A judge is a person who presides over court proceedings, either alone or as part of a panel of judges. The powers, functions, method of appointment, discipline, and training of judges vary widely across different jurisdictions. The judge is supposed to conduct the trial impartially and in an open court. The judge hears all the witnesses and any other evidence presented by the parties of the case, assesses the credibility and arguments of the parties, and then issues a ruling on the matter at hand based on his or her interpretation of the law and his or her own personal judgment. In some jurisdictions, the judge's powers may be shared with a jury. In inquisitorial systems of criminal investigation, a judge might also be an examining magistrate.
A variety of traditions have become associated with the rank or occupation.
In many parts of the world, judges wear long robes (usually in black or red) and sit on an elevated platform during trials (known as the bench).
In some countries, especially in the Commonwealth of Nations, judges sometimes wear wigs. The long wig often associated with judges is now reserved for ceremonial occasions, although it was part of the standard attire in previous centuries. A short wig resembling but not identical to a barrister's wig would be worn in court. This tradition, however, is being phased out in Britain in non-criminal courts.
You do the crime. You do the time.

Heartbreak Behind Gayety of a Girly-Girl Show!
Judy O'Brien: Go on, laugh, get your money's worth. No-one's going to hurt you. I know you want me to tear my clothes off so you can look your fifty cents' worth. Fifty cents for the privilege of staring at a girl the way your wives won't let you. What do you suppose we think of you up here with your silly smirks your mothers would be ashamed of? We know it'd the thing of the moment for the dress suits to come and laugh at us too. We'd laugh right back at the lot of you, only we're paid to let you sit there and roll your eyes and make your screamingly clever remarks. What's it for? So you can go home when the show's over, strut before your wives and sweethearts and play at being the stronger sex for a minute? I'm sure they see through you. I'm sure they see through you just like we do!
Bubbles: Listen, squirt! I don't fall in gutters. I pick my spots.

I want it back again
The spirit that WE ONCE HAD
Showing all these new hards
They're not SO FUCKIN' BAD
You and your crew
Would have never MADE IT THROUGH
The days we hung out
In 1982
The New York Brotherhood
I can't let go
The New York Brotherhood
Where did they go?
We called it the Wolfpack
We called it UNITED BLOOD
We wore chains around our waists
And CONSTRUCTION GLOVES
Tompkins Square on a Saturday night
I see my brother, he's in a fight
They got him down, it's 3 on 1
10 of us show, GUESS WHO WON?
We hung out on 7th and A
Friends worked the door
We didn't have to pay
Boston came around one night
Push came to shove and
WE WERE DOWN TO FIGHT
We have seen the backstab blood
Most came and fuckin' went
The played the part
And they wore the right clothes
But they didn't know
What the fuck it meant
And I see it today
My backstabbing brothers
Believing the lies
That they're telling each other
And I know I'll be here
When they're gone
'Cuz the New York Brotherhood
Is where my heart belongs
In remembrance of old New York
And to my friends
And the ones I've fought
A special place is left in my heart
Those days are gone, man
I THINK BACK TO THE THINGS I'VE SAID
AND I THOUGHT THAT I WAS RIGHT AT THE TIME
I LOOK BACK AT THE THINGS I'VE DONE
IN TIMES WHEN COMPASSION WAS SO HARD TO FIND
NOW I'M STRONGER, SO MUCH STRONGER
AND I'LL CONFRONT MYSELF
I'LL LIVE AND LEARN AND LOVE IT
I'M NOT AFRAID TO CHANGE MYSELF
NO APOLOGIES, AN ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
I DON'T NEED YOU TO POINT OUT MY MISTAKES
YOU'RE SO RIGHTEOUS, YOU'RE SO HIGH UP
BUT WHO PUT YOU THERE, NOT ME
IT'S SO FUNNY YOU THINK I CARE
ABOUT YOUR IDEAS OF RIGHT AND WRONG
I GOT MUSIC AND I GOT FRIENDS
WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT
THIS IS WHERE I BELONG
IT'S EASY, SO EASY
TO SIT BACK AND TELL ME THAT I FUCKED UP
YOU'RE TELLING STORIES
I'M TALKING THE TRUTH
I GAVE YOU TOO MUCH CREDIT
I THOUGHT YOU'D LISTEN
NEVER OPENED MY MOUTH
BUT YOU DREW A CONCLUSION
FROM WHAT YOU HEARD
YOU THINK IT'S FUNNY? I THINK IT'S SAD
YOU FEEL YOUR JOB IN LIFE IS TO DISTORT MY WORDS
I WAS THINKING OF IT ALL
THE TIMES I'VE BEEN THROUGH
WHY DIDN'T I FALL?
I WAS BELIEVING IT WAS MY LUCK
DISBELIEVING IN WHAT I COULDN'T TOUCH
(CHORUS)
WAS I LOOKING FOR THE ANSWERS
SO I CAN SAVE THE TRUTH?
NOT TRYING TO GET WISE
SO I CAN GET OVER ON A FOOL
TAKE ME AWAY!
I'VE BEEN AROUND
AND I'VE SEEN ENOUGH
THE POOREST OF THE POOR
THE WEAK AND THE TOUGH
THEY SAY NOT TO QUESTION
BUT I GOTTA ASK WHY
I CAN STILL REMEMBER
THE LAST TIME I CRIED
(CHORUS)
CAN YOU TAKE ME AWAY?
I SAW ALL THE GOOD
GET CAUGHT IN A RAGE
IT LEFT ME DOWN-I'M DOWN
IT LEFT ME DOWN AND CONFUSED
I FACED ODDS SO STRONG
THAT I USED BOTH FISTS
NOW I'M ASKING
CAN YOU HELP ME?
CAN YOU HELP ME STAY CLEAN?-HELP ME
BECAUSE WHAT'S MY PROTECTION
IF I GIVE UP MY FISTS?
WHEN IT HURTS
WILL YOU EASE THE PAIN?
WHY AM I UNDER OBSERVATION?
I THOUGHT YOUR LOVE WAS FOR FREE
I FEEL THE HATE, IT KEEPS COMING DOWN
COMING DOWN LIKE THE RAIN
LOOK AT ME, I'M GETTING DRENCHED
WE KEEP GETTING CAUGHT UP
IN THIS RAGING WIND
NOW LOOK AT US, WE'RE BLOWN AWAY.....BY THE WIND
I WANT TO SEE HOW HIGH IS THAT FLAG GONNA FLY
WHEN THE STORM COMES RAGING THROUGH
IT SURROUNDS ALL OF US
IT?S WINDS CARRY THE TRUTH
THE RAINS ARE THE TEARS
THAT HAVE BEEN FALLNG OVER THE YEARS
THIS STORM IS GONNA WIPE AWAY
WIPE AWAY THE INSINCERE
NO MORE WIITE, NO MORE BLACK
NO MORE BARRIERS, NO MORE TRAPS
THERE WILL BE OUIET AFTER THE STORM
I feel the hat, it keeps coming down
coming down like the rain
Look at me, I`m getting drenched
We keep getting caught up
in this raging wind
Look at us, we`re blown away
Right away
I want to see how high is that
flag gonna fly when the storm
comes raging through
it surrounds all of us
It`s winds carry the truth
The rain is the tears
that have fallen over the years
The sorm is gonna wipe away,
wipe away the insincere
There`s no more white
no more black
no more barriers
no more traps
These streets are all the same,
but the problems are new
and the names have all changed
but the problem it still grew
and I want to fade away
There will be a quiet
after the storm
Your sun is setting
And the day grows late
As we walk home
This wasteland of hate
There's people getting angry
In the darkest hours
There's blood on the streets
The streets are ours
Warriors, Never Forget The Warriors
Our mates are a diamond
And we shine like steel
You'll never beat us down
Because the wounds will never heal
Don't take us for a ride
You can't rob a warrior
Of his pride
Warriors, Never Forget The Warriors
It's your hate on which we feed
We are the new class
We are the new breed
Send our regards
To a nation on fire
And with love
A boquet of barbed wire
From The Warriors,
Never Forget The Warriors
You'll Never Forget The warriors
[Led Zeppelin Cover]
Here we go I've seen this Jekyll/Hyde routine before
My one-man soap opera show, do and spit and snarl and stomp the floor
Yeah, I don't think you're mean cause you're scared or frightened
I just think you're mean 'ause you're unenlightened
Or maybe it is that you are afraid at best
That no matter what you put between your legs it won't fill this whole in your
chest
Or could it be you weren't shown love or affection
Or better yet you were over-indulged and now you call it oppression
(chorus)
My spleen is full though I say I don;t hold a grudge
And it may make me vile and wretched and worse off than you
But I do judge
So tell me suburbia, tell me about your life
Tell me the saga of how you grew up with no struggle or strife
I consider it the highest form of neglect
Like nobody ever told you "no" so now you don't know respect
(chorus)
Don't listen to image now cause image is a liar
Yeah, to hear this song I'm drinking napalm and pissing fire
But the truth be known I'm brought to my knees everyday
So I figure while I'm down there I may as well get comfy and pray
Cause sadly there are people like you all around
Not just addicts or assholes but spirits who can't reach their ground
Say you've got a right, and who am I to say
But when you do drugs, you get in my way
I'm not gonna waste my breath on you
I'll let your drugs run you through
The things I've been hearing are scaring me
A man made substance that sets your mind free
I can't believe you've gone back on your words
Those drugs are gonna kill you if I don't get to you first
So what are you gonna do, be strong or fold?
Make the wrong choice, you'll do what you're told
I'm stepping back, and I'm gonna judge you
I hope that fucked up head can tell you what to do
I'm keeping it simple
And I'm keeping it clear
And I won't use words
'Cuz you're too fucked up to hear
The crew is strong
And we're setting it straight
And we'll be the judge
Of your fucking fate
You've lost my respect
And I've seen your worst
And I've seen your best
And I won't settle for anything less
I guess you can call me obsessed
You've lost my respect
You've lost my respect
You've lost my respect
I see you passing judgment
It ain't a judgment day
And I can't let you misjudge me that way
Ain't shooting for perfection
I'm scared of my reflection
But I can't let you misjudge me that way
I used to think that I could raise myself above it
You could make me break down and cry
But you can't make me love it
And I can't fake it, you can't take it
I ain't holdin' no grudge
'Cause I can't judge him, and you can't judge him
And who's gonna judge the judge?
Who's gonna judge the judge?
High falootin aloofing
Has got you in its ways
And I can't let you misjudge me that way
Not that I care what you think of me
But I hear every word that you say
And I can't let you misjudge me that way
Sticks and stones may break my bones, but I can take the blame
You can find yourself a new scapegoat, but I won't play no game
I can't make it, you can't take it
I ain't holding no grudge
'Cause I can't judge him, and you can't judge him
And who's gonna judge the judge?
Who's gonna judge the judge?
Whooooo-aaaa
(What did you do, so beautiful, so pretty
You look so pretty, beautiful)
I see you pointing fingers
You're pointing one my way
And I can't let you misjudge me that way
Now, now, now I never said I was innocent for justice is gonna find a way
And I can't let you misjudge me that way
No, no, no I can't let you misjudge me that way
I WAS THINKING OF IT ALL
THE TIMES I'VE BEEN THROUGH
WHY DIDN'T I FALL?
I WAS BELIEVING IT WAS MY LUCK
DISBELIEVING IN WHAT I COULDN'T TOUCH
(CHORUS)
WAS I LOOKING FOR THE ANSWERS
SO I CAN SAVE THE TRUTH?
NOT TRYING TO GET WISE
SO I CAN GET OVER ON A FOOL
TAKE ME AWAY!

THE POOREST OF THE POOR

CAN YOU HELP ME?
CAN YOU HELP ME STAY CLEAN?-HELP ME
BECAUSE WHAT'S MY PROTECTION
IF I GIVE UP MY FISTS?
WHEN IT HURTS
WILL YOU EASE THE PAIN?
WHY AM I UNDER OBSERVATION?
I THOUGHT YOUR LOVE WAS FOR FREE
JUST LIKE YOU I CHOSE A PATH
AND FOUGHT TO MAKE IT WORK
THOUGHT I FOUND WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR
OH GOD I'M FUCKING LOST
LIKE YOU, I FACE REJECTION
LIKE YOU, I LOOK FOR ACCEPTANCE
LIKE YOU, I DON?T ALWAYS DO RIGHT
NOW I'M TRYING TO FIND THE THINGS I FOUGHT TO HIDE
WHEN I WAS YOUNG
I'VE GOT TO FIND
THE THINGS I LEFT BEHIND
NOW ALL I SEE
IS THE DAMAGE I'M CAUSING ME
I'VE FOUND THINGS AREN'T BLACK AND WHITE
I'VE LOST THINGS THAT WERE RIGHT IN SIGHT
I'VE HAD MY SHARE OF DISCOURAGEMENT
I TRIED TO FORGET, I TRIED TO FORGET
I WAS LIKE YOU
If only I could put it into words
The way I feel
Telling myself that the situation's not real
Lost and sometimes I feel
I have nowhere to go
Because you tell me it's wrong
To let my feelings show
I've lost my place to turn
I know I fucked it up
I turned away
One too many times
Suffering from an ego trip
That left me fucking blind
Friends are telling me
The loneliness will go away
But the memories will be there
As long as the ink in my fingers stays
I choose to stay away
Because I want to keep control
My head is thinking straight
But my heart says explode
The thought of someone else
Is much too much
And friendship means
I REMEMBER WHEN WHAT WE SAID MADE A DIFFERENCE
AND LOOKS WEREN?T THAT IMPORTANT
RUMOURS HAD NO PLACE HERE
A FRIEND STAYED TRUE
YOU COULD LAUGH AND JOKE BECAUSE HE CARED
CHORUS:
TIMES HAD TO CHANGE
AND I ACCEPT IT
THE PAST STAYS THE PAST
BUT DON'T TELL ME TO FORGET
REMEMBER YOU BELIEVED AS STRONG AS ME
I LOOK AHEAD AS TO WHAT'S TO COME
AND I'M HAPPY TO SAY I'M EXCITED
YOU TURN AWAY LIKE IT'S THE END OF A BOOK
WELL I TELL YOU I'M GONNA REWRITE IT
''cause THERE'S A YOUNGER KID
AND HE'S JUST LIKE ME
AND FOR HIM I'M GONNA FIGHT IT
AND GIVE HIM EVERY CHANCE
THAT WAS GIVEN TO ME
AND MAKE SURE HE'S NEVER SILENCED
CHORUS:
YOU-LET-ME-DOWN
I'M HOLDING ON
THINKING BACK WHEN WE WERE FRIENDS
HOW I THOUGHT IT COULD NEVER END
HANDSHAKES AND SMILES WHENEVER WE MET
WHAT WE SHARED I KNOW I'LL NEVER FORGET
I KNEW OUR PATHS WERE SPLITTING
WE NEEDED DIFFERENT THINGS TO GET BY
WHEN YOU WERE THROWING OUR NAMES AROUND
WERE WE SUPPOSED TO LET IT KEEP US DOWN?
NOW I'VE HAD FRIENDS THEY PASSED LIKE THE BREEZE
AND MORE THAN ONCE IT TOOK ME TO MY KNEES
AND WHEN THAT FEELING BEGAN TO GROW
IT TURNED TO SOMETHING YOU DIDN'T WANT TO KNOW
I DON'T WANT TO KNOW, I DON'T GIVE A FUCK
WHY YOU DECIDED TO COME DOWN ON US
WE'LL JUST KEEP THE MEMORIES WE HAVE
SO DON'T GET MAD IF I DON'T LET IT HOLD ME BACK
CAN'T HOLD ME BACK
YOU'LL TRY TO TEMPT ME
DRAW ME OFF MY PATH
GOD KNOWS I WANT TO USE MY HANDS
BUT I CAN'T GET CAUGHT UP IN THAT
BECAUSE I'VE SEEN IT BEFORE
FISTS THROWN OVER WORDS
AND I FOUGHT BEFORE
AND IT NEVER CHANGED A THING
I USED TO THINK THE DAY WOULD NEVER COME
IT'S ON MY HEELS AND I'M RUNNING ON MY OWN
CAREREE DAYS, MAN I NEVER KNEW
THEY COULD CATCH ME AND STICK TO ME LIKE GLUE
IT WAS SO FUNNY, REMEMBER HOW WE LAUGHED
GROWING COLD, I CAN?T GET AWAY FROM THE PAST
IT GOES RIGHT FOR MY THROAT
IT CRUSHES ME, BUT I WON'T LET IT SHOW
IF I DO, YOU MIGHT SEE THAT I'M SCARED
I WANT TO RUN, BUT I JUST DON'T KNOW WHERE
ONCE AGAIN MY FISTS HIDE MY FEAR
EACH BLOW IS FOLLOWED BY A TEAR
IT WAS SO FUNNY, REMEMBER HOW WE LAUGHED
GROWING COLD, I CAN'T GET AWAY FROM THE PAST!
I CAN'T GET AWAY FROM ThE PAST!
CAN YOU HEAR ME? HEAR WHEN I SCREAM
YOU HEAR MY WORDS, BUT DO YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN?
I'M TIRED, OF THE GAMES WE PLAY
I'M THROUGH FIGHTING, YOU'LL NEVER KNOW
WHAT I WANTED TO SAY
NOTHING ON YOUR MIND
YOUR HEAD'S HANGING LOW
MELTING INTO THE CROWD
AND TAKING IT SLOW
YOU'RE A LITTLE JUMPY
YOU SEEM A LITTLE TENSE
YOU'RE NOT OUTSPOKEN
SO YOU DON?T WANT TO PRETEND
THE UNFAMILIAR FACES
WE?VE SEEN THEM BEFORE
YOU WANT TO BE THE TOUGHEST
BUT WHAT THE FUCK FOR?
STARING AT THE GROEND
WATCHING YOUR BACK
SO MANY NEW FACES
BUT NO EYE CONTACT
SAME FUCKING SCENE
YOU'VE BEEN HANGING FOR YEARS
BUT WITH THESE NEW KIDS
YOU'RE NOT COMING OFF LIKE A PEER
THE UNFAMILIAR FACES
YOU'VE SEEN THEM BEFORE
YOU WANT TO BE THE TOUGHEST
WHAT FOR?
YOU'RE JUST AFRAID OF WHAT?S AHEAD
A SET OF STANDARDS, YOU WON'T MEASURE UP
INTIMIDATION, THEY COULD'VE BEEN SINCERE
INTIMIDATION FROM ANOTHER ONE OF OUR PEERS
GIVE IT UP
Midnight on the way,
alone with my thoughts
Tomorrow`s gonna fade from today
There`s something here pushing me
and I just can`t get it straight
My days keep rearranging
and I can`t keep up with the change
Now comes the sun
Burns off the fog out of my head
but there`s something wrong
Something`s wrong - can`t make it right
Want to forget this time
Something`s wrong - can`t make it right
Want to forget this time
Went to the man, said it`s o.k.
Pay me the money, get on your way
You know he don`t know It feels dark
I feel alone with these thoughts
Looking through the wrong end
and I feel that way again
I've been down that road, and I won't go again
It took its toll on me and all my friends
Now I'm tired of settling for less and playing the fool
Keep it away, I'm trying to keep my cool
AND I'M FED UP - FED UP
You say I'm not cool, because I'm choosing my friends
I won't have that shit around me ever again
I'm denying some rights, so you'd better keep it clear
Because you step on mine whenever you are near
AND I'M FED UP - FED UP
Smoking that butt, it makes you mature
A slave to sex, and you tell me you're pure
You slam that beer, it makes you a man
I'll try to keep my cool, but you better understand
I SEE YOU ON THE STREETS
YOU HIDE IN YOUR PACKS
YOU PUSH AND PUSH
AND NO ONE PUSHES BACK
IT'S TIME YOU OWN UP
TO THE THINGS YOU SAY
'CUZ JUDGE IS ON THE MOVE
AND WE'RE STARTING TODAY
CHORUS
I'M BRINGIN' IT DOWN
THIS HAMMER I'VE GOT
THIS IGNORANCE HAS GOT TO BE STOPPED
YOU WANT TO DISCRIMINATE
AND SHOW YOUR STUPIDITY
AGAINST PEOPLE WHO ARE EQUAL
TO YOU AND ME
IF YOU WANT A GREAT NATION
THEN WE ALL MUST BE FREE
AND IF YOU WON'T WISE UP
CONSIDER JUDGE YOUR ENEMY
CHORUS
A BEER, A JOINT LIKE A GUN AT YOUR HEAD
THE PRICE THAT YOU PAY IS THE BLOOD THAT YOU BLED
THE NEEDLE, THE TRACK MARK, YOU'RE SCARRED FOR LIFE
YOU'RE WEAK AND YOU'RE HURT,
AND YOU'RE GONNA LOSE THIS FIGHT
BECAUSE YOU DRINK IT AND YOU SMOKE IT
AND YOU SAY YOU FEEL FINE
AND YOU SNORT IT AND YOU SHOOT IT
AND NOW IT'S MELTED YOUR MIND
I'M BRINGIN' IT DOWN, THIS HAMMER I'VE GOT
THIS IGNORANCE HAS GOT TO BE STOPPED
I'M BRINGIN' IT DOWN, THE HAMMER'S ME AND YOU
STAY OFF THE TRACKS 'CUZ JUDGE IS COMING THROUGH
