respective festivals.

This is yet another UCC mission as part of the #WowKoreaSupporters 2014 program, organised by the Korea Tourism Organization. In the beginning of October, we made a trip down to Jeollabuk-do to visit 3 places - Gochang, Gimje and Jeonju! Our group was assigned with the video promotion on the annual Gimje Horizon Festival where basically the county celebrates the rice harvest in the start of October every year! Hope this video is interesting to you!

The annual event celebrates Gimje city′s rich agrarian heritage， which dates back to ancient times.
For the next three days， visitors can enjoy authentic farming culture and activities such as harvesting rice， catching grasshoppers and riding on an ox－cart.
There will also be bands playing Nongak， or traditional farmers′ music， which was listed as a world cultural heritage asset by UNESCO last year.
And in commemoration of the 70th anniversary of Korea′s independence， this year′s installment of the festival is expected to gather more than 17－hundred participants flying kites that bear the national flag.
