Moxley is a part of Darlaston in the West Midlands. It was first developed during the early part of the 19th century when a handful of terraced houses were built to accommodate locals working in factories and mines and the area was created in 1845 out of land from Darlaston, Bilston and Wednesbury.
Moxley has been the subject of local headlines numerous times.
In May 1999, a semi-detached council house on Hughes Road was severely damaged when a disused mineshaft below the property collapsed causing the majority of the structure to collapse with it. As a result of the damage and weakened structure, the attached property also had to be demolished.
In January 2002, Walsall Council announces plans to demolish the 127-home estate around Harrowby Road (known as the Bradley Lodge estate when it was built by Bilston Council in the 1930s) due to mining subsidence, which already forced more than half of the estate's residents to move. By February 2004, just 20 families remained on the estate and the first properties were demolished. Since July 2007 there has been just one resident still on the estate, waiting for an adequate offer for his home; his home and the neighbouring property are now the only houses yet to be demolished on the estate.
Moxley got his start in Heartland Wrestling Association (HWA) in 2004. He started training under the tutelage of Cody Hawk and Les Thatcher. In June 2004, Moxley made his debut. Not even a year into his career, Moxley teamed up with Jimmy Turner as Necessary Roughness, and on May 11, 2005, they defeated the team of Mike Desire and Tack to win the HWA Tag Team Championship. After Quinten Lee and Ala Hussein, who made up the team Foreign Intelligence, beat Necessary Roughness for the HWA Tag Team Championship, Moxley started teaming with Ric Byrne in a team known as Heartland Foundation. They beat Foreign Intelligence for the title on August 19, 2005. On the same day, Heartland Foundation was stripped of the title for unknown reasons. Brock Guffman awarded the title back to Foreign Intelligence, and this was Moxley last stint in the tag team division for a period of time.
My fangirlness has reached this point. Oy. A look at Mox's time in DGUSA (with a little CZW & IPW) when he was just a dirty skanky chauvinist. I really shouldn't find it as funny as I do. I hope you find it enjoyable.

So i made this video for a Uni assessment, we were asked to create some kind of instillation/performance piece with the stimulus of Hollywood. The following was the rationale I handed in along side the work.
‘This Horror is Real’
When you think of Hollywood what comes to mind? For most people its fame, fortune glamour, gossip and a sometimes a soulless industry, but when I think Hollywood I think Hollywood Hulk Hogan, The Rock and David Arquette becoming WCW World Heavyweight champion. Now when I say wrestling what comes to mind? The majority of people say fake or tacky, gay or stupid. The word fake is defined as ‘not genuine; imitation or counterfeit’, to me that describes Hollywood not wrestling.
For this project I decided to look at the world of wrestling, most specificity independent wrestling through the ultraviolent career of Jon Moxley and indy company CZW (Combat Zone Wrestling). I chose to look at hardcore/Ultraviolent wrestling because I believe that Hollywood is a driving force behind the demand for it, this is because society has become so accustom to ‘Hollywood Horror’ and on screen violence that when wrestling fans go to independent shows they expect the violence to match and rival that on the silver screens.
The men and women of CZW wrestling and other extreme indy companies chose the ultraviolent lifestyle because of a love for the industry, a industry that is constantly attacked for being fake or too violent. Now these two criticisms contradict each other, how can something be fake but too violent? The truth is it is neither, the storylines may be made up or genuine rivalries hyped up/exaggerated but the in ring action is real. The moves are of course leant and performed to insure the safety of wrestlers but it is not Hollywood once they step though that curtain there are no second takes or stunt doubles, its live and it painful, and if it was too violent people wouldn’t watch but they do. So for this project I have cut together some promos and match footage from Jon Moxley’s independent career, I also used audio from the WWE ‘Don’t try this at home’ ads to overlay with CZW clips to show the true extremes of wrestling and that these men and women endure unimaginable pain not only to entertain but for the sport they love. The purpose of this footage is to confront the viewer’s perceptions of wrestling and the preconceived idea of it being fake.
If I had a bigger budget and more time I would like to have had a room/warehouse set up with the video projecting on a wall and the room/warehouse set up for a ‘Death match’ with barbed wire, tables, steel chairs and other weapons sprawled around the place. I would have the audience enter the warehouse through the ‘Hollywood glamour’ of a red carpet and then once they step off the red carpet and through the door into ‘reality’ they would be met with the violent wrestling footage and the physical environment of a ‘Death Match’.
This footage contains violence, blood and inappropriate language, views discursion is advised.

The Leshan Giant Buddha (simplified Chinese: 乐山大佛; traditional Chinese: 樂山大佛; pinyin: Lèshān Dàfó) is a 71-metre (233 ft) tall stone statue, built during the Tang Dynasty. It is carved out of a cliff face that lies at the confluence of the Minjiang, Dadu and Qingyi rivers in the southern part of Sichuan province in China, near the city of Leshan. The stone sculpture faces Mount Emei, with the rivers flowing below his feet. It is the largest stone Buddha in the world[1] and it is by far the tallest pre-modern statue in the world.

Mount Huang :One of China’s major tourist destinations, Mount Huang is a mountain range in eastern China also known as Huangshan (“Yellow Mountain”). The area is well known for its scenery, pine trees, peculiarly-shaped granite peaks and views of the clouds from above. In ancient times almost 60,000 stone steps were carved into the side of the mountain range. Today there are also cable cars that tourists can use to ride directly from the base to one of the summits.

Ghost stations is the usual English translation for the German word Geisterbahnhöfe. This term was used to describe certain stations on Berlin's U-Bahn and S-Bahn metro networks that were closed during the period of Berlin's division during the Cold War. Since then, the term has come to be used to describe any disused station on an underground railway line, especially those actively passed through by passenger trains.
An abandoned (or disused) railway station is a building or structure which was constructed to serve as a railway station but has fallen into disuse. There are various circumstances when this may occur - a railway company may fall bankrupt, or the station may be closed due to the failure of economic activitiy such as insufficient passenger numbers, operational reasons such as the diversion or replacement of the line. In some instances, the railway line may continue in operation while the station is closed. Additionally, stations may sometimes be resited along the route of the line to new premises - examples of this include opening a replacement station nearer to the centre of population, or building a larger station on a less restricted site to cope with high passenger numbers.
Notable cases where railway stations have fallen into disuse include the Beeching Axe, a 1960s programme of mass closures of unprofitable railway lines by the British Government. The London Underground system is also noted for its list of closed stations. During the time of the Berlin Wall, a number of Berlin U-Bahn stations on West Berlin lines became "ghost stations" (Geisterbahnhöfe) because they were on lines which passed through East Berlin territory.
Railway stations and lines which fall into disuse may become overgrown. Some former railway lines are repurposed as managed nature reserves, trails or other tourist attractions - for example Hellfire Pass, the route of the former "Death Railway" in Thailand. Many former railways are converted into long-distance cycleways, such as large sections of the National Cycle Network in the United Kingdom. In rural areas, former railway station buildings are often converted into private residences. Examples include many of the stations on the closed Didcot, Newbury and Southampton Railway in England.
Architecturally and historically notable station buildings may present a problem if they are protected under building preservation laws but fall into disuse. Such buildings are often simply demolished (such as Broad Street railway station (London); a similar fate threatens Michigan Central Station), or they may be preserved as part of a heritage railway. Often, in order to be retained as commercially viable structures within an urban environment, or as part of an urban regeneration project, they may be repurposed for alternative activities. Prominent examples include the ornate Gare d'Orsay in Paris, France, which was converted into the Musée d'Orsay art gallery; and Manchester Central railway station which was put to new use first as a car park, and later refurbished as the Manchester Central Conference Centre. The Ottawa Convention Centre is a former station, as are railway museums Memory Junction in Brighton and Railway Museum of Eastern Ontario in Smiths Falls. In Prescott the rail station houses historical society offices; in Lac-Mégantic and Kingston a former station houses a tourism information office. Stations have also been transformed into restaurants or private residences.
Many abandoned railway stations and line are now being brought back into operational service, notably in the UK where environmental policy is driving the reversal of some of the Beeching closures of the 1960s. In London the Docklands Light Railway made use of disused railway infrastructure for much of its construction; in Manchester it is proposed to expand the Metrolink light rail system by re-opening abandoned rail lines; and in Scotland, the Scottish Government has plans to bring the Waverley Line back into passenger service.

Travel in China: Leshan Giant Buddha, WeTravel
The Mount Emei Scenic Area, including Leshan Giant Buddha Scenic Area has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1996.
Construction was started in 713, led by a Chinese monk named Haitong. He hoped that the Buddha would calm the turbulent waters that plagued the shipping vessels traveling down the river. When funding for the project was threatened, he is said to have gouged out his own eyes to show his piety and sincerity. After his death, however, the construction was stuck due to insufficient funding. About 70 years later, a jiedushi decided to sponsor the project and the construction was completed by Haitong's disciples in 803.
Apparently the massive construction resulted in so much stone being removed from the cliff face and deposited into the river below that the currents were indeed altered by the statue, making the water safe for passing ships.
A sophisticated drainage system was incorporated into the Leshan Giant Buddha when it was built. It is still in working order. It includes drainage pipes carved into various places on the body, to carry away the water after the rains so as to reduce weathering.
When the Giant Buddha was carved, a huge thirteen storey stone structure was built to shelter it from rain and sunshine. This structure was destroyed and sacked by the Mongols during the wars at the end of the Yuan Dynasty. From then on, the stone statue was exposed to the elements. Mount Huang In China | Amazing In Li River Cruise 2015
Li River Cruise :A Li River cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo is the highlight of any trip to northeastern Guangxi Province. The landscape is decorated with amazing hills, steep cliffs, incredible caves and farming villages, and is lined with bamboo groves. With its breathtaking scenery and taste of a life far removed from the concrete metropolis, the scenery along the Li River is one of the top tourist attractions in China.

My fangirlness has reached this point. Oy. A look at Mox's time in DGUSA (with a little CZW & IPW) when he was just a dirty skanky chauvinist. I really shouldn't find it as funny as I do. I hope you find it enjoyable.
