"Domani" (Italian for "tomorrow") is a 1955 song written by Ulpio Minucci with lyrics by Tony Velona. The most popular version of the song was recorded by Julius LaRosa, released by Cadence Records as catalog number 1265. It first reached the Billboard magazine charts on July 13, 1955 and lasted 7 weeks on the chart, peaking at #13.
The song was rendered in French - retaining the title "Domani" - by Renée Lebas; a Finnish rendering: "Huomenna", was recorded by Maynie Sirén.
Another song of the same name was released by the Twilight Singers on the "Black is the Color of My True Love's Hair" EP and on Greg Dulli's 2005 album Amber Headlights.
Lucio Dalla Grand Officer OMRI (4 March 1943 – 1 March 2012) was a popular Italian singer-songwriter, musician and actor. He also played clarinet and keyboards.
Dalla was the composer of Caruso (1986), which has been covered by numerous international artists. A version of Caruso sung by Luciano Pavarotti sold over 9 million copies, and another version was a track on Andrea Bocelli's first international album Romanza, which later sold over 20 million copies worldwide. This piece is also on Josh Groban's album Closer, which sold over 5,000,000 copies in the United States. The song is a tribute to the emblematic opera tenor Enrico Caruso. Maynard Ferguson also covered the song on his album "Brass Attitude", after having previously paid tribute to Caruso with his rendition of Vesti la giubba (titled as Pagliacci) on the album "Primal Scream".
Dalla was born in Bologna, Italy. He began to play the clarinet at an early age, in a jazz band in Bologna, and became member of a local jazz band called Rheno Dixieland Band, together with the future film director Pupi Avati. Avati said that he decided to leave the band after feeling overwhelmed by Dalla's talent. He also acknowledged that his film, Ma quando arrivano le ragazze? (2005), was inspired by his friendship with Dalla. In the 1960s the band participated in the first Jazz Festival at Antibes, France. The Rheno Dixieland Band won the first prize in the traditional jazz band category and was noticed by a Roman band called Second Roman New Orleans Jazz Band: with them Dalla performed his first record in 1961, and had the first contacts with RCA records, his future music publisher.
Francis Albert "Frank" Sinatra, /sɨˈnɑːtrə/, (December 12, 1915 – May 14, 1998) was an American singer and film actor.
Beginning his musical career in the swing era with Harry James and Tommy Dorsey, Sinatra became an unprecedentedly successful solo artist in the early to mid-1940s, after being signed to Columbia Records in 1943. Being the idol of the "bobby soxers", he released his first album, The Voice of Frank Sinatra in 1946. His professional career had stalled by the 1950s, but it was reborn in 1953 after he won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in From Here to Eternity.
He signed with Capitol Records in 1953 and released several critically lauded albums (such as In the Wee Small Hours, Songs for Swingin' Lovers, Come Fly with Me, Only the Lonely and Nice 'n' Easy). Sinatra left Capitol to found his own record label, Reprise Records in 1961 (finding success with albums such as Ring-a-Ding-Ding!, Sinatra at the Sands and Francis Albert Sinatra & Antonio Carlos Jobim), toured internationally, was a founding member of the Rat Pack and fraternized with celebrities and statesmen, including John F. Kennedy. Sinatra turned 50 in 1965, recorded the retrospective September of My Years, starred in the Emmy-winning television special Frank Sinatra: A Man and His Music, and scored hits with "Strangers in the Night" and "My Way".
Baby K (October 13, 1992 – April 5, 1995) was an anencephalic baby who became the center of a major U.S. court case and a debate among bioethicists.
Stephanie Keene, better known by the pseudonym Baby K, was born at Fairfax Hospital in Virginia, USA. At the time of her birth, she was missing most of her brain, including the cortex; only the brainstem had developed during pregnancy, the portion of the brain responsible for autonomic and regulatory functions, such as the control of respiration, the heartbeat and blood pressure.
The baby's mother had been notified of her condition following an ultrasound, and had been advised to terminate the pregnancy by her obstetrician and neonatologist but chose to carry the child to term because of "a firm Christian faith that all life should be protected". The hospital's viewpoint was that care provided to the baby would be futile. The mother's viewpoint was that mechanical breathing support must be provided during the baby's periodic respiratory crises. Fairfax Hospital doctors strongly advised a do not resuscitate order for the child, which the mother refused. Stephanie remained on ventilator support for 6 weeks while Fairfax searched for another hospital to which to transfer, but no other hospital was willing to accept her. After the baby was weaned off constant ventilator support, the mother agreed to move the child to a nursing facility, but the baby returned to the hospital many times for respiratory problems.

Franco Marino / Mauro Malavasi
il tempo su di noi
non basta per capire
non basta mai domani
pensiamo che domani
qualcosa cambierÃ
e ci perdiamo ieri
il tempo su di noi
non basta per capire
se mi vuoi bene
amore
tremano le parole
la vita fa soffrire
non ci perdiamo
amore
In fondo seminiamo controvento
desideri e speranze
non so dove non so quando
questo fiore si apre al mondo
dove io vivrò per sempre io sarò
con te
Domani
tu pensi che domani
qualcosa cambierÃ
e ci perdiamo ieri
il tempo su di noi
non basta dire poi
quello che senti
Amore
non siamo mai contenti
e non ci basta mai
e non ci basta niente
Domani
pensiamo che domani
qualcosa cambierÃ
e ci perdiamo ieri
Translation:
Tomorrow
You know
The time we have
Is not enough to understand.
Tomorrow is never enough,
We think that tomorrow
Something will change,
And we get lost in yesterday
You know
The time we have
Is not enough to understand
If you love me.
Love,
the words tremble.
Life brings suffering -
let us not get lost,
love
In the end we're sowing
Desires and hopes into the wind;
I don't know where, I don't know when
This flower will open on to the world
Where I will live forever, where I will be
With you
Tomorrow -
You think that tomorrow
Something will change,
And we get lost in yesterday.
You know
The time we have
Is not enough to say
What I feel
Love,
We are never satisfied -
And it is never enough for us,
And nothing is ever enough for us.
Tomorrow -
We think that tomorrow
Mani che ci tengono vicini
sogni che ci mandano lontani
Lascia che la vita ci sorprenda
anche se significa dirsi addio
Non c'? mai un'ultima primavera
se si pu? rinascere, che avventura
e poi quando troverai
l'isola che non c'?
mi basta una cartolina
io sto bene
Ci porter? fortuna
non perderci di vista mai
domani, domani...
dietro la curva c'? il mare e le nuove stagioni del cuore, domani
domani...
ci inventeremo che cosa faremo da grandi domani
domani...
manca la luce un' istante ma niente finisce domani
domani
precipitare ti insegna a volare domani
domani...
precipitare ti insegna a volare domani
Vivere per vivere
perch? il mondo finir?
