London Vauxhall Bridge - crossing it in my van recorded on my dashcam.

Vauxhall Bridge has been awful for ages and with CS5 going over the bridge some changes where needed. The interesting issue with this bridge is that northbound there is a bus lane on the left side of the road which cyclists use in relative safety. but going southbound the bus lane is in the centre of the road and you aren't allowed to use it, instead you have this incredibly narrow cycle lane which was barely as wide as your handlebars. As you can see from the previous videos of vauxhall bridge this caused some serious issues with large vehicles and cyclists.
With the updates we see a segregated cycle track that i believe is going to end up being two way. But this takes us well away from the motor traffic.
The width of this is a bit wider than the cycle track in hyde park through lovers lane. And whilst you need to wait for a spot to pass other cyclists, usually you can do so easily. And I suspect that will be the same here considering that most people will use it to get to and from work which involves going north and then south.

The first section is raised. I don't like the bumpy section at the crossing, slippery when wet. The bit after the lights has a raised curb to the left that is at 90degrees, the right has an angled curb but it is a straight raise of about 3-5cm.
Over all this is an improvement, it's a section of road I ride regularly and I look forward to this being much safer than it was.

Vauxhall (
/ˈvɒks.ɔːl/) is an inner city area of Central London in the London Borough of Lambeth. It was once in the historic county of Surrey.
It has also given its name to the Vauxhall Parliamentary Constituency, which also includes parts of Brixton and Clapham, and to the Vauxhall Motors car manufacturer, which originated in the area, as well as to the Russian word for a large railroad station (see below).
In 1998, Vauxhall became part of the borough's North Lambeth town centre, for local government administrative purposes.
It is generally accepted that the etymology of Vauxhall is from the name of Falkes de Breauté, the head of King John's mercenaries, who owned a large house in the area which was referred to as Faulke's Hall, later Foxhall, and eventually Vauxhall. The area only became generally known by this name when the Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens opened as a public attraction. Initially most visitors would have approached by river, but crowds of Londoners of all classes came to know the area after the construction of Westminster Bridge in the 1740s.

The first section is raised. I don't like the bumpy section at the crossing, slippery when wet. Space for cycling on Vauxhall Bridge?
Watch how the tanker in front doesn't fit in the lane. To give the cyclists the space they need, it needs to go well into the other lane. There isn't space for cycling here, there also isn't space for driving!! -

Vauxhall Bridge has been awful for ages and with CS5 going over the bridge some changes where needed. The interesting issue with this bridge is that northbound there is a bus lane on the left side of the road which cyclists use in relative safety. but going southbound the bus lane is in the centre of the road and you aren't allowed to use it, instead you have this incredibly narrow cycle lane which was barely as wide as your handlebars. As you can see from the previous videos of vauxhall bridge this caused some serious issues with large vehicles and cyclists.
With the updates we see a segregated cycle track that i believe is going to end up being two way. But this takes us well away from the motor traffic.
The width of this is a bit wider than the cycle track in hyde park through lovers lane. And whilst you need to wait for a spot to pass other cyclists, usually you can do so easily. And I suspect that will be the same here considering that most people will use it to get to and from work which involves going north and then south.

The first section is raised. I don't like the bumpy section at the crossing, slippery when wet. The bit after the lights has a raised curb to the left that is at 90degrees, the right has an angled curb but it is a straight raise of about 3-5cm.
Over all this is an improvement, it's a section of road I ride regularly and I look forward to this being much safer than it was.

Notice how much slack is in the chain Im very surprised it hadnt slipped a tooth or broke. I forgot to check how much travel was left on the tensioner piston after it made contact with the guide and tensioned the chain...........Looking at the video it looks like it could pop out of place at any time. This corsa has 130,000 kms on it. -

The colourful suburb of Vauxhall is located alongside the River Thames, not far from Central London and it’s the perfect place for a day out for all the family.
Vauxhall is home to the Secret Intelligence Service building, MI6. So, it's no surprise that Vauxhall was the birth place of James Bond. There's even a local school named after the top British spy.
History has played a significant part in the story of Vauxhall and looking around today, there are signs of the area’s past everywhere. From this wall, to these shops. Even this post box was made in the past.
Vauxhall, often known locally as Voho is known for its nightlife so while in the area I decided to go out and find myself a pretty girl. I had few drinks in Area, Union, The Eagle, Fire, The Hoist, and the Royal Vauxhall Tavern but there were barely any girls in sight… perhaps it was the X Factor final night and they were all at home watching Dermot Murnaghan and the gang.
I made loads of friends though, everyone is so friendly here especially Paulo. He wants to meet up again tomorrow and has an exciting day planned for us, something to do with cottages or something.
Getting to Vauxhall is easy, planes fly to Vauxhall International Airport frequently but the lack of a runway prevents them from landing. However, train, car or tricycle is also a good option. The cost of visiting any of Vauxhall’s nightclubs varies and poppers are available at an additional cost.

Glastonbury was discovered by Bruce Forsyth in 1967 and since then has become a popular destination, visited by thousands of people a year, namely the locals who have come to affectionately refer to the town as “home".
But Glastonbury isn’t just a town full of freaks and weirdos… I’m sorry, I read that wrong…. Glastonbury IS just a town full of freaks and weirdos and the high percentage of shops that sell products of no real use or value really makes that clear.
Take this shop for example which specialise in hemp screwdriver pouches.
One of the nicest things about Glastonbury is that all crime has been illegal here since 1997, making it one of the safest places in England. The tightened laws were brought in to effect after the murder Lord Alison Glastonbury in 1994. He was mutilated so badly that police could only identify the body by his anal records.
No trip to Glastonbury would be complete without a trip to Castle Greyskull which is where, legend has it, King Bruno sat and looked over the town while being pleasured by exotic Indian concubines. That was ages ago though, it’s empty now.

Many have accused Well’s residents of being xenophobic and intolerant of other cultures which is why it may surprise you that Wells was the first place in the UK to regular produce curry. The first one they brought out in England was the vegetable bhuna, other dishes followed in subsequent years.
No visit to Wells would be complete without a visit to Bakwell Manor, the former home of the late Mr Kipling. Guest to the manor house often report seeing the ghost of the famous baker who, in life, was exceedingly good at making cakes.

This corsa has 130,000 kms on it.
