The story follows the passing of this bomb from anarchist to anarchist as several attempts are made on the life of Tsarist governor general, until, at the end, it is effectively and harmlessly defused by a bomb expert. The presence of the bomb has a destroying effect on all of the Polish revolutionaries, they either die or breakdown.

Animal rights campaigner hit with LIVE DUCK during cruel Spanish festival This woman, taking part in a summer tradition in Catalonia, hit an animal rights activist with a live duck Shocking footage showing a woman using a duck as a weapon has emerged angering animal rights activists. A tradition in the Town of Rosas, in Catalonia, is to celebrate the summer festival by dropping ducks into the sea, and participants attempt to catch them. The event receives some attention from animal rights activists, who claim the tradition could be stressful to the birds. And this clip has done nothing to help that, as it shows a woman hitting an animal rights campaigner over the head with a LIVE DUCK that she has just caught. The activist was filming the scene when the woman bashed her with the duck. The incident has caused outrage and has sparked a petition against the tradition, which has already gained 10,000 signatures.

President Barack Obama was delivering remarks at an LGBT Pride Month reception at the White House Wednesday afternoon when a transgender woman interrupted him, shouting “President Obama, release all LGBTQ immigrants from detention!” Judging by the cell phone video of the confrontation that was quickly uploaded to YouTube, the woman is connected to the Not One More Deportation movement. “You’re in my house,” Obama said in response as the crowd tried to shush the activist. As security attempted to escort her out, the president said that heckling was not the way to get a “good response” from him on this issue. “Shame on you, you shouldn’t be doing this,” he added. The crowd chanted the president’s name as the woman repeated, “Not one more deportation” over and over again. Fusion’s Jorge Rivas identified the woman as Jennicet Gutiérrez, a founding member of the immigrant rights organization FAMILIA TQLM. She said in a statement: “There is no pride in how LGBTQ and transgender immigrants are treated in this country. If the president wants to celebrate with us, he should release the LGBTQ immigrants locked up in detention centers immediately. The White House gets to make the decision whether it keeps us safe.”

Pig wrestlers toss animal rights activist over a fence at the Utah County Fair

Professional pig wrestlers with Confederate flags may face assault charges after attacking animal rights activists at the Utah County Fair on Wednesday. According to KUTV, the Utah County Fair has allowed children as young as 5 years old to wrestle pigs for several years now. On Wednesday, KUTV’s Chris Jones visited the fair to ask the pig wrestlers about animal rights activists who had been protesting the event. Jones pointed out to pig wrestling spokesperson Brody Steele they were creating controversy by “pig wrestling and flying the Confederate flag.” “We were joking about it the other day,” Steele recalled as he rolled up his Confederate flag. “People were calling us racist animal abusers.” According to Steele, the pigs enjoyed the process of being wrestled and then dumped in a barrel. And he said that the pigs would probably choose to wrestle people instead of running away if they were given a choice. “I mean, they hurt us more than we hurt the pigs,” Steele insisted. However, protesters at the fair argued that pig wrestling amounted to abuse because the animals were as intelligent as a 4-year-old child. Before the evening was over, the protesters briefly shut down the pig wrestling attraction. Video of the confrontation showed one of the pig wrestlers tossing an animal activist over a fence and out of the pig wrestling cage. Another protester was reportedly shoved. Jones noted that the men could face assault charges for attacking the protesters.

The Spiritual Memoirs of Andrew Young: Civil Rights Activist, Minister & Statesman (1994) Andrew Jackson Young (born March 12, 1932) is an American politician, diplomat, activist and pastor from Georgia. He has served as a Congressman from Georgia's 5th congressional district, the United States Ambassador to the United Nations, and Mayor of Atlanta. He served as President of the National Council of Churches USA, was a member of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) during the 1960s Civil Rights Movement, and was a supporter and friend of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Since leaving political office in 1989, Young has founded or served in a large number of organizations founded on public policy, political lobbying and international relations, with a special focus on Africa. In 1977, President Jimmy Carter appointed Young to serve as the United States Ambassador to the United Nations. Young resigned from Congress, and his seat was taken by Wyche Fowler after a special election. Although the US and the UN enacted an arms embargo against South Africa, as President Carter's UN ambassador, Andrew Young vetoed economic sanctions.[5] Young caused controversy when, during a July 1978 interview with French newspaper Le Matin de Paris, while discussing the Soviet Union and its treatment of political dissidents, he said, "We still have hundreds of people that I would categorize as political prisoners in our prisons," in reference to jailed civil-rights and anti-war protestors. In response, U.S. Representative Larry McDonald (D-GA) sponsored a resolution to impeach Young, but the measure failed 293 to 82. Carter referred to it in a press conference as an "unfortunate statement".[1] In 1979, Young played a leading role in advancing a settlement in Rhodesia with Robert Mugabe and Joshua Nkomo, who had been two of the military leaders in the Rhodesian Bush War, which had ended in 1979. The settlement paved the way for Mugabe to take power as Prime Minister of the newly formed Republic of Zimbabwe. There had been a general election in 1979, bringing Bishop Abel Muzorewa to power as leader of the United African National Council leading to the short-lived country of Zimbabwe Rhodesia. Young refused to accept the election's results, and described the election as "neofascist", a sentiment echoed by United Nations Security Council Resolution 445 and 448. The situation was resolved the next year with the Lancaster House Agreement and the establishment of Zimbabwe.[1] Young's favoring of Mugabe and Nkomo over Muzorewa and his predecessor and ally, Ian Smith, was, and remains, controversial. Many African-American activists, including Jesse Jackson and Coretta Scott King, supported the anti-colonialism represented by Mugabe and Nkomo.[1] However, it was opposed by others, including civil-rights leader Bayard Rustin, who argued that the 1979 election had been "free and fair",[6] as well as senators Harry F. Byrd, Jr. (I-VA) and Jesse Helms (R-NC). It was later criticized in 2005 by Gabriel Shumba, executive director of the anti-Mugabe Zimbabwe Exiles Forum.[7] In July 1979, Young discovered that an upcoming by the United Nations Division for Palestinian Rights called for the creation of a Palestinian State. Young wanted to delay the because the Carter Administration was dealing with too many other issues at the time. He met with the UN representatives of several Arab countries to try to convince them the should be delayed; they agreed in principle, but insisted that the Palestine Liberation Organization also had to agree. As a result, on July 20, Young met with Zehdi Terzi, the UN representative of the PLO, at the apartment of the UN Ambassador from Kuwait. On August 10, news of this meeting became public when Mossad leaked its illegally-acquired transcript of the meeting first to Prime Minister Menachem Begin, and then through his office to Newsweek.[8] The meeting was highly controversial, since the United States had already promised Israel that it would not meet directly with the PLO until the PLO recognized Israel's right to exist.[1] Young's UN ambassadorship ended on August 14.[1][9][10] Jimmy Carter denied any complicity in what was called the "Andy Young Affair", and asked Young to resign. Asked about the incident by Time soon afterward, Young stated, "It is very difficult to do the things that I think are in the interest of the country and maintain the standards of protocol and diplomacy... Interview Highlights: GREGG SHOTWELL- If they let these auto companies go bankrupt, its going to turn this recession into a depression. Im shocked that theyre even contemplating this. Theres no such thing as an orderly bankruptcy. You know, millions of people would be affected. I dont mean directly. You know that General Motors only employs 73,000 UAW members. But its all the suppliers, and those suppliers are going to be affected today. Its going to start with Chrysler, you know, shutting down for the next thirty days. Anybody that supplies them in any way is out of work, and theyre not getting SUB payment, and these people wont even get unemployment. And then General Motors is shutting down all these plants now, too. The only people who are not at fault in this are the workers. The workers show up every day. They do their jobs. They do them well. They do them diligently. And theyre the only people who should not have to make any concessions. And, in fact, they already have made concessions. And I dont just mean UAW members. Wages have been falling in the United States since 1973. People cannot keep up. Delphi has been in bankruptcy since October of 2005, and they are still in bankruptcy. It took them almost three years to renegotiate their contracts. And Delphi is not a tenth the size of the General Motors octopus. General Motors and Chrysler, they would be in courts for years. The only people who would make money on this would be attorneys. The danger of this that I see, as well, is that, you know, in the 90s, when the auto companies were making billions of dollars, they were taking profits out of North America and investing them overseas in Europe, South America and Asia. So theres been a huge transfer of assets overseas. Now, those assets would remain protected in bankruptcy. So what, in effect, theyve done is undermined the manufacturing base in the United States so that they could become a major importer to the United States. You see, they already have fuel-efficient—small fuel-efficient cars that theyre making in Europe and in Asia and in South America. Theyre ready for import. And they would like to be like Toyota. Yes, Toyota has plants in the United States, but Toyota imports about 46 percent of all the cars it sells in the United States. Thats what General Motors is setting itself up to do, and theyre going to use this capitalist disaster to help them wipe out the dealerships and close the plants. And Congress is just going to help them strong-arm the unions into giving up any job security or gains. Also, youre right about the bankruptcy. And this is one of their goals, is to wipe out the legacy costs. You know, the people who earned a pension and earned healthcare and retirement in the past, they would take that away. To me, its like a thirty-year mortgage. I paid my mortgage every week, and I paid it off. Now that house is mine. Now they want to say, well, were going to take it back. The real difference is in what they owe the retirees, what they call the legacy costs. Now, youll hear in the media, theyll say GM workers get $73 an hour, and Toyota workers only get $45 an hour. They arrive at that $73 an hour by tacking on the cost of all the retirees onto the active worker. This is fraudulent bookkeeping. This is essentially a Ponzi scheme, wherein the old investors are paid off by the new investors. In other words, the older investors, the retirees, their pay—their pension and healthcare—comes from the new investors, the workers. I heard Keith Olbermann compare it to saying the average wage in America, and then you would add on everybody whos collecting Social Security or pensions. Its really preposterous. On top of that, I want to emphasize this. I earned my pension while I was working, not [inaudible] somebody else. The guy working today isnt earning my pension. I already earned that. General Motors should have taken that money, set it aside, put it in a trust. If they didnt do that, then theyve committed a malfeasance. Thats their responsibility. Also, when I was working, they charged the customer more money based on the fact, based on their excuse that we have to pay more for this worker because of healthcare and pension and his retirement, so we have to charge the customer more. Whether that was 1980 or 1990, they raised those prices. What did they do with that money? They apparently didnt put it in a trust. But they did—and this is a fact—theyve invested largely overseas. General Motors and Ford, they have more plants overseas than they have in the United States. Ludhiana: Fasting Sikh activist Surat Singh Khalsa’s son-in-law Satwinder Singh Bhola was murdered in Chicago, US, on Monday. According to sources, unidentified killers attacked Bhola, 52, with sharp-edged weapon in a parking lot near his house. Bhola was returning home from his gas station. Khalsa’s son Ravinderjit Singh Gogi confirmed the incident. The family is in a state of shock. Gogi said Bhola was attacked around 1.40 am (US time). He said the number of attackers was not known yet. Bhola was husband of Sarvinder Kaur, who was taking care of Khalsa when he was admitted to a hospital. She returned to the US a few days ago.

This woman is the animal abuser, her two small dogs are on this pavement in 90 degree weather without protection. There was no heat suspension the drivers were going in voluntarily. Every time the temperature reaches 90 along the hack line. The Department of Health sends out the NYPD mounted unit to take temperatures in three areas then they decide if a suspension is to be called. The carriage drivers have 45 minutes to go back to the stables. This woman started taping and harassing the minute her iPhone hit 90. There was no suspension called, all the drivers went in voluntarily. Yet they receive this constant harassment. Thank you Mayor de Blasio for your political payback.
