Don't know what it's all about
But I have no doubt
It's something true
And simple
(it's very simple)
Like a sunny day
(like a sunny day)
I wouldn't give away one minute with you
(not a minute with you)
CHORUS
'Cause you're the only one
That's ever moved me at all
Played around and then I left you hanging on the wall
You have always been the one
To stimulate my mind
When I'm around you I don't look
I just find
You say "what is mine is yours"
Open all the doors
And come on inside
Tell me, are you comfortable?
(relax)
Is your belly full?
Are you feeling alright?
CHORUS
'Cause you're the only
That ever moved me at all
When I was feeling down
You made me stand up tall
You have always been the one
To give me piece of mind
When I'm around you I dont look
I just find
I don't look
But that's just fine
Play me all my favorite songs
I can sing along
Dance now, dance if you want to
Let it flow right through you
There is nothing I would rather do
CHORUS
'Cause you're the only one
That ever moved me at all
Played around and then I left you hanging on the wall
You have always been the one
To stimulate my mind
When I'm around you
I dont look
I had a dream the sky was set on fire
and a thousand different colours falling down
in my dream I was so inspired
I think it means a change is coming round
a change is coming round
I could see it all so very clear
looking through the bright eyes of a child
those storms raging all around
I could only see the other side
see the other side
for a while
I don't care what comes tomorrow
I'm alive
and that's all I need today
when I awoke colours began to fade
like a rainbow disappearing before my eyes
but somehow the inspiration still remains
I think it means a new day has arrived
a new day has arrived
for a while
I don't care what comes tomorrow
I'm alive
Daydream maker
tambourine shaker
dancing in silence
and there's music all around
yeah but it don't make a sound
watching your hands move
i don't understand you
I can't read your signs
yeah but I can read your mind
yeah I can read your mind
and now she's talking to me
explaining everything
with the touch of her hand
yes she's talking to me
I think I'll know what it means
I'll finally understand
want you to teach me
every word to reach me
cause magic insinde you
right behind those deep blue eyes
yeah right behind your eyes
and now she's talking to me
explaining everything
with the touch of her hands
yes she's talking to me
I think I'll know what it means
I'll finally understand
for every storm not tried to lead you
all the things that you have been through
hope you'll know I would like to
be the one that you can talk to
and now you're talking to me
with the touch of your hands
yeah you're talking to me
I think I know what it means
I finally understand
You are talking to me
with the touch of your hands
yeah you're talking to me
Hey there buddy, do you make a lot of money,
Wear the price tag out on your sleeve?
But don't give a fuck in your big black truck
But I noticed you were looking at me
Downtown-- run away from the house
'Cause the voices in your head start to scream and
shout
I don't care, I don't care, I don't care
I got money -- who needs fear?
Well maybe you were looking down on me
And maybe I got something to say
Your skin is too thin...
Oh won't you please
Break down for me
Now the sun doesn't rise and set for you
Even though I know that you can probably believe it's
true
Married to the firm I can hear the wedding bells
Drinking champagne all the while you're clocking sales
And on the inside you'll find no signs of life
No gets through, not even your wife
It's like a total eclipse, total eclipse, total eclipse
Oh, what you miss
Chorus
I'll tell you what -- I bleed when I'm cut
I got 29 stitches to prove
Now i'm not trying to bring you down
No, I just wanna make you move
On the outside my vibe is perfectly mellow
I can roll with the waves
I can slide like Jell-O
I don't care, I don't care, I don't care
I've got love, who needs fear?
It's a very strange ambition--
to be less than half alive
You don't know where you're goin'
but you sure do like to drive, yeah
And all along the highway
I spied creatures on their own
The rabbits and the reptiles
Sitting on a throne of a desert--empty and dry
All along the West side I see
Nothing but sky
No Barrier between
The Greatest Mind and Mine
The Universe is Open All the Time
In this constant repetition
I am looking for a feel
Something more than motion
Something positively real
And I'm staring in the rear view
Wishing I could see
Something more than just the lines
Something deep inside of me
CHORUS
Tumbleweeds and drifters
Never made a plan
Never stopped to wonder
They just roll across the land...
I can only speculate
About living in the dark
I would rather generate
A little light from a spark
And I---- I would like to shine
Yeah I---- I'm feeling sublime
Didn't hear what your mama said
Brought it home anyway
Hard to sleep when it's in your bed
You can't make it go away
And u---- u ain't got the time
U---- you're never gonna shine
All that you do
Comin' on back to you
Everything you do
Is comin' on back to you
I admit I have a fondness
For looking deep inside
Does it make you feel uncomfortable
Do you wanna run and hide?
I admit I am responsible
For all these things I do
I would like to see such honesty
Coming back from you
I heard ya talkin'
just the other day
you were sayin' things about a friend of mine
so I just walked away
But I heard the words you said
loud and clear
you were sayin' things
that just weren't right
about a friend of mind so dear
I heard ya talkin'
Some people out there
are always talkin' around
seems they're never really happy
unless they're puttin' somebody down
You know the thing they fear the most
is that someone's gonna see right through
Their thin disguise and made-up lies
it's sad, but true
All these things
that you say and do
in time they'll be comin' on back to you
Your Words
will be comin' on back to you
Nobody's perfect
least of all me
but it's time that you learn
time that you see
Your Words
will be comin' on back to you
Now don't you leave behind integrity
don't forget about the truth
don't lose the real meaning in emotional soup
Ask yourself a question-- just a thing or two
Some days I feel like crying
It don't matter if it's rain or shine
I feel like my heart was broken
At least a million times
Some days I wake up dreaming
Feels like I've never even woke
I answer life's big questions
As if it's one big joke
Maybe it's too soon to be sure
But I really do believe that someday
We're gonna have it all
So I try to hard to keep the rhythm of a train
Rolling right along
When the ride gets rough you got to carry on
Carry on
Some days I feel like singing
I sit back and just groove the day away
Maybe pick up a guitar
And play what I want to play
Maybe it's too soon to be sure
But I really do believe that someday
We're gonna have it all
So I try to hard to keep the rhythm of a train
Rolling right along
When the ride gets rough you got to carry on
Carry on
Today I feel like laughing
Seems to be no reason at all
And if the world stops spinning
I'm not afraid to fall
Maybe it's too soon to be sure
But I really do believe that someday
We're gonna have it all
So I try to hard to keep the rhythm of a train
Rolling right along
When the ride gets rough you got to carry on
Maybe it's too soon to be sure
But I really do believe that someday
We're gonna have it all
So I try to hard to keep the rhythm of a train
Rolling right along
When the ride gets rough you got to carry on
Do you believe in anything at all
Or has your world Grown too small
What did you get -- have you found it yet
What you came here looking for
It's all good for now
It's all wine and roses
One last hurrah
And then you know it's
the same
Push aside
All your foolish pride
It's 'bout time you let it go
You still believe in Grandpa Rock-n-Roll
Funk, Folk, R&B; and Soul
It's all good for now
It's all wine and roses
One last hurrah
'Til the century closes
Yeah it's all good for now
It's all wine and roses
One last hurrah
when the Truth Exposes
The Dream
is never what it seems
very slow you realize
It's just the same
as it ever was
What we need
is a little more love
What a ride
What seemed a great divide
You look back on somehow knowing
No regrets-- it ain't over just yet
It's 'bout time you just get going
Chorus
It's a very strange ambition--
to be less than half alive
You don't know where you're goin'
but you sure do like to drive, yeah
And all along the highway
I spied creatures on their own
The rabbits and the reptiles
