BBC documentary - 'The Mormon Candidate' (Romney, LDS church). Also shunned or "post mormons" speak.

1st draught • A short clip from an interesting 1 hour documentary shown Tuesday 27 March 2012 (Britain) on Mormons, Mormonism and Mitt Romney, a wealthy politician. This is of interest to me. As regards the programme, it is revealing that one of the leaders had a slip of the tongue in calling President Obama, "Osama". Also it is of interest to me - other than the outlandish shunning pantomime, an obdurate religio-playact conducted and control managed also in the Jehovah's Witness Watchtower cult of practising 'shunning' of members. This is a silly, jesterish deprivation device to imply by gag, and to belittle & tactically diminish the person that they have fallen out of favour with something perceived as estimable and those holding up its (interpreted) value system. Do leaders or 'elders' get shunned? And is it ever given regard that bible directives note 'allow yourself to be wronged' as well as removing people from the 'church' by excommunication. Which one has precedence over the other?, how is the balance of those 2 dynamics arrived at.? Love the higher law, that believes and endures all things, is clearly relegated in the modern 'church', and i ask how and who is going to shun out these leaders who are 'shunning' members, members of their personal church whom ironically fulfil scripture by sinning. If love never fails, whereby a church 'elder' does, who checks their hand.? Who is there to extirpate the haughty from high office as they shepherd yet engage in shun-worthy behaviour.? Outright criminal lawbreaking on occasion. It may be that they are too busy removing undesireables from 'their personal church' for to check their officious selves, having any mind or pastoral view to measure themselves as being those foretold as having the form of a wolf in the clothing of a sheep. - It is of interest to me as 2 mormons came to my door not too long ago and said that Noah's ark, when it came to rest as the waters subsided, resting on mountains "and those mountains were the mountains that are in America". ! I was stunned. I confirmed what i was being told by 2 mormon 'elders', and again they said that Noah's ark rested on the mountains that are in America. They said to me "It doesn't actually say America in the bible, but that is what it means." They were saying that Noah's ark, after the flood, the global deluge, came to rest on the Rocky mountains in North America. Some 10 times. "We are 14 million and growing." That is no evidence of validity. Abstaining from tea, coffee and alcohol (explained in the programme) has no scriptural grounding. The bible speaks of 'moderation' and it does not make stipulations on beverages other than 'drunkenness'. Their own book of mormon is evidently put to the fore to the bible's exclusion. This is not compatible with the bible and the spirit in which it was written. Spying and shunning - those disowned - is strongly claimed to happen to members/ former members. The programme goes on to enlarge on this. This disowning && shunning is not denied by those who are in the mormon cult, and by people actually doing it.
