Thanks to everyone who's written or facebooked or twittered me something lovely about "Thanksgiving in Mongolia," which won the National Magazine Award for Essays and Criticism and will be included in the Best American Essays of 2014. I am working on a book based on that piece now.

I will be teaching an essay writing workshop at the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown, MA, this August 9-14.
