Tara Air Landing at Simkot Airport in Humla( Nepal Airport). It is Gate way to Manasarovar .
The airport resides at an elevation of 9,246 ft (2,818 m) above mean sea level. It has one runway which is 549 m (1,801 ft) in length. The runway has recently been improved and extended with more infrastructure being built. As a result of this construction the parking facilities and terminals also have seen some improvement.

It ends at Rara Lake, the biggest lake in Nepal which lies inside the Rara National Park. The area is a home for hundreds of species of trees, plants, birds and animals. This trek can also be done in reverse starting from Mugu or Jumla upwards.

Humla District
Humla District(Nepali: हुम्ला जिल्ला
Listen , a part of Karnali Zone, is one of the seventy-five districts of Nepal. The district, with Simikot as its district headquarters, covers an area of 5,655 km² and had a population of 40,595 in 2001; in 2011 the population was 50,858. The Northern part of Humla District is inhabited by Buddhists, originating from Tibet, whereas the South is mostly inhabited by Hindus.

Village Development Committees (VDC)
Health Care
Although there is a district hospital as well as primary health care centers, these are not enough for providing health services. The small health centers in many VDCs are often without Auxiliary Health Workers (AHWs), Auxiliary Nurse Midwives (ANMs) and Community Health Workers (CHWs). Many people still believe in Dhami and Jhakri and often resort to local practices before seeking allopathic treatment.
