Paul Dunlap (July 19, 1919 – March 11, 2010) was American composer.
Born Paul A. Dunlap, he wrote the scores for as more than 200 films and television programs. These included several Three Stooges feature films, including The Three Stooges Meet Hercules, The Three Stooges in Orbit, The Three Stooges Go Around the World in a Daze and The Outlaws Is Coming. Dunlap also scored the last Abbott and Costello film Dance With Me, Henry as well.
Dunlap is also known for his eclectic scores for numerous genre-films including I Was a Teenage Werewolf, I Was a Teenage Frankenstein, Blood of Dracula, The Angry Red Planet and Invisible Invaders, as well as his scores for the controversial Samuel Fuller films Shock Corridor and The Naked Kiss.
Dunlap died on March 11, 2010 in Palm Springs, California.

Dunlap may refer to:
Theme music is a piece that is often written specifically for a radio program, television program, video game or movie, and usually played during the intro, during title sequence and/or ending credits.
The phrase theme song or signature tune may also be used to refer to a signature song that has become especially associated with a particular performer or dignitary; often used as they make an entrance. The purpose of a theme song is often similar to that of a leitmotif. Such songs can also be used in other ways. One author has made extensive use of them in an effort to explore the feelings behind world views.
The purpose of the music is to establish a mood for the show and to provide an audible cue that a particular show is beginning, which was especially useful in the early days of radio (See also interval signal). In some cases, including The Brady Bunch, Gilligan's Island, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, both versions of Land of the Lost (1974 and 1991), The Nanny and The Beverly Hillbillies the lyrics of the theme song provide some necessary exposition for people unfamiliar with the show.
Castle of Evil is a 1966 American horror film directed by Francis D. Lyon and written by Charles A. Wallace. The film stars Scott Brady, Virginia Mayo, David Brian, Lisa Gaye, Hugh Marlowe and William Thourlby. The film was released by World Entertainment Corp. in November 1966.
Film composer Paul Dunlap recently passed on at age 90 after a long illness, and I put together this little tribute to Paul and a few of the films he scored. Check his bio at www.imdb.com for complete filmography. Paul provided the music for dozens of classic and not so classic horror and scifi films of my youth, and we had become good phone friends the last decade. None of Paul's music has been released on CD, and most of it is lost. Part 2 of this tribute will follow soon.
the continuation of my tribute to film score composer Paul Dunlap, who left us recently at the age of 90 after a long Hollywood career. Paul scored all sorts of films...westerns, dramas, war films, TV shows, and of course scifi and horror (which he really didn't enjoy)...and even The Three Stooges movies. I spoke with Paul many times on the phone and he was a lovely gentleman always ready to discuss music of any kind, and very appreciative of his fans. Godspeed, Paul. Capitol 4293. Paul Dunlap was hardly a household name. Few composers were, aside from obviously marketable entities like Henry Mancini, Quincy Jones or Bernard Herrmann. He was a professional, though, and despite the constant pressure of limited resources and preparation time his use of stark moods, dissonance and jazz elements elevated the low-budget productions they scored. The innovative electronic effects of 1959's Invisible Invaders and the beatsploitation jazz of 1959's The Rebel Set come to mind here. As does this selection, also from 1959. Full of gritty angst, the arrangement on "Lili's Theme from 'The Rookie'" is quite inspired, a dramatic swirl of strings, organ and electric guitar that evokes the crime jazz aesthetic while avoiding some of its more formulaic motifs. A followup to I Was A Teenage Werewolf and Teenage Frankenstein; this is about actors playing these monsters, hypnotized by their makeup artist to carry out his murderous revenge on the studio execs. Though Michael Landon does appear in this movie through stock footage, he is replaced by another actor here. Paul Dunlap delivers a great score as usual. Enjoy.

In this lecture Shimer College Prof. Aron Dunlap presents the elements of the basic psychic map developed by the French psychoanalyst and Freudian Jacques Lacan. Lacan called this map a Borromean knot, because of its three interlocking rings--the registers of the Symbolic, Imaginary and Real--which he represented by an image reminiscent of the coat of arms of the Italian Borromeo family. In many ways Lacan's Borromean knot is centered around the disabling fact of death, represented in the objet petit a, but a later conception of Lacan, that of the sinthome, allows a more redemptive portrayal of human psychic destiny. Professor Dunlap illuminates these concepts through a discussion of Hans Holbein's The Ambassadors, a painting which powerfully conveys the glories of Renaissance learning, th...

Public Lecture by Dr. Aron Dunlap, Asst. Prof. of the Liberal Arts at Shimer College, delivered at the Seminary Co-op Bookstore ----- Description: In the years following WWII there seemed to be a general consensus among intellectuals in the West that if there was a pathological underbelly to any psychological health we might presume to own, it was anxiety. This was, they agreed, the Age of Anxiety, which was the title of a long poem by W.H. Auden that functioned as the inspiration for Leonard Bernstein’s 2nd symphony. The phrase made its way into common parlance and we see it forming the nucleus of concern in theologian Paul Tillich’s tremendously popular work, The Courage to Be. In this work, Tillich agreed with existentialists such as Sartre that, while fear has an object, the problem wi...

Xen is a mature enterprise-grade virtual machine with many advanced security features which are unique to Xen. For this reason it_s the hypervisor of choice for the NSA, the DoD, and the new QubesOS Secure Desktop project. In this work, Tillich agreed with existentialists such as Sartre that, while fear has an object, the problem wi...
