Dans un truculent monologue, Zinn ressuscite Marx, qui obtient -- non sans mal ni protestation -- des instances du Ciel, l'autorisation de redescendre sur terre. Ok, tu peux y aller. Tu as environ une heure pour dire ce que tu as à dire. Mais rappelle-toi : pas d'agitation!
Marx, revisité et romancé par Zinn, se raconte : sa famille, ses amis, l'exil, le quotidien à Soho, l'engagement, la radicalité, la genèse et la maturation du Capital, qui apparaît dans ce texte avant tout comme l'oeuvre d'un homme de chair et de sang. Marx, un homme, tantôt autoritaire et tyrannique, tantôt en proie à ses propres contradictions et doutes, un homme dont la pensée et les théories sont profondément enracinées dans son expérience (et son observation) du monde, un homme qui a aussi été extraordinairement actif comme révolutionnaire.
«D'abord en Allemagne comme journaliste rebelle, puis avec les associations de travailleurs à Paris et la Ligue communiste à Bruxelles. Il avait également été actif en Rhénanie pendant la révolution de 1848, ce qui lui valut un procès et l'acquittement à l'issue d'une plaidoirie dramatique. A la suite de son exil à Londres, il prit une part active dans l'Association internationale des travailleurs, dans la cause irlandaise et, en 1871, il apporta son soutien à la Commune de Paris.»
Zinn prend délibérément des libertés avec la vérité historique pour nous offrir une dialectique dans laquelle Marx se soumet à des critiques fondamentales, au travers de confrontations imaginaires, avec sa femme Jenny, sa fille Eleanor ou encore Bakounine l'anarchiste.
Un texte éminemment politique.
Il s'agit en effet également pour Zinn de remettre les pendules à l'heure. Sachez-bien une chose : je ne suis pas marxiste.
«J'ai écrit cette pièce à une période où l'effondrement de l'Union soviétique provoquait dans les grands médias et chez les leaders politiques une jubilation quasi universelle : non seulement l'ennemi était mort, mais les idées du marxisme étaient discréditées. Le capitalisme et l'économie de marché avaient triomphé. Le marxisme avait perdu. Marx était vraiment mort. Je jugeai donc important de montrer clairement que ni l'URSS ni les autres pays qui, se disant marxistes, avaient installé des Etats policiers n'incarnaient la conception du socialisme de Marx. Je voulais montrer un Marx furieux que ses conceptions aient été déformées jusqu'à être identifiées aux cruautés staliniennes. Je pensais qu'il fallait sauver Marx non seulement de ces pseudo-communistes qui avaient installé un ordre répressif dans différents coins du monde, mais aussi de ces essayistes et de ces politiciens de l'Ouest qui s'extasiaient alors devant le triomphe du capitalisme.»
L'histoire du vingtième siècle, avec tout ce qu'elle comporte d'horreurs et de barbaries, il l'a observée depuis là-haut. Jean Del Val
Jean Del Val (17 November 1891 – 13 March 1975) was a French-born actor, also credited as Jean Gauthier and Jean Gautier.
He played roles during the Hollywood silent era, beginning with The Fortunes of Fifi in 1917. During the early days of talkies he served as a translator and vocal coach for French language versions of American-made films. The classic 1942 film Casablanca featured Jean in the limited role as an announcer for a French radio station. In 1966 he played a non-speaking role as the comatose scientist in the science fiction film Fantastic Voyage.
Del Val died at age 83 from a heart attack in Pacific Palisades, California. He is interred in the Holy Cross Cemetery, Culver City.

Clean Bandit
Clean Bandit is an English electronic group founded in Cambridge, England, in 2009. The group consists of Jack Patterson, Luke Patterson, Grace Chatto, and Neil Amin-Smith.
Their 2010 single "Mozart's House", released on Black Butter Records, reached number 17 on the UK Singles Chart. In January 2014, they scored their first UK Singles Chart-topping single with "Rather Be", a collaboration with Jess Glynne, featuring elements of both classical and dance music. "Rather Be" remained at the top of the chart for four weeks. In 2014, they achieved their first US Top 10 single with "Rather Be" peaking at number 10 on the Billboard Hot 100. The group had its largest performance in summer of 2015 in Baku, Azerbaijan, at the closing ceremony of 2015 European Games, which had over 68,000 attendances.
In 2015, "Rather Be" won the Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording.

2006–12: formation and career beginnings
Band members Jack Patterson, Grace Chatto, and Neil Amin-Smith met while studying as undergraduates at Jesus College, University of Cambridge. At the time, Amin-Smith was leading a string quartet together with Chatto, who both attended Westminster School.

José Álvaro Osorio Balvin (born May 7, 1985), known artistically as J Balvin, is a Colombian reggaeton singer. Balvin was born in Medellín, the largest city of Antioquia and Colombia's second largest populated city, where he became interested in hip hop, dancehall, champeta and bachata at a young age. He is known for his songs "Yo te lo dije", "Tranquila", "Ay vamos", "6 AM" and "Ginza"
Success
J. Balvin began seeking his career at the young age of 17. When Balvin was 17, he moved to Oklahoma to learn English. After some difficulties, he quickly moved on to New York City to further his studies in English and in music. Over the next 10 years, J. Balvin worked very hard between the US and Colombia to develop his style and career. He quickly began to move around the urban scene in Medellin, Colombia, performing at many night clubs. In 2012, J. Balvin released his mixtape, which featured many of his early hits in Colombia, including "En Lo Oscuro" and "Como un Animal." Soon after, J. Balvin released his next single "Yo Te Lo Dije". In 2013, the track had created a considerable buzz in the USA, and put J. Balvin on many DJ and industry radars. His performance at the 2013 Premios Juventud was just the beginning to what was about to come.

Carly Rae Jepsen (born November 21, 1985) is a Canadian singer and songwriter from Mission, British Columbia, and later based in Vancouver. In 2007, she placed third in Canadian Idol season five's competition. Jepsen independently released her debut album, Tug of War, in 2008. In 2011, she released the single "Call Me Maybe", which was followed in 2012 by her debut EP, Curiosity, and her second album, Kiss. "Call Me Maybe" reached number one in 18 countries during 2012 and was the year's best-selling single worldwide. Jepsen's third album, Emotion, was released in 2015 with mostly positive reviews, and was heavily influenced by songs from the 1980s. Its lead single "I Really Like You" reached the top 5 in the United Kingdom, the top 10 in Japan, top 15 in Jepsen's native Canada, and top 40 in the United States.
Jepsen has received multiple awards and nominations, including three Juno Awards, a Billboard Music Award, and an Allan Slaight Award. As of May 2015, Jepsen has sold more 20 million records worldwide.

Nicky Jam
Nick Rivera Caminero (born March 17, 1981), known by his stage name Nicky Jam, is a singer and songwriter. He is best known for the hit "El Perdón".
Early life
Nicky Jam was born in Boston, Massachusetts to a Puerto Rican father and a Dominican mother, however he later moved with his family to Barrio Obrero in Puerto Rico when he was ten years old. He has been in reggaeton since his youth. The name "Nicky Jam" was jokingly given to Caminero by a homeless man. Caminero's family was low-income and as a minor he performed illegal work in a grocery store in order to help support them, in his free time improvising in front of his workplace. One day a music executive noticed his talent and signed him, and at the age of fourteen he recorded his first album "...Distinto A Los Demás". The album was not successful, but it did gain him recognition in the music industry, and warranted the attention of some music producers such as DJ Joe, DJ Playero and DJ Chiklin.

Marx, revisité et romancé par Zinn, se raconte : sa famille, ses amis, l'exil, le quotidien à Soho, l'engagement, la radicalité, la genèse et la maturation du Capital, qui apparaît dans ce texte avant tout comme l'oeuvre d'un homme de chair et de sang. Marx, un homme, tantôt autoritaire et tyrannique, tantôt en proie à ses propres contradictions et doutes, un homme dont la pensée et les théories sont profondément enracinées dans son expérience (et son observation) du monde, un homme qui a aussi été extraordinairement actif comme révolutionnaire.
«D'abord en Allemagne comme journaliste rebelle, puis avec les associations de travailleurs à Paris et la Ligue communiste à Bruxelles. Il avait également été actif en Rhénanie pendant la révolution de 1848, ce qui lui valut un procès et l'acquittement à l'issue d'une plaidoirie dramatique. A la suite de son exil à Londres, il prit une part active dans l'Association internationale des travailleurs, dans la cause irlandaise et, en 1871, il apporta son soutien à la Commune de Paris.»
Zinn prend délibérément des libertés avec la vérité historique pour nous offrir une dialectique dans laquelle Marx se soumet à des critiques fondamentales, au travers de confrontations imaginaires, avec sa femme Jenny, sa fille Eleanor ou encore Bakounine l'anarchiste.
Un texte éminemment politique.
Il s'agit en effet également pour Zinn de remettre les pendules à l'heure. Sachez-bien une chose : je ne suis pas marxiste.
«J'ai écrit cette pièce à une période où l'effondrement de l'Union soviétique provoquait dans les grands médias et chez les leaders politiques une jubilation quasi universelle : non seulement l'ennemi était mort, mais les idées du marxisme étaient discréditées. Le capitalisme et l'économie de marché avaient triomphé. Le marxisme avait perdu. Marx était vraiment mort. Je jugeai donc important de montrer clairement que ni l'URSS ni les autres pays qui, se disant marxistes, avaient installé des Etats policiers n'incarnaient la conception du socialisme de Marx. Je voulais montrer un Marx furieux que ses conceptions aient été déformées jusqu'à être identifiées aux cruautés staliniennes. Je pensais qu'il fallait sauver Marx non seulement de ces pseudo-communistes qui avaient installé un ordre répressif dans différents coins du monde, mais aussi de ces essayistes et de ces politiciens de l'Ouest qui s'extasiaient alors devant le triomphe du capitalisme.»
L'histoire du vingtième siècle, avec tout ce qu'elle comporte d'horreurs et de barbaries, il l'a observée depuis là-haut. Les journaux aussi, il les a lus.Ils proclament tous que mes idées sont mortes! Qu'y a-t-il de nouveau à ça? Rien! Ces clowns le répètent depuis plus d'un siècle! Vous ne vous êtes jamais demandé pourquoi il était nécessaire de me déclarer mort, encore et encore?

«D'abord en Allemagne comme journaliste rebelle, puis avec les associations de travailleurs à Paris et la Ligue communiste à Bruxelles. Il avait également été actif en Rhénanie pendant la révolution de 1848, ce qui lui valut un procès et l'acquittement à l'issue d'une plaidoirie dramatique. A la suite de son exil à Londres, il prit une part active dans l'Association internationale des travailleurs, dans la cause irlandaise et, en 1871, il apporta son soutien à la Commune de Paris.»
Zinn prend délibérément des libertés avec la vérité historique pour nous offrir une dialectique dans laquelle Marx se soumet à des critiques fondamentales, au travers de confrontations imaginaires, avec sa femme Jenny, sa fille Eleanor ou encore Bakounine l'anarchiste.
Un texte éminemment politique.
Il s'agit en effet également pour Zinn de remettre les pendules à l'heure. Sachez-bien une chose : je ne suis pas marxiste.
«J'ai écrit cette pièce à une période où l'effondrement de l'Union soviétique provoquait dans les grands médias et chez les leaders politiques une jubilation quasi universelle : non seulement l'ennemi était mort, mais les idées du marxisme étaient discréditées. Le capitalisme et l'économie de marché avaient triomphé. Le marxisme avait perdu. Marx était vraiment mort. Je jugeai donc important de montrer clairement que ni l'URSS ni les autres pays qui, se disant marxistes, avaient installé des Etats policiers n'incarnaient la conception du socialisme de Marx. Je voulais montrer un Marx furieux que ses conceptions aient été déformées jusqu'à être identifiées aux cruautés staliniennes. Je pensais qu'il fallait sauver Marx non seulement de ces pseudo-communistes qui avaient installé un ordre répressif dans différents coins du monde, mais aussi de ces essayistes et de ces politiciens de l'Ouest qui s'extasiaient alors devant le triomphe du capitalisme.»
L'histoire du vingtième siècle, avec tout ce qu'elle comporte d'horreurs et de barbaries, il l'a observée depuis là-haut. Les journaux aussi, il les a lus.Ils proclament tous que mes idées sont mortes! Qu'y a-t-il de nouveau à ça? Rien! Ces clowns le répètent depuis plus d'un siècle! Vous ne vous êtes jamais demandé pourquoi il était nécessaire de me déclarer mort, encore et encore?
«J'ai voulu montrer que la critique marxiste du capitalisme reste fondamentalement vraie.»

«J'ai écrit cette pièce à une période où l'effondrement de l'Union soviétique provoquait dans les grands médias et chez les leaders politiques une jubilation quasi universelle : non seulement l'ennemi était mort, mais les idées du marxisme étaient discréditées. Le capitalisme et l'économie de marché avaient triomphé. Le marxisme avait perdu. Marx était vraiment mort. Je jugeai donc important de montrer clairement que ni l'URSS ni les autres pays qui, se disant marxistes, avaient installé des Etats policiers n'incarnaient la conception du socialisme de Marx. Je voulais montrer un Marx furieux que ses conceptions aient été déformées jusqu'à être identifiées aux cruautés staliniennes. Je pensais qu'il fallait sauver Marx non seulement de ces pseudo-communistes qui avaient installé un ordre répressif dans différents coins du monde, mais aussi de ces essayistes et de ces politiciens de l'Ouest qui s'extasiaient alors devant le triomphe du capitalisme.»

The movie was written by Robert L. Joseph, Lupino, and her husband Collier Young, based on a story by blacklisted Out of the Past screenwriter Daniel Mainwaring (who did not receive screen credit). The film is based on the true story of psychopathic murderer Billy Cook.
It is regarded as the first American mainstream film noir directed by a woman. The director of photography was RKO Pictures regular Nicholas Musuraca.
In 1998, The Hitch-Hiker was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry as being "culturally, historically or aesthetically significant." In January 2014, a restored 35mm print will be premiered by the Film Noir Foundation at Noir City 12 at the Castro Theatre in San Francisco.

In California in 1950, Billy Cook murdered a family of five and a traveling salesman, then kidnapped Deputy Sheriff Homer Waldrip from Blythe, California and ordered him to drive into the desert where he tied Deputy Waldrip up with blanket strips and took his police cruiser, leaving Waldrip to die.
Waldrip got loose, however, walked to the main road and was picked up and taken back to Blythe. Cook was tried, convicted and sentenced to the gas chamber. On December 12, 1952, Cook was executed in the gas chamber at San Quentin Prison in California.

Thénardier, in disguise, meets Marius and proves to him with the help of newspaper clippings that he is completely mistaken about Valjean's criminal past.

Of the many film adaptations of the novel, this has been called "the one most popular with audiences in postwar France". One noteworthy plot change was made to accommodate the fact that the actors playing the roles of Valjean and Javert were far apart in age, rather than near contemporaries as in the novel. Instead of Javert recognizing Valjean as a convict he had often guarded years earlier, he remembers how, when he was just a boy, his prison guard father had pointed out this man as "the worst kind of prisoner, who tried to escape four times".

The New York Times described it as one of the first French "blockbusters" that appeared in response to such lengthy feature films as Around the World in 80 Days and The Ten Commandments. It said it was "a ponderous four-hour retelling of Victor Hugo's oft-filmed epic.... Not a page is skipped... Too literary, it has the saving grace of Jean Gabin's truly heroic depiction of Jean Valjean plus some stirring scenes on the barricades." It was a "quintessential Gabin role ... that of a loner, an outsider, usually a member of the lower orders who may flirt with love and happiness but knows they are not for him".
The film did not premiere in New York until July 1989, when it ran to coincide with the celebration of the bicentennial of the French Revolution.

A la suite de son exil à Londres, il prit une part active dans l'Association internationale des travailleurs, dans la cause irlandaise et, en 1871, il apporta son soutien à la Commune de Paris.»
Zinn prend délibérément des libertés avec la vérité historique pour nous offrir une dialectique dans laquelle Marx se soumet à des critiques fondamentales, au travers de confrontations imaginaires, avec sa femme Jenny, sa fille Eleanor ou encore Bakounine l'anarchiste.
Un texte éminemment politique.
Il s'agit en effet également pour Zinn de remettre les pendules à l'heure. Sachez-bien une chose : je ne suis pas marxiste.
«J'ai écrit cette pièce à une période où l'effondrement de l'Union soviétique provoquait dans les grands médias et chez les leaders politiques une jubilation quasi universelle : non seulement l'ennemi était mort, mais les idées du marxisme étaient discréditées. Le capitalisme et l'économie de marché avaient triomphé. Le marxisme avait perdu. Marx était vraiment mort. Je jugeai donc important de montrer clairement que ni l'URSS ni les autres pays qui, se disant marxistes, avaient installé des Etats policiers n'incarnaient la conception du socialisme de Marx. Je voulais montrer un Marx furieux que ses conceptions aient été déformées jusqu'à être identifiées aux cruautés staliniennes. Je pensais qu'il fallait sauver Marx non seulement de ces pseudo-communistes qui avaient installé un ordre répressif dans différents coins du monde, mais aussi de ces essayistes et de ces politiciens de l'Ouest qui s'extasiaient alors devant le triomphe du capitalisme.»
L'histoire du vingtième siècle, avec tout ce qu'elle comporte d'horreurs et de barbaries, il l'a observée depuis là-haut. Dans un truculent monologue, Zinn ressuscite Marx, qui obtient -- non sans mal ni protestation -- des instances du Ciel, l'autorisation de redescendre sur terre. Ok, tu peux y aller. Tu as environ une heure pour dire ce que tu as à dire. Mais rappelle-toi : pas d'agitation!
Marx, revisité et romancé par Zinn, se raconte : sa famille, ses amis, l'exil, le quotidien à Soho, l'engagement, la radicalité, la genèse et la maturation du Capital, qui apparaît dans ce texte avant tout comme l'oeuvre d'un homme de chair et de sang. Marx, un homme, tantôt autoritaire et tyrannique, tantôt en proie à ses propres contradictions et doutes, un homme dont la pensée et les théories sont profondément enracinées dans son expérience (et son observation) du monde, un homme qui a aussi été extraordinairement actif comme révolutionnaire.
«D'abord en Allemagne comme journaliste rebelle, puis avec les associations de travailleurs à Paris et la Ligue communiste à Bruxelles. Il avait également été actif en Rhénanie pendant la révolution de 1848, ce qui lui valut un procès et l'acquittement à l'issue d'une plaidoirie dramatique. A la suite de son exil à Londres, il prit une part active dans l'Association internationale des travailleurs, dans la cause irlandaise et, en 1871, il apporta son soutien à la Commune de Paris.»
Zinn prend délibérément des libertés avec la vérité historique pour nous offrir une dialectique dans laquelle Marx se soumet à des critiques fondamentales, au travers de confrontations imaginaires, avec sa femme Jenny, sa fille Eleanor ou encore Bakounine l'anarchiste.
Un texte éminemment politique.
Il s'agit en effet également pour Zinn de remettre les pendules à l'heure. Sachez-bien une chose : je ne suis pas marxiste.
«J'ai écrit cette pièce à une période où l'effondrement de l'Union soviétique provoquait dans les grands médias et chez les leaders politiques une jubilation quasi universelle : non seulement l'ennemi était mort, mais les idées du marxisme étaient discréditées. Le capitalisme et l'économie de marché avaient triomphé. Le marxisme avait perdu. Marx était vraiment mort. Je jugeai donc important de montrer clairement que ni l'URSS ni les autres pays qui, se disant marxistes, avaient installé des Etats policiers n'incarnaient la conception du socialisme de Marx. Je voulais montrer un Marx furieux que ses conceptions aient été déformées jusqu'à être identifiées aux cruautés staliniennes. Je pensais qu'il fallait sauver Marx non seulement de ces pseudo-communistes qui avaient installé un ordre répressif dans différents coins du monde, mais aussi de ces essayistes et de ces politiciens de l'Ouest qui s'extasiaient alors devant le triomphe du capitalisme.»
L'histoire du vingtième siècle, avec tout ce qu'elle comporte d'horreurs et de barbaries, il l'a observée depuis là-haut. Les journaux aussi, il les a lus.Ils proclament tous que mes idées sont mortes! Qu'y a-t-il de nouveau à ça? Rien! Ces clowns le répètent depuis plus d'un siècle! Vous ne vous êtes jamais demandé pourquoi il était nécessaire de me déclarer mort, encore et encore?
«J'ai voulu montrer que la critique marxiste du capitalisme reste fondamentalement vraie.»
Quoi? Le capitalisme d'aujourd'hui serait plus humain que de mon temps? Vraiment?

This story is untrue for this "Casino Royale" telemovie. This is actually a common TV Goof Legend and has mistakenly been associated with this production. It actually happened in an earlier episode of the Climax! TV Series based on Ian Fleming's friend Raymond Chandler's classic story Climax!: The Long Goodbye. The mistaken actor was Tristram Coffin.

CERN & Mandela Effect related? Some say so. Watch "Casino Royale" - Episode aired 21 October 1954-Climax! (TV Series). Plot Summary: American Combined Intelligence Agency spy James Bond aka Jimmy Bond arrives at the Casino Royale in Monte Carlo, Monaco but is shot at whilst entering. He meets up with British Secret Service secret agent Clarence Leiter (this character was called Felix Leiter in the original Ian Fleming novel). He briefs Bond about his mission then Bond runs into old flame Valerie Mathis (she is an amalgam of the Vesper Lynd and Rene Mathis characters from the novel). She introduces him to Le Chiffre who is the Chief Soviet Agent in the area and is nearly always accompanied by three henchman called Basil, Zoltan and Zuroff. Waldrip got loose, however, walked to the main road, and got a ride back to Blythe. Cook was tried, convicted, and received the death penalty. On December 12, 1952, Cook was executed in the gas chamber at San Quentin State Prison in California."
