Speaking at Kitale District Hospital after receiving a consignment of beds donated by the World Medical relief organization in the USA Khaemba said most health facilities in the counties lacked equipment that is crucial hence the need for the national government and other well wishers to assist. Khaemba says that even before the debate on whether the national government should support them or not, Trans Nzoia County had already written to the national government giving them a list of relevant equipment needed.

The "Tanzanian cheetah" , also commonly known as "East African cheetah" or "Kenyan cheetah", is a subspecies of cheetah found on the eastern part of Africa. They live in Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya and Somalia.
These cheetahs are close to being classified as endangered, with the total number estimated at 2,572 adults and independent adolescents. Tanzanian cheetahs are the second-largest population after the most numerous South African cheetah .
Not much is known about the Tanzanian cheetah's evolutionary story, although at first, the Eastern and Southern African cheetahs were thought to be identical. However, in the 1990s, DNA research revealed the Tanzanian cheetahs and their southern cousins are separate subspecies.
The East African cheetah is the largest subspecies. It can measure from 110 to 130 cm in length and weighs between 40 to 65 kg. It is the second-palest species after the very pale Northwest African cheetah. The Tanzanian cheetahs have a white-yellowish coat. Their fur are quite shorter and leaner than other subspecies.
There had been reports about some Tanzanian cheetah of other color variations, such as melanism and spotlessness. A black cheetah was sighted in the Trans-Nzoia District of Kenya in 1925. A spotless cheetah was shot in Tanzania in 1921, it had only a few very small spots on the neck and back. Another cheetah with this color-morph was photographed in Kenya in 2012.
The Tanzanian cheetahs live in eastern parts of Africa. They primarily live on grasslands, savannahs, open fields and arid environments. A few can also be found at lakeshores and coastal areas.
