Nevada (i/nəˈvædə/ or /nəˈvɒdə/) is a state in the western, mountain west, and southwestern regions of the United States. Nevada is the 7th most extensive, the 35th most populous, and the 9th least densely populated of the 50 United States. Over two-thirds of Nevada's people live in one single county, Clark County, which contains the Las Vegas–Paradise metropolitan area, where the state's three largest incorporated cities are located. Nevada's capital is Carson City.
Nevada is largely desert and semiarid, with much of it located within the Great Basin. Areas south of the Great Basin are located within the Mojave Desert, while Lake Tahoe and the Sierra Nevada mountains lie on the western edge. Approximately 86% of the state's land is owned by the US government under various jurisdictions, both civilian and military.
The name Nevada is derived from the nearby Sierra Nevada mountains, which means "snow-capped mountain range" in Spanish. The land comprising the modern state was inhabited by Native Americans of the Paiute, Shoshone, and Washoe tribes prior to European contact. It was subsequently claimed by Spain as a part of Alta California until the Mexican War of Independence brought it under Mexican control. The United States gained the territory in 1848 following its victory in the Mexican-American War and the area was eventually incorporated as part of Utah Territory in 1850. The discovery of silver at the Comstock Lode in 1859 led to a population boom that was an impetus to the creation of Nevada Territory out of western Utah Territory in 1861. Nevada became the 36th state on October 31, 1864.
Plot
The series is a comedy that follows the misadventures of Gwen Morgan, a 35-year-old actress living in Los Angeles. The woman is a walking contradiction--she's intelligent, but naive (especially when it comes men) and she's a loyal friend, but can be self-centered and oblivious. Maggie and Martin are Gwen's twenty-something best friends. Both are geeks and sci-fi fans who can't go a day without making a reference to Star Wars, Star Trek, Alien, etc. Since Gwen is a child of the 80's and seriously challenged when it comes to all things hip, the two have to work hard to keep her in the 21st century. Gwen is a magnet for drama, so they also do their best to keep her out of trouble. Recurring characters include Alistair McCrackin, a loud, irritable Scotsman. He's a genius with a weakness for women and always broke because of it. Not to be left out is an unnamed, ill-mannered video store clerk who turns out to be quite ubiquitous. He's the loser with ten dead-end jobs and he's everywhere. In the pilot episode, Gwen's 10-year acting career is still going nowhere and her personal life is no better. This is the day her life finally falls apart. The low-budget horror script (starring herself of course) that she's been working on since she moved to Los Angeles is suddenly gone and her hottie part-time bartender boyfriend just dumped her. Luckily, Gwen's two great friends, Maggie and Martin, stick by her side and help her in the quest to find her script, her boyfriend and herself.

You know outside you'll find a beautiful world
and using your hands
to find a brand new world fortune
you let change me
in my eyes you can't see the day
like a sun I don't wanna you .... up
comes the night and you hold me in strange
kind of to love
it feels like heaven
it feels like heaven in your arms
nothing will be better
it feels like heaven
it feels like heaven in your arms
nothing will be better
it feels like heaven
it feels like heaven in your arms
nothing will be better
And now I'm sitting here just wasting my time
the picture in my mind that you will always live in my dreams
to my reality
in my eyes you can't see the day
like a sun I don't wanna in you up
comes the night and you hold me strange
kind of to love
it feels like heaven
it feels like heaven in your arms
In the bleak midwinter
Frosty wind made moan
Earth stood hard as iron
Water like a stone
Snow had fallen snow on snow
Snow on snow
In the bleak midwinter
So long ago
What I give him
Poor as I am
If I were a shepherd
I would bring a lamb
If I were a wise man
I would do my part
Yet what can I give him
Give my heart
In the bleak midwinter
Frosty wind made moan
Earth stood hard as iron
Water like a stone
Snow had fallen snow snow
Snow on snow
In the bleak midwinter
Champagne cocktails after three
Cafe Royale's the place for me
Penguin waiters chandeliers
All that glitters
Here inside my head my inside
Only once in a lifetime
It only happens once in a lifetime
Make the most of it
Don't play around with it
Only once in a lifetime
Take my hand you silver spoon
We can dance around the room
Angelo bring more wine
My friend and I
We wish to dine
Inside my head my inside
[Chorus:]
Only once in a lifetime
It only happens once in a lifetime
Make the most of it
Don't play around with it
Only once in a lifetime
Only once in a lifetime
It only happens only once
Only once in a lifetime
There's many a place I haven't been
Declined an offer from the Queen
Refused admission (you can't come in here mate)
On the door
It's still that Cafe Royale
That scores inside my head my inside
[Chorus]
Only once in a lifetime
Only once in a lifetime
Only once in a lifetime
Only once in a lifetime
Only once in a lifetime
Should you always be a mystery
I'd be lost in daydreams constantly
Out of reach, strung out like yesterday
Close your eyes and watch me drift away.
Somewhere in between the speeding cars
I was born beneath a shooting star
In the morning sun they sold me
Electric hours of fun needlessly
Promise me, promise me
You'll never wait for me
There in the vacant light
Don't say a prayer for me
Tell them I've got somewhere I have to go
That I wished on a star
I'll be back by the end of the show
Should you ever drift into the parade
I'll be the first in line to be saved
And after all know one really knows this desert wind
Or which way it blows
Come out tonight and realise
Here upon my restless sunken eyes
We can sleep till night comes calling
And stop this sky of lights from falling in
Take me to heaven
I just wanna give you love
I just gotta give you all my love
So keep me in heaven
Baby take me by the hand
Like an angel by my side
Take me to heaven
I just wanna give you love
I just gotta give you all my love
So keep me in heaven
Baby take me by the hand
Like an angel walking by my side
Just bring me to heaven
I just wanna give you love
I just gotta give you all my love
So keep me in heaven
Baby take me by the hand
Like an angel by my side
Oh oh oh oh oh
It must be heaven now
Oh oh oh oh oh
Take me to heaven now
Oh oh oh oh oh
The heaven must be there
Oh oh oh oh oh
It must be heaven now
On and on, another dimension
Choose me up, no protection
Understand, yeah, free your mind
Can't get you out, get you out of my mind
Keep it going, never gonna stop
Dream is fine, dream is hot
Heaven is the place we are gonna be
Dream a dream, come follow me
Take me to heaven
I just wanna give you love
I just gotta give you all my love
So keep me in heaven
Baby take me by the hand
Like an angel walking by my side
Just bring me to heaven
I just wanna give you love
I just gotta give you all my love
So keep me in heaven
Baby take me by the hand
Like an angel by my side
Oh oh oh oh oh
It must be heaven now
Oh oh oh oh oh
Take me to heaven now
Oh oh oh oh oh
The heaven must be there
Oh oh oh oh oh
Put on that suit
and lend me that costume
Put on that suit
get in my car
If we set off now
we'll be there by daybreak
Fifteen hours
and we'll be there
Full fire moon
as our guide
I promised I would
I promised I'd take you
Here I am
with my honor
See you about
See you about
Oh, my love, our Nevada
See you about
See you about
Oh, my love, our Nevada
So put on that suit
and lend me that costume
Let's go home
a little different
Put on that suit
and get in my car
That look in your eye
The touch of your hand
Oooh you know I like it
Hot summer nights
Oooh the warmth of your kiss
And you know I like it
Ooo-oooh you do something to me
Take me hold me la-la-la-love me
Touch me ooo-oooh every little thing I want you
Love me tonight
Hold me tight
Oooh you know I like it
The things that you do
I've got to have you
And you know I like it
Ooo-oooh you do something to me
Take me hold me la-la-la-love me
Touch me ooo-ooh every little thing I want you
Ooo-ooh you do something to me
Ooo-ooh you do something to me
Ooo-ooh you do something to me
Take me hold me la-la-la-love me
Touch me ooo-ooh every little thing I want you
Touch me ooo-ooh every little thing I want you
Let's say the words
I want to hear
And you know I like it
Hot summer nights
Ooo-ooo-ooo-ooh you know I like it
The warmth of your kiss
Ooo-ooo-ooo-ooh you know I like it
Ooo-ooo-ooo-ooh oh you know I like it

We lived a dream by a cool mountain stream in Nevada
Millions of stars were exclusively ours that night.
You were a part of my heart in the heart of Nevada
Two lips devine were exclusively mine that night.
There on a hilltop with nothing but heaven around us
We lost ourselves in a heavenly moonbeam till sunrise found us.
We fell in love oh so madly in love in Nevada
We lived a dream by a cool mountain stream that night.
From: "Clint Gorman"
Stare at the sun, howl at the moon
Oh, i've come so far
I'm coming for you
Each lonesome night, i've seen this light
That no valley, no river can hide
I thought so hard, this is the way
Oh, maybe you're making a fool out of me
Why should i care, i heard you say
"you can't wander without love beside you"
It's hard to detach or leave things behind
Oh, look at me, baby, i'm losin my mind
Maybe i'm wrong, maybe you'll stay
Oh, stay here to wander beside me
Those in the know(?), whose colours are true
It's just 60 more miles and baby, i love you
And i'd spill my guts if i had your trust
Pictures in the fire
Reflections of myself
Take a look in the mirror
What do I see
A portrait of me
[Chorus:]
And the smoke curls up the chimney
Sending messages of love
But you're so far away
So far away
This cold wintry evening
I curl up by the fire
I wonder what you're doing
I know we agreed
To part for a while
[Chorus]
So here I am alone again
Pretending that you're with me
I can't so no/she can't say no
And I can't let go/and she can't let go
I thought he'd never leave me
Turning round I see you
I know it's tonight
It's just my heart deceiving
A trick of the light
And the smoke curls up the chimney
Sending messages of love
If only you were with me
Oooh oooh oooh oooh
Oooh oooh oooh oooh / oooh oooh oooh
Oooh oooh with me
And I can't say no ... she can't say no
And I can't let go ... and she can't let go
Pretending that you're with me
So here I am alone again
