Trillium stamineum (red trillium) is a plant in the trillium family, Melanthiaceae native to the southeastern United States.[2][3]
Description[edit]
Trillium stamineum, also known as the Propeller Trillium, is a herbaceous plant with whorled, marbled[disambiguation needed], simple leaves, on short, green stems. It is found in Alabama, Mississippi and Tennessee.[4] The flowers are dark red (some sources report more chocolate color), borne in spring.[5][6]
