Misfits II is the companion album to The Misfits' Collection I. Both compilations collect all the early singles and the entire Earth A.D./Wolfs Blood album, and are meant to complement Walk Among Us (not represented because Warner Bros. owns the rights) and Legacy of Brutality with little overlap. All the early singles are supposed to be represented, although alternative versions of some songs are used instead of the original releases.
Misfits II is controversial among fans because six of the tracks are not songs the Misfits recorded as a functioning band. They were recorded in 1986, several years after the Misfits broke up, by Glenn Danzig and Samhain bassist Eerie Von for a sequel to Walk Among Us.
"Cough/Cool" uses the drum track of the original Misfits version, but Danzig overdubbed guitar and drum machine tracks and new vocals. The song originally had no guitar at all, and was recorded when the Misfits were a three-piece of keyboards, bass and drums. The four Walk Among Us-era tracks ("Hate Breeders", "Braineaters", "Nike-A-Go-Go", and "Devil's Whorehouse") included on Collection II were also recorded at the same session, and featured no participation by any other Misfits. Jerry Only is adamant that "Braineaters" was recorded only once by the Misfits. "Mephisto Waltz" was rehearsed by the Misfits but never recorded by the band.
Beautiful is the third studio album by American singer-songwriter Vivian Green, released by E1 Music on April 6, 2010 in the United States. The album is heavily produced by Grammy- nominated long-time friend and collaborator Anthony Bell with an addition production cut from Jason Farmer. Beautiful is the album's leading single and was released February 23, 2010. The song entitled "Jordan's Song" is also a dedication to her son.
In its opening week, the album debuted at #101 on Billboard 200, #26 on R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, and #13 on Independent Albums. To date, the album has sold more than 22,061 copies.
Vehicles & Animals is the debut studio album by British indie rock band Athlete. It was released on 7 April 2003.
This album has been released with the Copy Control protection system in some regions.
Critical reaction to Vehicles & Animals was generally positive. Review aggregator Metacritic, which assigns a normalised score out of 100 to reviews from mainstream critics, awarded the album a rating of 63 based on 17 reviews, suggesting "generally favorable reviews".Time Out called the album a "gloriously understated and wonderfully consistent debut".Playlouder gave the record four out of five, hailing the tracks as "impeccably polished radio-friendly gems" – The Times similarly labelled the album a "British pop gem". Ben Gilbert of Dotmusic gave the album seven out of ten, describing the album as a "promising debut".
In 2003 the album was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize, an annual award honouring the year's best albums from the UK and Ireland – the prize was ultimately won by Boy in Da Corner by Dizzee Rascal. In December, British music magazine Q named Vehicles & Animals as the 32nd best album released that year, calling it "the year's best wobbly indie-rock album". In April 2005, the album was awarded platinum certification by the British Phonographic Industry for having sold over 300,000 units in the UK.
"Beautiful" is Mai Kuraki's thirty-second single, released on June 10, 2009. The single comes in two formats: limited CD+DVD edition and regular edition. It sold 29,446 copies in its first week and peaked at #2.
The title song, "Beautiful", is being used in Kose Cosmeport's "Salon Style" commercials since early June 2009.
To promote the single, Kuraki made her second appearance on TV Asahi's "Music Station" on June 12 as well as appearing on other TV programs such as NTV's "Music Fighter" and NHK's "Music Japan" on June 14. She also held four in-store events at Shinjuku's "Flags" (6/10), Tressa Yokohama (6/13), LaLaport Tokyo-Bay (6/13) and Nagoya's "Asunal Kanayama", entitled "Mai Kuraki 10th Anniversary Event: Beautiful", where Kuraki gave away postcard sets to audience members.
"Beautiful" debuted on the daily Oricon charts at #1 and stayed at the top for four days, however it only managed to rank at #2 on the weekly charts due to the unexpected boost in sales of Girl Next Door's "Infinity" on the last eligible day, which resulted in their first #1 charting single. "Beautiful" is Kuraki's second Top 3 entry in a row and her first single to reach the second spot in six years, since "Make My Day". With "Beautiful", Kuraki updated her own record for being the only female artist to have all of her 32 singles enter the Top 10.
Pluto (プルートウ, Purūtō) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Naoki Urasawa. It was serialized in Shogakukan's Big Comic Original magazine from 2003 to 2009, with the chapters collected into eight tankōbon volumes. The series is based on Osamu Tezuka's Astro Boy, specifically "The Greatest Robot on Earth" (地上最大のロボット, Chijō saidai no robotto) story arc, and named after the arc's chief villain. Urasawa reinterprets the story as a suspenseful murder mystery starring Gesicht, a Europol robot detective trying to solve the case of a string of robot and human deaths. Takashi Nagasaki is credited as the series' co-author. Macoto Tezuka, Osamu Tezuka's son, supervised the series, and Tezuka Productions is listed as having given cooperation.
Pluto was awarded the ninth Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize, an Excellence Prize at the seventh Japan Media Arts Festival and the 2010 Seiun Award for Best Comic. In France, it won the Intergenerational Award at the Angoulême International Comics Festival and the Prix Asie-ACBD award at Japan Expo in 2011. The series was licensed and released in English in North America by Viz Media, under the name Pluto: Urasawa x Tezuka. By 2010, over 8.5 million volumes of the manga had been sold.
The University of Central Lancashire (abbreviated UCLan) is a public university based in Preston, Lancashire, England. It has its roots in The Institution For The Diffusion Of Useful Knowledge founded in 1828. Subsequently known as Harris Art College, then Preston Polytechnic, then Lancashire Polytechnic, in 1992 it was granted university status by the Privy Council. The university is the 19th largest in the UK in terms of student numbers.
The Institution for the Diffusion of Useful Knowledge was founded in 1828 by Joseph Livesey's Temperance Society. The society was born from a pledge made by seven Preston working men (whose names can be seen on a plaque in the university's library) to never again consume alcohol.
The institute was housed in a classical-revivalist building on Cannon Street, before eventually expanding under the endowment of a local lawyer, Edmund Robert Harris, who died in 1877. The expansion brought with it several new buildings and houses in the nearby Regent Street were purchased and demolished as a consequence. The institute became a regional centre of excellence for the arts and sciences.

Echoes of despair
Ride along these
Ripples of air
Subatomic music
Eternally weaved
Into our presence
Those of us that abide
By the laws of harmony
Vibrate at the rate of nature
We are harmony, harmony
The hidden messages they hide
Resonate so deep inside
Apollo's legacy remains
In wordless tounges
Words of silence
Echo through the space
Subatomic music
Eternally weaved
Into our presence
Those of us that abide
By the laws of harmony
Vibrate at the rate of nature
We are harmony, harmony
The lines on your face
Are just the linear code
To a life that's been lived
Through your eyes
And bodies of lead
Were never meant to float
The voiceless rise unified
Through dissonant cries
Echoes resonate unified
From deafening
To nothing
Subatomic music
Eternally weaved
Into our presence
Those of us that abide
By the laws of harmony
Vibrate at the rate of nature
We are harmony, harmony
