Leahy is the name of a Canadian folk music group. The eight band members, all from the Leahy family of eleven siblings, are from Lakefield, Ontario and have been actively touring Canada and internationally since the early 1980s when they were known as The Leahy Family. In 1985, they were the subject of a short film entitled Leahy: Music Most of All which received an Academy Award in the category of "Best Foreign Student Film".
The line-up of the group varies depending upon the availability of its members who come and go due to marriage, raising children, and other commitments. During the 1980s and early 1990s, the band recorded a number of privately-released LPs and cassettes (most of which used the same title, The Leahy Family) which were sold at their concerts and they were frequent guests at the Big Valley Jamboree concerts in Saskatchewan and Alberta.
In 1997 the band resumed recording with their "relaunch" album, Leahy which also introduced the group's new branding. Leahy was an instrumental album, but the band also includes vocal performances in their live performances and subsequent albums have included both vocals and instrumentals.

The Valiant Story of the Daring Young Men Who Put a Nation's Enemies on the Spot ! (original poster)
Chorus
A love never known
Has come to call me home
And I say I do
I follow you
Something from my heart
Has stirred my soul
And I can't ignore this feeling
Any more
And you say
"Don't you worry
I will see you through
Cause you belong to me
And I to you"
Chorus
Something from my eyes
I can't erase
And the tears keep falling
Down upon my face
You wiped away my sorrow and my sin
When you gave your blood for me to live
Chorus
I've always known
That there's been someone looking out for me
And now I know your name
Lord from you I came
Come and sit here by my side
For our time will soon be gone
And these tears I cannot hide
For it's your turn to move on
I know you were never really mine
You were given to me
On borrowed time
Now I shall stay here on my own
For I know you've been
Called home
Chorus
Turn out the light
And let me love you
One more night
Hold me tight
Oh baby
Tell me everything
Is gonna be alright
Now I know I must be strong
For what else can I do
Won't be easy to go on
For I must learn to live
Without you
I know that life cannot be bought
And there's nothing I should fear
For you'll go no further than God
And God is very near
Turn out the light
And let me love you
One more night
Hold me tight
Oh baby
Tell me everything
Is gonna be alright
Is gonna be alright
Now it's time to let go
It's just part of the plan
So many answers we don't know
But some day we'll understand
Someday
Turn out the light
And let me love you
One more night
Hold me tight
Oh baby
Tell me everything
Is gonna be
Alright
Turn out the light
And let me love you
One more night
Hold me tight
Oh baby
Tell me everything
I wanna tell you somethin'
About somethin' I found out
Had it all under control
There was nothin' to figure out
The road was there I took a left
I meant to take a right
Might never have known about it
Might never have known
All that I'd been missin' in my life
Chorus
When you go down that road
There's no turning back
And when you go down that road
It's plain to see that
From out of this bleeding world
There's nowhere else I'd rather go
Than down that road
Had all the things I thought I wanted
Then I wanted more
And in my mind this all was fine
No need to check the score
And then one day I lost it all
That's when I realized
Might never have known about it
Might never have known
All that I'd been missin' in my life
Chorus
I know that what I touch and see
Can't fill me up
So, if I want to wake this soul
It's about love
Oh when you go down that road
There's no turning back
And when you go down that road
It's plain to see that
From out of this bleeding world
There's nowhere else I'd rather
Go than down that
Oh down that road
Come with me down that road
Come with me down that road
Come with me down that road
Come with me down that
Road of love that fills my soul
So go
Oh little children, go and don't you be afraid
Chance the current and the loss
Or be borne away
Take back yourself
Take back the night
Take back today
In high places
Shining through
In all things
In everything we do
There's a reason
There's a place to come to
And when I find this peace
I'm trusting in you
Trusting in you
Ya, I lay my life down
I lift you up
I let you go
And I give you all
I lay my life down
I lift you up
I let you go
And I give you all
In high places
Shining through
In all things
In all things
When the battle comes
When the rain is pouring down
When darkness shadows the sun
What have we done
Where do we go from here
And over barriers we cross
Reaching for something lost
And from this we rise
To higher places
As in all things
In high places
Shining through
In all things
In everything we do
There's a reason
There's a place to come to
And when I find this peace
I'm trusting in you
Trusting in you
Ya, I lay my life down
I lift you up
I let you go
And I give you all
I lay my life down
I lift you up
I let you go
And I give you all
In high places
Shining through
In all things
In all things
When the battle comes
When the rain is pouring down
When darkness shadows the sun
What have we done
Where do we go from here
And over barriers we cross
Reaching for something lost
And from this we rise
To higher places
As in all things
We must go on
Chorus
