Airbus SAS (English pronunciation: /ˈɛərbʌs/, French: [ɛʁbys] (
listen), German: [ˈɛːɐbʊs], Spanish: [airˈβus]) is an aircraft manufacturing subsidiary of EADS, a European aerospace company. Based in Blagnac, France, a suburb of Toulouse, and with significant activity across Europe, the company produces more than half of the world's jet airliners.
Airbus began as a consortium of aerospace manufacturers, Airbus Industrie. Consolidation of European defence and aerospace companies in 1999 and 2000 allowed the establishment of a simplified joint-stock company in 2001, owned by EADS (80%) and BAE Systems (20%). After a protracted sales process BAE sold its shareholding to EADS on 13 October 2006.
Airbus employs around 52,000 people at sixteen sites in four European Union countries: France, Germany, the United Kingdom and Spain. Final assembly production is at Toulouse (France), Hamburg (Germany), Seville (Spain) and, since 2009, Tianjin (People's Republic of China). Airbus has subsidiaries in the United States, Japan, China and India.

The A380 made its first flight on 27 April 2005 and entered commercial service in October 2007 with Singapore Airlines.

Two military pilots entered the cockpit of the Airbus A380 once again and made an unbelieveable flying display during the Paris Air Show 2015. I have seen this A380 flying performance for the third time now but I am still impressed to see this heavy plane doing these incredible manoevres
The Airbus A380 is a double-deck, wide-body, four-engine jet airliner manufactured by Airbus. It is the world's largest passenger airliner, and the airports at which it operates have upgraded facilities to accommodate it. It was initially named Airbus A3XX and designed to challenge Boeing's monopoly in the large-aircraft market. The A380 made its first flight on 27 April 2005 and entered commercial service in October 2007 with Singapore Airlines.

It` s time for another "versus" video. Some of you told me that I should compare the Boeing 777 with the Airbus A340. Took me some time to sum up the best clips of the B777 and A340 in my video collection.
The Boeing 777 hat its maiden flight in 1994. Since 1994 Boeing deliverd 1300 Boeing777`s. In comparison to that the Airbus A340 had its first flight in 1991. The A340 wasn` t as succesful as the Boeing 777 cause they only delivered 377 A340` s between 1991 and 2011. If I am honest I was extremly surprised because I thought Airbus delivered much more A340`s.
