Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) is a public university in Oregon with a main campus, including two hospitals, in Portland. It was formed in 1974 as the University of Oregon Health Sciences Center, combining state dentistry, medicine, and nursing programs into a single center.
It was renamed Oregon Health Sciences University in 1981 and took its current name in 2001, as part of a merger with the Oregon Graduate Institute of Science and Technology (OGI), in Hillsboro. In addition, the university has several partnership programs including a joint PharmD Pharmacy program with Oregon State University in Corvallis.
The Willamette University School of Medicine, OHSU's earliest predecessor, was founded in the 1860s in Salem, and was relocated to Portland in the 1870s. In 1915, Willamette University and the University of Oregon merged their medical programs to form the University of Oregon Medical School, and in 1919 the school moved to its present location on Marquam Hill in Southwest Portland. The Oregon-Washington Railroad and Navigation Company donated 20 acres (8.1 ha) and C.S. "Sam" Jackson, publisher of the now-defunct Oregon Journal donated the remaining 88 acres (36 ha) to the school two years prior to the move after the property had been deemed unsuitable for the construction of a railroad yard.
Match Day is a football computer game, published by Ocean Software in 1984, originally on the ZX Spectrum and then later released on the Amstrad CPC, BBC Micro, & Commodore 64 systems. It is the first game in the Match Day series, and the title and opening music are references to Match of the Day. It was the creation of programmer Jon Ritman.
This video game was the first one where large moving footballers characters could dribble, throw-in, take corners, etc. on ZX Spectrum. The game uses modified sprites from a previous title Bear Bovver to create an almost isometric, but still ultimately side-on football title.
The game was included on the 1986 compilation They Sold a Million II, along with Bruce Lee, Match Point, and Knight Lore.
The game only has 2 teams Ritman Rovers and Clarke PR, but to change the names of the teams
The sequel, Match Day II was much the same but incorporated two features still used today in most football titles - a deflection system, the ball could bounce off players, which meant headers were possible, and a shot power system, although it was as easy to accidentally backheel the ball with this system, as it was to hit a powerful shot. The game is also similar to a previously, not published game by Jon Ritman, Soccerama.

March 17, 2011 was both an exciting and stressful day for 4th-year medical students at OHSU. Today was Match Day. It's the day that graduating medical school students receive envelopes containing their residency match: The location where they will serve their residencies. Some of our students will stay right here at OHSU. Some will travel to other parts of the state and some will head to other parts of the country entirely. This press release tells you how the process works. http://www.ohsu.edu/xd/about/news_events/news/2011/03-15-match-day-at-ohsu.cfm As for the students reactions to this morning's news...we're pleased to tell you that almost everyone seemed pretty happy. Here's a short video of the Match Day events.

This is a video that I took from the OHSU (Oregon Health and Science University) Center for Health and Healing on the waterfront of the Willamette river in beautiful Portland Oregon. The first part of the video is a view from the 16th floor which is the medical Dermatology clinic where I had my externship. The second part of the video is from the 5th floor. The music is provided by Ben Selvin's Knickerbockers - Playground in the Sky (1928) and Frank Crumit - I'm Sitting On Top Of The World (1925) Video taken on Monday, September 13, 2010.

Oregon Health and Science University's Department of Psychiatry has a unique and important place within the state of Oregon and within the Northwest region. It has used its capabilities to pursue some unusual missions in recent years, including the development of the Intercultural Psychiatry Program, an effort to recruit expert physicians at the Oregon State Hospital, and a partnership with OHSU's Advanced Imaging Research Center. APA TV went to Portland to learn more about these missions.
The team of specialists at Oregon Health and Science University Thyroid and Parathyroid Center treats all forms of Thyroid Disease. Its surgical specialists are bringing new ideas and innovations in endocrine surgery to the Pacific Northwest. One of their areas of expertise is minimally invasive parathyroid surgery. Their highly trained surgeons use ultrasound to find the diseased gland quickly…Then they can operate with little damage to other structures. It often allows the patient to go home the same day….with a much shorter recovery time.. http://www.ohsu.edu/xd/health/services/ent/services/thyroid-clinic/index.cfm

Off with your head
Dance 'til you're dead
Heads will roll, heads will roll
Heads will roll on the floor
Glitter on the wet streets
Silver over everything
The river's all wet
You're all cold
Dripping with alchemy
Shiver stop shivering
The glitter's all wet
You're all chrome
The men cry out, the girls cry out
The men cry out, the girls cry out
The men cry out, oh no
The men cry out, the girls cry out
The men cry out, the girls cry out
The men cry out, oh no
Oh, oh, oh, oh
Off, off with your head
Dance, dance 'til you're dead
Heads will roll, heads will roll
Heads will roll on the floor
Looking glass, take the past
Shut your eyes, you realize
Looking glass, take the past
Shut your eyes, you realize
Glitter on the wet streets

The glitter's all wet
You're all chrome, you're all chrome
Oh, oh, oh
