Alexander Knox (16 January 1907 – 25 April 1995) was a Canadian actor and author of adventure novels set in the Great Lakes area during the 19th century.
Born in Strathroy, Ontario, he graduated from the University of Western Ontario, and later moved to Boston, Massachusetts to perform on the stage. During the 1930s he moved to London, England where he appeared in several films. He starred opposite Jessica Tandy in the 1940 Broadway production of Jupiter Laughs. In 1944, he was chosen by Darryl F. Zanuck to star in Wilson, the biographical film about US President Woodrow Wilson, for which he was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actor. However, during the McCarthy Era, he was blacklisted by the Hollywood film studio bosses and he returned to England.
He had major roles in The Sea Wolf, Over 21, Sister Kenny, The Vikings, Europa '51, None Shall Escape, and Nicholas and Alexandra, as well as supporting roles in Joshua Then and Now and Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy. He also wrote six adventure novels: Bride of Quietness, Night of the White Bear, The Enemy I Kill, Raider's Moon, The Kidnapped Surgeon and Totem Dream.
Plot
A team of trainees of the National Guard brings supply to the New Mexico Desert for a group of soldiers and scientists that are installing a monitoring system in Sector 16. They do not find anybody in the camp, and they receive a blurred distress signal from the hills. Their sergeant gathers a rescue team, and they are attacked and trapped by deformed cannibals, having to fight to survive.

Plot
A group of former high-school buddies have a reunion in Las Vegas. Thinking to increase their alumni fund, they proceed to use it to gamble at the casinos. Of course, they lose it all. They then get together and try to figure out a way to win it all back.

Warrwen Hamilton and Martin Crane, chief executives if the World-Wide Insurance Company, enlist the aid of the Masked Marvel to find Mura Sakima, a former Japanese envoy, whom they suspect of being responsible for extensive sabotage of war industries. But CRane is secretly in league with Sakima, and they arrange for Hamilton's murder. The murdered man's daughter, Alice, joins the Masked Marvel and his three aides in a campaign to expose and apprehend Sakima. The Masked Marvel is one of four men - Bob Barton, Frank Jeffers, Terry Morton and Jim Arnold; he hides his identity beneath a black mask and only Alice knows he is one of the four investigators.
