"Hit 'Em Up" is a diss song by rap artist Tupac Shakur (2Pac), featuring his group the Outlawz. It is the B-side to the single "How Do U Want It", released on June 4, 1996, from the album All Eyez on Me. The song’s lyrics contain vicious insults to several East Coast rappers, chief among them, Shakur's former friend turned rival, The Notorious B.I.G., also known as Biggie Smalls. The song was recorded in Los Angeles, California at Can Am Studios in May 1996. Reporter Chuck Philips, who interviewed Shakur at Can Am, described the song as "a caustic anti-East Coast jihad in which the rapper threatens to eliminate Biggie, Sean Combs (Puffy), and a slew of Bad Boy artists and other New York acts." The song was produced by long-time collaborator Johnny "J" and samples the bassline from "Don't Look Any Further" by Dennis Edwards and interpolates "Get Money" by Biggie Smalls group Junior M.A.F.I.A., which used the Dennis Edwards sample as well. The video, itself described as infamous, includes impersonations of Biggie, Puffy and Lil' Kim.
"Hit 'Em" is a single by Oakland Hip Hop artists Zion I & The Grouch, released in 2006 on Om Records. The single was the first released from their collaborative album Heroes in the City of Dope, and features Bay-area rapper Mistah F.A.B. The single's B-side is "Trains & Planes", produced by Headnodic of the Crown City Rockers.
Hit is a verb meaning to strike someone or something.
Hit or HIT may also refer to:
Christopher George Latore Wallace (May 21, 1972 – March 9, 1997), better known by his stage names The Notorious B.I.G, Biggie, or Biggie Smalls, was an American rapper. Murdered at age 24, Wallace is consistently ranked as one of the greatest and most influential rappers of all time.
Wallace was raised in the Brooklyn borough of New York City. When he released his debut album Ready to Die in 1994, he became a central figure in the East Coast hip hop scene and increased New York's visibility in the genre at a time when West Coast hip hop was dominant in the mainstream. The following year, Wallace led his childhood friends to chart success through his protégé group, Junior M.A.F.I.A. While recording his second album, Wallace was heavily involved in the growing East Coast–West Coast hip hop feud.
On March 9, 1997, Wallace was killed by an unknown assailant in a drive-by shooting in Los Angeles. His double-disc album Life After Death, released 16 days later, rose to No. 1 on the U.S. album charts and was certified Diamond in 2000, one of the few hip hop albums to receive this certification. Wallace was noted for his "loose, easy flow", dark semi-autobiographical lyrics and storytelling abilities. Two more albums have been released since his death. He has certified sales of 17 million units in the United States.

Outlawz members Young Noble and E.D.I. Mean denied rumors that 2Pac knew he was going to die early, as they revealed that he made many plans, including building a compound. During the sit-down they also shared the street mentality at Death Row while they were there, but added that it was normal for street guys to carry out street activities. You can hear more of what the Outlawz had to say about Dr. Dre leaving Death Row and their thoughts on Danny Boy coming out as gay in the above video.

Tupac Shakur is one of the most dominant figures in the history of hip hop. http://smarturl.it/TupacLiveHOBdvdbrumd His recording career lasted just five years from 1991 to his murder in a drive-by shooting in 1996 but established a body of work of an exceptionally high standard which achieved massive commercial success. Since his death there have been a number of posthumous DVD releases variously purporting to tell the "story" of Tupac Shakur through interviews and documentary footage. This film is different and captures the sheer raw excitement of Tupac live in concert. Definitely not for the faint hearted, the show contains Tupac delivering his strongly held opinions direct to the audience and Snoop holding forth on sex and drugs with his usual gathering of suitably dressed women.

I wrote the concept for this video, produced it w/my ex partner Tracy D. Robinson and I did all the CGI and post on it as well. Kevin Swain Directed it. Matty Labitique shot it. As with all of the Tupac videos I produced or directed, it was a lot of work and tension, but well worth it. I got to work closely with Tupac and that was a true blessing.

Whatever we make, P, we goin in half
A nigga sex money and greed, costs of livin lavish
Hey I'ma get ya for what you got
If you ain't got it, act like you don't have it
I grab my gun before I grab my shoes
Everything on the line, so I can't lose
