Charcoal is the dark grey residue consisting of carbon, and any remaining ash, obtained by removing water and other volatile constituents from animal and vegetation substances. Charcoal is usually produced by slow pyrolysis, the heating of wood or other substances in the absence of oxygen (see pyrolysis, char and biochar). It is usually an impure form of carbon as it contains ash; however, sugar charcoal is among the purest forms of carbon readily available, particularly if it is not made by heating but by a dehydration reaction with sulfuric acid to minimise introducing new impurities, as impurities can be removed from the sugar in advance. The resulting soft, brittle, lightweight, black, porous material resembles coal.
Historically, production of wood charcoal in districts where there is an abundance of wood dates back to a very ancient period, and generally consists of piling billets of wood on their ends so as to form a conical pile, openings being left at the bottom to admit air, with a central shaft to serve as a flue. The whole pile is covered with turf or moistened clay. The firing is begun at the bottom of the flue, and gradually spreads outwards and upwards. The success of the operation depends upon the rate of the combustion. Under average conditions, 100 parts of wood yield about 60 parts by volume, or 25 parts by weight, of charcoal; small-scale production on the spot often yields only about 50%, large-scale was efficient to about 90% even by the seventeenth century. The operation is so delicate that it was generally left to colliers (professional charcoal burners).
Plot
Unemployed artist Nina Rivera is at her breaking point in her noisy Bronx neighborhood. She is intimidated to step to Mateo Reyes, her young thuggish neighbor and source of the noise. They finally have a confrontation that forces both of them to examine how to navigate the space they both take up.
It doesn't live at the end of a rainbow,
It doesn't sleep at the edge of your bed
And sometimes it doesn't fit so well
With the plans you're making in your head
But just before you reach the service station,
Right before the car runs out of gas
In the eye of the tornado
With all the strong winds blowing past
That's where faith lives
That's where fear tries to go
That's where everybody guesses
And you're the one who knows
And it may take the most that you can give
To find the place where faith lives
It lives in the fiery furnace, and it lives in the
lion's den
And sometimes in the wilderness where it lives and dies
and lives again
It lives where the doors fly open, it lives where the
sun comes out
It lives in the window where you throw away all your
doubts
Chorus
You can't find it any easy way
Because it's all about the things that you can't see
But all the same it's right before you
Every time you get down on your knees
If we share this road for a portion of our way
There's something I should tell you in the light of day
Before this goes too far, before I fall too deep
You need to understand about the promises I keep
Because there's strength I want and there's peace I need
In the words I say, in the things I read
From the clothes I wear to the place I choose to sleep
Everything goes back to these promises I keep
It's not that I don't care for you and want to hold you
near
When the hour gets late and I say I have to go
Closer to the truth is that I'm honoring the One
Who loves us both more than we know
So you may think I'm wise, or you may think I'm strange
But my mind's made up and my heart won't change
And when the world falls down you can trust in me
Because I trust Him, and there are promises I keep
She didn't try to catch the bouquet
She knows it's not her turn, and it's okay
Usually it doesn't even cross her mind
That's what she likes to tell her friends anyway
But she can finally say, maybe it was for the best
And there are lots of things she hasn't even missed
Now and then she starts to feel alone
But then she looks outside
She knows she's got roses of her own
Cause He gives flowers to everyone
Not just the girlfriends or the brides
He sees the beauty deep inside
And He gives flowers to everyone
She hangs up the green satin dress
She laughs at how they're always out of style
It was just like all the others in the line
And when they asked her she told them
She'd never been more fine
But still she wonders what it would be like
To talk to someone when she gets home late at night
Sometimes she likes to pray out loud
That's when she knows she's not the only girl alone in
a crowd
Cause He gives flowers to everyone
Not just the clever or the elegant
Her cares will never be irrelevant
He gives flowers to everyone
And when they're out of season, she has snow
And when she's in the desert where they hardly ever
grow
He gives her diamonds in the midnight sky
Season after season, His love will never die
He gives flowers to everyone
Not just the mothers and the wives
He sees the beauty in our lives
I've been there and I've seen with those eyes
Green with envy, dark with anger
Or just plain blue
And I know the last thing you really want to hear
Is just what I'm about to tell you
But you have to hear the truth
I know it's stylish to be cynical these days
So there's only one thing left to do
Believe
Sometimes traffic lights are green,
Sometimes people keep their word
In spite of everything you've heard, it's true that
Sometimes nice guys finish first,
Sometimes true love really lasts
Sometimes all the world can change
If only you believe
Still you say the phone rings every time you want to
take a bath
Or take a nap, or you just need peace
But tell me this, did you really want to be
So all alone as you are now?
Don't you need a friend who knows
It's in the way you see the glass
Once you know that it's half full, it overflows
Every time that you
Believe
Sometimes Christmases are white,
Sometimes wedding days are clear
Sometimes rain falls right on time
To wash away your tears
Sometimes cornfields touch the sky,
Sometimes sunsets make you cry
Sometimes you see what Jesus sees
When you look in the mirror
And love isn't something that is just for everyone else
It's for you
Believe what I say is true
In spite of all the ways you feel right now
You've got to find out some way somehow to
Believe
Sometimes the good live long,
Sometimes kindness reaches far
Sometimes you hear your favorite song
Right when you get in the car
You don't have to move the sky
But you can chase the clouds away
You don't have to change the world,
But you might do it anyway
Believe
Believe sometimes nice guys finish first
You don't have to change the world,
Look at all the signs, Look at all the shows
All the glamorous people who claim to know
What perfection is and what makes beauty stay
But when all the styles go out and the labels fade away
It's what you give that makes you beautiful
It's how you live that makes your dreams come true
Keep your faith in this world,
And let the light of the Lord shine through
That's what makes you beautiful
Nothing burns as bright, nothing shimmers so
As the smile of a friend when hope is running low
And how your hand feels warm when you dry a tear
Love is still in fashion at the end of every year
Chorus
Even roses fade away in the snow
But the beauty in your heart can always grow
I've been looking through windows into the night sky Wondering if all the prayers that I pray ever reach that high 'Cause sometimes life can get so crazy, I can hardly make sense of it These are the times when I really discover what believing is
I use my faith to find the answers to the harder things I lift my questions to the sky and find the peace it brings I do my best to solve the problems that are in my hands And I leave the rest up to Jesus, and He understands
I've been looking for answers all my life And sometimes the best I can do is just pray that everything will work out right? There are solutions to every mystery, but I don't always know what they are And what about the questions in my worrying mind as I live beneath these stars?
I use my faith to find the answers to the harder things I lift my questions to the sky and find the peace it brings I do my best to solve the problems that are in my hands And I leave the rest up to Jesus, and He understands
When He sees the darkness closing in He gives His soft command And the shadows start to scatter just enough for me to take One step at a time, one foot past the next Until the time will come when I can see Him face to face
I use my faith to find the answers to the harder things I lift my questions to the sky and find the peace it brings I do my best to solve the problems that my heart controls And I leave the rest up to Jesus, and I just let go I just let go
I think it's time to look inside myself In truth I think I'm scared of what I'll see Facing this discrepancy of what I am And what I want to be Staring at the mirror with this heartless gaze I can read between the lines That go along the forehead of this anxious face That isn't even mine
Oh, my restless soul Trying hard to take control Worn out from standing still Knowing what I am and hoping that I can find A way to make it real
I think it's time to look inside my heart To face the insecurities I hide Still it seems so hard to struggle past the gates That are guarded by my pride Looking at the self that no one else can see Maybe it was better to be blind But the mirror in my hand is seen with different eyes Reflecting only truth within my mind
Oh, my restless soul Trying hard to take control Worn out from standing still Knowing what I am and hoping that I can find A way to make it real
whoooo whoooo whooooooo
Oh, my restless soul Trying hard to take control Worn out from standing still Knowing what I am and hoping that I can find A way to make it real
I've been there and I've seen with those eyes
Green with envy, dark with anger

Believe sometimes nice guys finish first
You don't have to change the world,
I was sitting on a southbound plane,
I was buried in a magazine
When the man in the next seat over
Wanted to talk to me
He talked about the universe,
He talked about Saturn's rings
He said, "I might be an atheist,
Except for just one thing:
It passes all my understanding
How it all worked out just right
The distance that we live from the sun,
The stars that shine at night
We may prove that it was just an accident
But how did it begin?
It passes all my understanding"
I told him, "You are a scholar;
You know things that I don't know
But I believe a God in heaven
Made everything below
And I know we are his children;
I've known it since I was two
But when it comes to being struck with awe,
I'm just like you
It passes all my understanding,
All the beauty we have here
From the majesty of the canyons
To a tiny baby's ear
And even when I can't believe it,
He still believes in me
It passes all my understanding"
We watched the sun set through the clouds
In a tiny little airplane window
With people sleeping all around
And I thought of how we just expect this world to be
And when the flight attendant passed me by
I threw away my magazine
It passes all my understanding,
Tat the Lord knows both our names
And that He made this world for everyone
That was sitting on that plane
And in spite of all of man's distractions
He offers us His peace
To make you want me I can fabricate the truth
I'll give you easy it'll keep me destitute
You hang me up on the line, hang me out to dry
And you got nothing to lose
You've got the story all made up inside your head
You write me out of it and use your words instead
You hold me just out of reach, but you keep me pounding the beat
To take all the soul you can get
You want me to change, change, change
You want me to change
You want me to change, change, change
You want me to change
You take no chances and you give no other choice
You fill your pockets and you empty out my voice
You use the shallow and old, trade the heart for the gold
You sell the song for the noise
You want me to change, change, change
You want me to change
You want me to change, change, change
You want me to change
You want me to change, change, change
You want me to change
You want me to change, change, change
You want me to change
You want me to change, change, change
You want me to change
You want me to change, change, change
You want me to change
You want me to change, change, change
You want me to change
You want me to change, change, change
You want me to change
You want me to change, change, change
You want me to change
You want me to change, change, change
Sing out your love, sing out your love, sing out your love
Sing out your fears of giving up, sing out your love
The room is dark, my head is a holding cell
I can't escape, I can't escape any reasons now
I step outside 'cause I cannot sleep
And I believe, but can you help me with my own belief?
Sing out your love, sing out your love, sing out your love
Sing out your fears of giving up, sing out your love
I start my car and turn off the radio
Put my foot down on the gas, try to let you go
But the silence gets louder and louder now
And I got no way to turn it down
Sing out your love, sing out your love, sing out your love
Sing out your fears of giving up, sing out your love
Sing out your love, sing out your love, sing out your love
Sing out your fears of giving up, sing out your love
All I have, all I have is love
All I have, all I have is love
Feel it in your heart when you break down
Feel it in your lungs when you cry out
Sing it out, sing it out
Sing out your love, sing out your love, sing out your love
Sing out your fears of giving up, sing out your love
Sing out your love, sing out your love, sing out your love
Sing out your hope, sing out to God, sing out your love
Feel it in your heart when you break down
Feel it in your lungs when you cry out
Sing it out, sing it out
Sing out your love, sing out your love, sing out your love
Forty long days and forty nights
Been at it twenty-six years trying to get it right
But I got one thing honey, one thing I got
I got my one thing honey, one thing I got
And everybody wants to celebrate
To tell their old high school buddies they've got it made
But I got one thing honey, one thing I got
I got my one thing honey, one thing I got is you
You fill my heart like an empty cup and it overflows into
All of my body and lifts me up like an ark in a flood
Maybe fifty more before we find an end
I'll be your Moses and we'll make it to the promised land
'Cause you're my one thing honey, one thing I got
You're my one thing honey, one thing I got
More like a fool and less like a man
The pendulum swings, but understand
That you're my one thing honey, one thing I got
You're my one thing honey, one thing I got is you
You fill my heart like an empty cup and it overflows into
All of my body and lifts me up like an ark in a flood
Water rise, water rise
And let the water rise, water rise
Until we come alive, come alive
Until we come alive, come alive
And let it out
You fill my heart like an empty cup and it overflows into
ok Bob
à demain matin
ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
ok Bob
m'en vient la
ok Bob
à demain Matin
un gros sprite
ok Bob
à demain matin
m'en vien la
ok bob
ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
I'm tired of fighting you
So I'll say what you want me to
You know we're gonna wake up tomorrow
We're back to where we began
We started over again
Our voices breaking steal, and borrow
And you hold your tongue
Your words are locked up in your lungs
So I'll come at it quietly
I just want some honesty
When all that I can ease is sorrow
But I am yours, yours, yours
If you love me make your mind up, make your mind up
I am yours, yours, yours
If you love me make your mind up, make your mind up
So I leave with an open hand
Your grip pulls me back again
We're all together lost in nowhere
And you say what you mean to babe
But tomorrow's a different way
The stories change what reasons are there
And now you hold your tongue
You're trying not to come undone
But all I need is one
So baby speak your words and take me somewhere
Cuz I am yours, yours, yours
If you love me make your mind up, make your mind up
I am yours, yours, yours
If you love me make your mind up, make your mind up
You wanted me to let you, you wanted me to let you in
And I tried, I tried
You wanted me to let you, you wanted me to let you in
And i tried
But there ain't no way else to tell you
That I am yours, yours, yours
If you love me make your mind up, make your mind up
I am yours, yours, yours, yours
If you love me make your mind up, c'mon make your mind up
