Highwaymen is a 2004 action-thriller filmed in Canada.
It was directed by Robert Harmon, and stars Jim Caviezel and Rhona Mitra, and features Frankie Faison and Colm Feore. The score was composed by Mark Isham.
Rennie Cray embarks on a quest to avenge the death of his wife, who was struck down years before by a serial killer known as Fargo, who hunts and kills women with his 1972 Cadillac Eldorado. Just after his wife was struck and killed, Cray, a doctor, stikes Fargo's car with his Mercedes on the highway, Fargo is hospitalized for the next 18 months and much of his body is replaced with prosthetics. Cray is imprisoned for three years. When Cray is released from prison, he begins tracking Fargo who has made the Eldorado into an extension of his own body. Fargo continues with his hit-and-run spree, disguising his murders as accidents.
When one of Fargo's victims, Molly, escapes alive Cray protects her. Cray hunts down Fargo in a 1968 Plymouth Barracuda SuperStock 426 Hemi, 4 speed with a pistol grip Hurst shifter. Meanwhile, state traffic investigator Will Macklin pursues Cray while Fargo plans to kill Cray at last.

It was directed by Robert Harmon, and stars Jim Caviezel and Rhona Mitra, and features Frankie Faison and Colm Feore. The score was composed by Mark Isham.
Rennie Cray embarks on a quest to avenge the death of his wife, who was struck down years before by a serial killer known as Fargo, who hunts and kills women with his 1972 Cadillac Eldorado. Just after his wife was struck and killed, Cray, a doctor, stikes Fargo's car with his Mercedes on the highway, Fargo is hospitalized for the next 18 months and much of his body is replaced with prosthetics. Cray is imprisoned for three years. When Cray is released from prison, he begins tracking Fargo who has made the Eldorado into an extension of his own body. Fargo continues with his hit-and-run spree, disguising his murders as accidents.
When one of Fargo's victims, Molly, escapes alive Cray protects her. Cray hunts down Fargo in a 1968 Plymouth Barracuda SuperStock 426 Hemi, 4 speed with a pistol grip Hurst shifter. Meanwhile, state traffic investigator Will Macklin pursues Cray while Fargo plans to kill Cray at last.

You see they all love this song so much... Waylon wants to sing on with the second verse, but Johnny steals him the following line (2:15) ... then Kris is waiting on someone else to sing on with whom it was good enough for, but no-one seems to dare (3:00), so he does himself... :-)

"Me and Bobby McGee" is a song that was covered multiple times with various levels of commercial success. Roger Miller was the first artist to have a hit with the song, peaking with it at No. 12 on the US country chart in 1969. Gordon Lightfoot's version hit No. 13 on the pop chart and No. 1 country in his native Canada in 1970. Lightfoot sang the song after a detailed tribute to Kris Kristofferson in a CBC broadcast from the summer 1969 Charlottetown Festival. In his introduction, Lightfoot referred to the Miller version and said he intended to record it himself "the way it should be done." In a 2008 autobiography, Don Reid and Harold Reid of the Statler Brothers say Kristofferson promised it to them, but when they later inquired about recording it, they learned Miller had already cut the song. The Reids say there were no hard feelings, and were happy about Miller's success with the song. The song was later included on a Statler Brothers album, and was not released as a single.
Janis Joplin covered the song for inclusion on her Pearl album only a few days before her death in October 1970. Kris had sung the song for Joplin, and singer Bob Neuwirth taught it to her. Kris, however, did not know she had covered it until after her death (the first time he heard it was the day after she died). Joplin's version topped the charts to become her only number one single and only the second posthumous number one single in rock & roll history (the first was "(Sittin' on) the Dock of the Bay" by Otis Redding). In 2004, the Janis Joplin version of this song was ranked No. 148 on Rolling Stone's list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.

Kristoffer "Kris" Kristofferson is an American country music singer, songwriter, musician, and film actor. As part of their "In Performance at the White House" series, the President and First Lady invited country music legends and contemporary major artists to the White House for a celebration of country music. The program includes performances by Lauren Alaina, The Band Perry, Dierks Bentley, Alison Krauss, Kris Kristofferson, Lyle Lovett, Mickey, Darius Rucker and James Taylor.
Kristoffer "Kris" Kristofferson is an American country music singer, songwriter, musician, and film actor. He is known for such hits as "Me and Bobby McGee", "For the Good Times", "Sunday Mornin' Comin' Down", and "Help Me Make It Through the Night". In 1985, Kristofferson joined fellow country artists Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson and Johnny Cash in forming the country music supergroup "The Highwaymen". In 2004, Kristofferson was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.
Darius C. Rucker is an American musician most famous as the lead singer and rhythm guitarist of the Grammy Award-winning rock band Hootie & the Blowfish. The Highwaymen were based in Fort Pierce, Florida, and consisting of twenty-six (twenty-five 25 men and one woman) African-American painters. The group was co-founded by Henry Hair and Harold Newton."

Auletta, the son of an Italian-American father and a Jewish-American mother, grew up in Brooklyn, where he attended Abraham Lincoln High School.[1]
Auletta is a graduate of State University of New York at Oswego (SUNY Oswego) where he was a member of Sigma Tau Chi fraternity, and received his M.A. in political science from Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University.[2]
Auletta worked in government and on several political campaigns, and taught and trained Peace Corps volunteers. He was also the first executive director of the New York City Off-Track Betting Corporation. In 1974, Auletta became the chief political correspondent for the New York Post. Following that, he was a staff writer and weekly columnist for the Village Voice, and then a contributing editor at New York magazine. He started contributing to The New Yorker in 1977. Between 1977 and 1993, he wrote a weekly political column for the New York Daily News. He was the guest editor of the 2002 edition of The Best Business Stories of the Year.
Auletta has written the "Annals of Communications" column for The New Yorker since 1992. He is the author of ten books, including Greed and Glory on Wall Street: The Fall of The House of Lehman (1986), Three Blind Mice: How the TV Networks Lost Their Way (1991), The Highwaymen: Warriors of the Information Superhighway (1997), and World War 3.0: Microsoft and Its Enemies (2001). This is DayZ Fusion and it's one of the newer mods for the Arma 2 DayZ mod! In DayZ Fusion you will trek across the new map called Varkgard! It's a map that would remind you of Taviana in the way that it's two islands separated by a body of water connected by a bridge. The map will be constantly updated as it is not even close to being finished, with many more features to be added yet. I take a look at the map and these videos will be my first impressions of the mod from the first few hours of play!

This time around we tried one of the other servers for Arma 3 Altis life called killernetworkgaming. I team up with Ktulu and a few of the lads from Gaellords. It's worth mentioning that you're not supposed to go around deathmatching people in the game but everybody seems to be doing it anyway on this server. In retrospect I think the Blackwinggaming one was better. You're not supposed to random deathmatch people on that one either but it happens sometimes anyway. The mission file is still in early days anyway so i'm sure they'll sort out thing eventually :) Hope you guys enjoy!

ABOUT THE GAME
Experience true combat gameplay in a massive military sandbox. Authentic, diverse, open - Arma 3 sends you to war.
The Altis life mission file creates an open world scenario where there are two to 3 factions. The Police, the Civilians and the Rebels. The Police maintain law and order and are bound by law. They earn money by completing police activities such as patrols etc. The Civilians are the most popular faction who earn money by completing civilian activities such as oil drilling or illegal activities such as drug muling, if caught doing an illegal action they are sent to jail by police.. if they are caught! The rebels are a seperate country all together who have their own laws and can declare war on the police etc.
☢ KEY FEATURES ☢
• Civilization Simulation -- Arma 3 Altis life does it's best to replicate real life scenarios and activities for players from drug muling to oil drilling to car chases. It's got it all (Nearly)
• Factions -- Join up with either the police or the civilians. Fight for the law, abide by it or go for a total revolution and join the rebel county!
• Personal effects - Start as a lowly peasant without a vehicle or proper clothing and acquire an inventory of clothes, peripherals, vehicles, guns and peripherals to rival any player!
• In-game currency -- Players pay for everything using in-game money. You earn money by completing various activities like picking apples or running drugs.
• Gangs -- Tired of running on your own? Team up with other players to form a gang! You can even get matching clothes!

this less well-known, but hugely much more rockin' HIGHWAYMEN band later evolved into "loose diamonds" down in austin. but earlier, for a few months, and a clutch of maybe ten shows, I was on board. they brought me in on 2nd guitar alongside Jimmy D for their first tour. it was cold! this CBGB's recording sounds decent enough to join ho-ho's "30 YEARS TIME AGO" series.
just after being coaxed into a cowboy shirt, and right before hitting the stage, i'd give a blank cassette tape to the various soundmen and hope for the best, then collect it up at the soundboard after the show. the soundman from the dolphin club had worked with the byrds, or so he said, but that did not seem so! when the band heard a few seconds of this wilmington delaware show (the bonus tracks) they about had a shit-fit and wanted to destroy my tape right then and there. I was not agreeable to that, and shoved the tape further down into my cooper hockey equipment bag-- closely guarding it until we hit cincinnati. I think it sounds pretty cool, actually.
