Maize ( /ˈmeɪz/ MAYZ; Zea mays L, from Spanish: maíz after Taíno mahiz) known in many English-speaking countries as corn or mielie/mealie, is a grain domesticated by indigenous peoples in Mesoamerica in prehistoric times. The leafy stalk produces ears which contain seeds called kernels. Though technically a grain, maize kernels are used in cooking as a vegetable or starch. The Olmec and Mayans cultivated it in numerous varieties throughout central and southern Mexico, cooked, ground or processed through nixtamalization. Between 1700 and 1250 BCE, the crop spread through much of the Americas. The region developed a trade network based on surplus and varieties of maize crops. After European contact with the Americas in the late 15th and early 16th centuries, explorers and traders carried maize back to Europe and introduced it to other countries. Maize spread to the rest of the world due to its ability to grow in diverse climates. Sugar-rich varieties called sweet corn are usually grown for human consumption, while field corn varieties are used for animal feed and as chemical feedstocks.
Marina Lambrini Diamandis (Greek: Μαρίνα-Λαμπρινή Διαμάντη, pronounced [ðʝaˈmadi]; born 10 October 1985), better known by her stage name Marina and the Diamonds (sometimes stylised as Marina & the Diamonds), is a Welsh singer-songwriter. She rose to fame after reaching number two on the BBC Sound of 2010 poll list, coming second to Ellie Goulding. After releasing one private EP, Diamandis released her second extended play, The Crown Jewels EP, with help from Neon Gold Records, in 2009. Now signed to 679 Recordings, she released her debut full length studio album, The Family Jewels, followed by her third extended play, The American Jewels EP, in 2010. In 2011, Diamandis announced that she was working on her second album, Electra Heart, which was released in April 2012 and went to #1 in the UK and Ireland.
Her stage name, "Marina and the Diamonds", consists of Diamandis' first name and the translation of her surname which means "Diamonds" in Greek. Although "The Diamonds" is often mistakenly believed to refer to her backing band, it in fact refers to Diamandis' fans: she explains this on her Myspace page by saying "I'm Marina. You are the diamonds."

Without His Gun He Was Naked Yellow!
O the height the depth
the width and breath
o the height and depth
the height
the height
O the height and depth
O the height and depth
Samson the sun
stand the hawk
ground
of one who has heard...
smoke fires... flaming fox
kindleth fire in the torches, fire
sendeth he out
into the standing corn,
even unto vineyard -
unto olive
he smiteth them hip and thigh -
right hand and eye
a great great smiting,
The height
the height
O the height and depth
O the height and depth
He goeth down
and dwelleth in
the cleft of the rock
on his arms are as flax
they burn with fire,
and his bands are wasted
from off his hands,
the merciful parable
the wine press yes
no shadow of turning
a rumor is enough
he findeth a fresh jaw-bone
of an ass, putteth forth his hand
and taketh it,
and smiteth - a thousand men
He taketh a fresh jawbone
O the height and depth
the width and breath
O the height and depth
The height
the height
O the height and depth
