Plot
Rohit Kumar (Aamir Khan) is an aspirant playback singer while Kiran (Manisha Koirala) is a classical singer-in-training, but at inside aims to be some thing like Rohit. They meet, relate to each other's sentiments and fall in love. But when Kiran's parents oppose their marriage, they decide to lead a seperate life. However, after their marriage, Kiran's ambitions take a back seat as she feels suppressed by her household responsibilities and her child's look after. Time fails to abate Kiran's frustration until she decides to leave Rohit and start a new life all over again. Now-a-loner, Rohit is forced to look after both his son and his falling career on his own, and that too at the same time. After some obvious teething troubles, Rohit succeeds in creating a seperate world of their own with Sonu, his son. Meanwhile, Kiran incidentally becomes a huge film star. She then tries to reconcilliate but as luck would have it, Rohit, an ego-centric man, misinterprets her support as her pity and things become worse. Having had enough, Kiran decides to call the marriage off and also files a case demanding Sonu's custody. Rohit, unlike Kiran, faces a real tough time preparing for the case. But as case continues, Kiran realises Rohit's importance for Sonu and vice-versa. However, the court as expected gives orders in Kiran's favour. But in the end, Kiran decides to compensate for all her mistakes and Rohit and she decide to start afresh all over again.

MULCHAND
Moolchand was a prolific character actor in Hindi and Panjabi cinema who was active from 1951 to his death in the late-80s. He appeared in over 250 films. These films spanned the parallel cinema of Guru Dutt to the wrestler films of Dara Singh. He is known for his big girth.
The first known appearance of Moolchand is in 1951. That same year he also appeared in another film. These two films would correspond to two steady sources of film roles for Moolchand in their directors Guru Dutt and Raj Kapoor. Moolchand would go on to work in 5 more Guru Dutt films and 7 more Raj Kapoor films. Other supportive film people include Dev Anand, B. R. Chopra, Dara Singh and I. S. Johar who featured him in most of their movies.
Most of Moolchand's early roles were small ones. He only began to get significant roles in the 1960s. Padosan (1968) where he plays the servant of Om Prakash's character featured a lot of close-ups of Moolchand and showed him to be an able comedic side actor. This comedic side would be further explored in the 1970s with a scene stealing appearance in Yaadon Ki Baarat with fellow fatman Ram Avtar as a tortured businessman and in Don as the village medicine man who dances with Amitabh and beckons Zeenat Aman to participate.
Sanjay Dutt (born 29 July 1959) is a prominent Indian Hindi film star, producer and politician. Dutt, son of Hindi film actors Sunil Dutt and Nargis Dutt, made his acting debut in 1981. He has since featured in films that are amongst some of the most popular Hindi language films of the past three decades.
Dutt was born on 29 July 1959 to Bollywood megastars Sunil Dutt and Nargis and was educated at The Lawrence School, Sanawar. Dutt married the actress Richa Sharma in 1987. Sharma died of brain tumour. The couple have a daughter, Trishala, born in 1987, who lives in the United States with her grandparents, following a custody battle with Dutt after the death of his wife. Dutt's second marriage was to model Rhea Pillai in 1998. They divorced in 2005. Dutt married Manyata (also known as Dilnawaz Sheikh) in 2008 at a private ceremony in Goa, after two years of dating. On 21 October 2010, he became a father to twins, a boy named Shahraan and a girl named Iqra. He is well known for several altercations with the law, along with many other controversies throughout his life, as well as drug addiction in his early years.[citation needed] He spent 5 months in prison in late 1982 after being caught in possession of illegal substances, upon his release he spent 2 years in the United States, the majority of which was spent in a Texan rehab clinic before returning to India and resuming his career.
