It is the second-most-massive known dwarf planet, after Eris. Like other Kuiper-belt objects, Pluto is composed primarily of rock and ice and is relatively small, approximately one-sixth the mass of the Moon and one-third its volume. It has an eccentric and highly inclined orbit that takes it from 30 to 49 AU (4.4--7.4 billion km) from the Sun. This causes Pluto to periodically come closer to the Sun than Neptune, but an orbital resonance with Neptune prevents the bodies from colliding. In 2014 it was 32.6 AU from the Sun. Discovered in 1930, Pluto was originally classified as the ninth planet from the Sun. Its status as a major planet fell into question following further study of it and the outer Solar System over the ensuing 75 years. Starting in 1977 with the discovery of the minor planet 2060 Chiron, numerous icy objects similar to Pluto with eccentric orbits were found. The most notable of these was the scattered disc object Eris, discovered in 2005, which is 27% more massive than Pluto. The understanding that Pluto is only one of several large icy bodies in the outer Solar System prompted the International Astronomical Union (IAU) to define formally in 2006 what it means to be a "planet". This definition excluded Pluto and reclassified it as a member of the new "dwarf planet" category (and specifically as a plutoid). A few astronomers hold that Pluto should have remained classified as a planet, and that other dwarf planets and even moons should be added to the roster of planets along with Pluto. Pluto has five known moons: Charon (the largest, with a diameter just over half that of Pluto), Nix, Hydra, Kerberos, and Styx. Pluto and Charon are sometimes described as a binary system because the barycenter of their orbits does not lie within either body. The IAU has yet to formalise a definition for binary dwarf planets, and Charon is officially classified as a moon of Pluto. On July 14, 2015, the Pluto system is due to be visited by spacecraft for the first time. The New Horizons probe will perform a flyby during which it will attempt to take detailed measurements and images of the Plutoid and its moons.

Scientist Jeff Coughlin says “this is the first possibly rocky, habitable planet around a solar-type star.” All 11 previously discovered exoplanets of similar size and orbit circle smaller, cooler stars. The planet was found by the Kepler telescope, which searches for possible Earth-twins by observing periodic dips in the brightness of stars as planets pass before them, like the way our moon causes an eclipse here on Earth. The Kepler telescope stared at a single patch of the Milky Way for four years before its pointing system failed in 2013, but the mission still succeeded in cataloguing more than 4,600 exoplanet candidates. This means astronomers still have huge amounts of data to sort through and make new findings, like this discovery. With 452b, just over 1,000 of the exoplanet candidates have now been confirmed. 20 years ago this fall, the first exoplanet orbiting a distant star was discovered. And with the successor to Kepler launching in 2017, the pace of discovery is about to increase substantially. The Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (or TESS), will be able to cover hundreds of times as much sky as the Kepler mission, and will identify prime targets for further examination by the successor to Hubble, the James Webb Space Telescope, set for an October 2018 launch. Astronomers can now project with some degree of confidence that of the 600 stars within 30 light-years of Earth, there should be roughly 60 potential earth-twins. So, according to Dr. Didier Queloz, the man who co-discovered that first earth-like planet 20 years ago, “If we keep working so well and so enthusiastically, the issue of life on another planet will be solved.” Like and share this video to help others on our little rock become aware of this good news. Gustav Holst - "JUPITER - The Bringer of Jollity" (from the orchestral suite "The Planets" - this is arrangement for quatre-mains (4 hands) piano) PRIMO: Eriko Mikami, SECONDO: Dušan Holý Piano: Steinway D Year: 2013 ******* I should add an information that this is result of 1 day preparing... We should have been playing Dance Macabre by Saint-Saëns that day (we have won kind of school competition with that piece and Radio broadcast from Concertgebouw was the prize..) But - our school was sooo stupid that did not organize this better and they called like 2 nights before broadcast that there won't be 2 pianos... So we had to change the program otherwise somebody else would have been playing there.. So grabbed this piece because like 2 years before, we played that just for fun, so we knew that a bit.. Is not perfect, full of promises, but hopefully a bit enjoyable anyway.

Hello all. I have been a long time fan of the Assassin's Creed series, and the new cinematic trailer for AC Unity seems to be no exception to the incredible quality of cinematic trailers the other games have had. I liked the audio they had on the original AC Unity trailer, but I wanted to add some audio that seemed more grandiose, sound that enhanced the chaotic nature of revolution while also maintaining the grace of a master assassin. The well-known "Mars, The Bringer of War" by composer Gustav Holst seemed to be a great fit, and I personally think it melds the ruthlessness of revolution with the artistry of assassination in a pretty cool way. The virus transforms chimps, making them grow as human intelligence. One of the test subject is a chimpanzee females became aggressive when the kids know it (it was secretly born) are threatened. Female chimps were killed after destroying a meeting. Will's boss Steven Jacobs (David Oyelowo) ordered subordinates Robert Franklin (Tyler Labine) stopped all trials chimps, but Robert could not kill chimpanzees themselves children should he communicate it to Will. Will that chimps have culture in their own house and named Caesar (Andy Serkis). Caesar inherited his mother's intelligence, and learn very quickly. Three years later, Will give a sample cure for his father, Charles (John Lithgow), people with Alzheimer's. At first, his father's illness improved but 5 years later, the immune system of the body against the virus and return him amnesia. While dementia, Charles has collided with its neighbor and that neighbor (David Hewlett) angry. When he threatened and pushed him down Charles, Caesar immediately attacked him. After the incident, Caesar was forced to leave Will's house and kept at the base of San Bruno primate is run by John Landon (Brian Cox), where the monkey was treated cruelly by Dodge (Tom Felton) (son Landon), who was a guard there. Caesar was a cold treatment of the staff and the other apes. When Dodge and his friends on the base, one of them too close to the cage and grabbed Caesar Caesar, it stole pocket knife, then used it to escape his cage. Caesar frees a gorilla named Buck, and with the help Buck helped Casesar increased its dominance with the other apes. Meanwhile, Will create a stronger form of the virus to continue treatment for his father and new tests on chimpanzees start. The tests on chimpanzee named Koba showed it to further enhance the intelligence of apes. However, scientists do not know that the virus lethal to humans. Franklin exposure to new viruses and started sneezing up blood. He accidentally sneezes on Will's neighbor, and then was found dead in his apartment. Will attempt to warn Jacobs developed the test, but knowing Jacobs continued to plan, Will was quitting. Caesar finally escape at primate facility and go to the Will. In that it steals the new virus spread through the air and across the region in order to strengthen the basis for the intelligence of his fellow monkeys. It hit Dodge prison and showed his ability to pronounce by screaming "No!" at him. The monkeys escape from the base and into the city, freeing the remaining monkeys at GEN-SYS and at the San Francisco zoo. The monkeys were police blockade on the Golden Gate Bridge to stop them pass. Jacobs came with a helicopter and his soldiers began shooting dead chimpanzee. Buck sacrificed himself to bring down the helicopter, killing everyone inside except Jacobs. He calls for help, but his helicopter knocked down the bay below by Koba. The monkey escaped into Muir Woods National Monument. Will the forest and attacked by Koba, but Caesar stopped and help Will get up. Will warned Caesar that humans than apes scary thought much, he promised Caesar that it will be protected if back home with him. Caesar (now have the ability to speak) stock Will hug and said to tell you that "Caesar had to return home", since monkeys do not rebel anymore. The film ends when Will's neighbors have signs of illness (due to spread from Franklin), at which he is to train abroad, signaling a global pandemic will take place.

It was a scientist, Galileo Galilei, who demystified planet Venus... charting its phases as it moved around the sun, drawing it into the ranks of the other planets. With a similar size and weight, Venus became known as Earth's sister planet. But how Earth-like is it? The Russian scientist Mikkhail Lomonosov caught a tantalizing hint in 1761. As Venus passed in front of the Sun, he witnessed a hair thin luminescence on its edge. Venus, he found, has an atmosphere. Later observations revealed a thick layer of clouds. Astronomers imagined they were made of water vapor, like those on Earth. Did they obscure stormy, wet conditions below? And did anyone, or anything, live there? NASA sent Mariner 2 to Venus in 1962... in the first-ever close planetary encounter. Its instruments showed that Venus is nothing at all like Earth. Rather, it's extremely hot, with an atmosphere made up mostly of carbon dioxide. The data showed that Venus rotates very slowly... only once every 243 Earth days... and it goes in the opposite direction. American and Soviet scientists found out just how strange Venus is when they sent a series of landers down to take direct readings. Surface temperatures are almost 900 degrees Fahrenheit, hot enough to melt lead, with the air pressure 90 times higher than at sea level on Earth. The air is so thick that it's not a gas, but a "supercritical fluid." Liquid CO2. On our planet, the only naturally occurring source is in the high-temperature, high-pressure environments of undersea volcanoes. It comes in handy for extracting caffeine from coffee beans... or drycleaning our clothes. You just wouldn't want to have to breathe it. The Soviet Venera landers sent back pictures showing that Venus is a vast garden of rock, with no water in sight. In fact, if you were to smooth out the surface of Venus, all the water in the atmosphere would be just 3 centimeters deep. Compare that to Earth... where the oceans would form a layer 3 kilometers deep. If you could land on Venus, you'd be treated to tranquil vistas and sunset skies, painted in orange hues. The winds are light, only a few miles per hour... but the air is so thick that a breeze would knock you over. Look up and you'd see fast-moving clouds... streaking around the planet at 300 kilometers per hour. These clouds form a dense high-altitude layer, from 45 to 66 kilometers above the surface. The clouds are so dense and reflective that Venus absorbs much less solar energy than Earth, even though it's 30% closer to the Sun.
