Daniel is a masculine given name and a surname of Hebrew origin. It means, "God is my judge", and derives from two early biblical figures, primary among them Daniel from the Book of Daniel. It is a common given name for males, and is also used as a surname. It is also the basis for various derived given names and surnames.
The name evolved into over 100 different spellings in countries around the world. Nicknames (Dan, Danny) are common in both English and Hebrew, although in some instances "Dan" may be a complete given name rather than a nickname. The name "Daniil" (Даниил) is common in Russia. Feminine versions (Danielle, Daniela, Daniella, Dani, Danitza) are prevalent as well. The Dutch names "Daan" and "Daniël" are also variations of Daniel. A related surname developed as a patronymic, Daniels. Other surnames derived from "Daniel" include McDaniel and Danielson.
In the United States, the U.S. Social Security Administration reports that Daniel has peaked as the fifth most popular name for newborns in 1985, 1990, 2007, and 2008. The U.S. Census Bureau reported that in the 2000 census, "Daniels" was the 182nd most common surname in the U.S., while "McDaniel" was ranked at 323, and "Daniel" (without a final "s") was ranked at 380.

A music video or song video is a short film integrating a song and imagery, produced for promotional or artistic purposes. Modern music videos are primarily made and used as a marketing device intended to promote the sale of music recordings. There are also cases where songs are used in tie in marketing campaigns that allow them to become more than just a song. Tie ins and merchandising could be used in toys are marketing campaigns for food and other products. Although the origins of music videos date back to musical short films that first appeared in the 1920s, they came into prominence in the 1980s when MTV based their format around the medium. Prior to the 1980s, these works were described by various terms including "illustrated song", "filmed insert", "promotional (promo) film", "promotional clip", "promotional video", "song video", "song clip" or "film clip". Since the creation and increased popularity of YouTube, mainstream artists now promote new music videos by releasing trailers of short promos on the site for their upcoming song and music video. Consequentially, YouTube has been converted into a social media platform for celebrities and artists to market themselves to their fans and audiences.

Today, the Imperial forces of Fist of the Empire (FoE) rallied on the Alderaan battlefield and decisively destroyed Republic forces led by Chronos. FoE held Illum with all points captured for over one hour waiting for Republic forces to show. Due to lack of enemy opposition, FoE maneuvered forces to Alderaan to engage the enemy. Like Seal Team Six took out Osama, FoE delivered the kill shot into Chronos' down syndrom shaped head as he cowered behind civilian NPC guards. Chronos' Elite Battalions were continuously cut down as wave after wave charged safety-helmet first into the FoE slaughter machine. After failing to kill a single FoE player, Republic forces then decided to separate their "battalions" into groups of two players with two companions. FoE responded by destroying every playe...

(The Spalding Enigma) Did an “angel of God” in the late 1820s really give 18-year-old con artist Joseph Smith Mormon bible, as he claimed? Or was the book really derived from Solomon Spalding’s romantic fantasy novel called Manuscript Found? Did Baptist/Campbellite preacher Sidney Rigdon steal the recently deceased Spalding’s book from the Pennsylvania print shop? Did Rigdon hook up with Oliver Cowdrey and Joseph Smith Jr. and after their 3-year rewrite publish the book in 1830? Co-authors Arthur Vanick and Wayne Cowdrey discuss their 558-page book (Concordia Publishers, 2005; video thanks to Doug Spaulding) 15 min. produced by www.snowshoefilms.com

The resurrection of Jesus is the Christian belief that, after being put to death to take the punishment for sins, Jesus rose again from the dead. It is the central tenet of Christian theology and part of the Nicene Creed: "On the third day he rose again in accordance with the Scriptures". In the New Testament, after the Romans crucified Jesus, he was anointed and buried in a new tomb by Joseph of Arimathea but God raised him from the dead and he appeared to many people over a span of forty days before he was taken to heaven, to sit at the right hand of God. We are going to take a sneak peek at the new 2.0 changes in the CES letter and summary of upgrades in some areas to make it more of a resource in some ways, while simultaneously Jeremy appears to be backing down in the Bible Examination category by removing that chapter and trying to make friends with more Christians while 9 eliminating his "snarkiness" to lure more TBM's in. additionally we will have another quick look at the first portions of" A Letter to an Apostle, a recent publication by a good brother by the name of Paul Douglas which appears to be very detailed challenge to church legitimacy and Authority claims address to to Dieter F. Uchtdorf, which we are about to get into reviewing as well how it compares to "The CES Letter" . Of course Paul only gets a response from Di...

We learn of the horrible murders and genocides that took place in its early days as well as how it is still destroying lives in the U.S. We discuss some of the outrageous concepts such as the “garments” or magic underwear that protect from bullets and the devil as well as Joseph Smith talking to god in a hat etc. We recorded over two hours of audio and delve into many topics. In this lecture/discussion video from my Spring 2014 Religion in America class at Marist college, we explore the themes discussed in the textbook for the class (America's Religions: From Their Origins to the Twenty-first Century 3rd. ed., by Peter Williams), focusing on Chapter 30, "New World Revelation: Joseph Smith and the Rise of the Mormons". In this chapter, we start out with Joseph Smith and the "Burnt-Over District" of upstate New York, and discuss the revelations Smith narrated, culminating in a new scripture, the Book of Mormon. We examine the community and faith at which Smith is at the center as the development of a distinctly new religion on American soil, the Latter Day Saints or Mormons. We chart out the progressive westward movement and development of doctrine, institu...
