Take metered Taxi's when available especially from the airport. 4. Exchange bigger bills instead of smaller ones. 5. Travel to other destinations outside of Bangkok(Krabi, Chiang Mai, and so much more). 6. Get as many Thai massages you can (180-250 Baht per massage - $6-8 in USD!) 7.Take in the culture, sights and sounds. 8. Go to the Chatuchak Weekend Market in Bangkok. 9. Hear people speaking your native language, spark up a convo(you never know how it will end up) 10. Get your suits/blazers/ties made! - - - - -Dont's: - - - - - 1. Thailand is all about respect and culture. Do not Say anything disrespectful about the King, queen, royal family or Buddhism. They are all held in very high regard and you should always be mindful/respectful of images, writings or any depictions of them. 2. Stay away from "Tuk Tuk's" - 1-2 for the first time is "OK". Thailand is all about maximizing the value of your money. 3. Eat street food that has been sitting around. Get freshly cooked(hot) food if possible to avoid getting sick. 4. Be overly afraid of street dogs(especially older ones). Just be cautious and you'll be fine. 5. Disrespect the culture and religion. When visiting any temples, don't point your feet towards the Buddha and women make sure you are well covered and no shorts. 6. Don't forget to take your shoes off when entering residences or temples. When in doubt, take them OFF. 7. Do not motion anyone anyone with fingers upward, use a downward movement. 8. Don't BUY much at malls that are available in your native country. You will spend more in a lot of cases and you will regret not having more unique Thai souvenirs. 9. Low ball vendors. The prices for items are already extremely reasonable and they will see it as somewhat disrespectful (will do a whole separate video about negotiating techniques). 10. Don't forget to bring and Wear sunblock and bug spray!
