This is Hitler... Now I know what you're thinking. Didn't Hitler have a different moustache than that? The Hitler you're thinking of did. This is Adolf Hitler's nephew, William. William Patrick Hitler was born in 1911 in Liverpool, England to Adolf Hitler's half-brother, Alois Hitler, jr. and his wife. In 1933, William went to Germany hoping to take advantage of his Uncle Adolf's rise to power. Uncle Adolf found him jobs at the Reich Credit Bank in Berlin and the Opel automobile factory, but William wasn't satisfied with these jobs. In frustration, he wrote his Uncle Adolf and threatened to sell embarrassing stories of the Hitler family. Adolf replied, "I will give you a high ranking job, but first you must renounce your British citizenship.” William refused and left Germany. Soon after, he immigrated to the United States and joined the U.S. Navy in 1944. After the war, William Hitler changed his name to William Stuart-Houston.

Años después, durante 1929, a los 18 años, William se trasladó junto a su padre al país bávaro. Lo que le permitió, cuando su tío Adolf asumió el poder, que él y su padre ocuparan un lugar importante en la sociedad nazi.
Se dice que el joven, sin éxito, trató de pertenecer a las élites nazis. Hay versiones que sostienen que Patrick había llegado a chantajear al Führer con divulgar sus supuestas raíces judías para así crecer en el aparataje nazi.
Ya en 1938 la relación no daba para más, Hitler solicitó a su sobrino a que renunciase a la nacionalidad británica con el fin de que este optará a un ascenso social. Ante este escenario, William consideró que era una trampa por lo que volvió a Inglaterra, donde publicó en la revista ‘Look’ su famoso artículo “Por qué odio a mi tío”.
Finalmente, William vivió los inicios de la II Guerra Mundial en Estados Unidos. Fue rechazado en el ejército estadounidense, pero sí fue admitido en 1944 como farmacéutico después de ser investigado. Durante 1947 fue herido y dado de baja del ejército. Al vivir en Estados Unidos decidió cambiar su apellido por el de Stuart-Houston, tuvo cuatro hijos. Al primero, curiosamente, le llamó Alexander Adolf.

According to German historian, Helmut Heilber: "The aberrational quality of the Hitler family beginning with the ambitious and enterprising father of Adolf shows that other blood must have entered the Lower Austrian Waldviertel stock which had been weakened by years of inbreeding."
Likewise, according to Walter Langer (1972) who was employed by the Office of Strategic Services to conduct a study of Hitler just before the war: "The intelligence and behavior of Alois, as well as that of his two sons (Alois Jr., and Adolf), is completely out of keeping with that usually found in Austrian peasant families. Their ambitiousness and extraordinary political intuition are much more in harmony with the Rothschild tradition."
Alois was not only ambitious and successful, but proud of his paternity--having a father who was wealthy and an aristocrat. Alois, in fact, chose a Jewish man to act as Adolf Hitler's godfather (Langer, 1972), and a Jewish doctor helped to deliver Hitler into this world.
Thus, the evidence strongly suggests that Alois was half Jewish and that Adolf Hitler was one quarter Jewish--a possibility vehemently rejected by Nazis and Jews alike.

Nazi war criminal Alois Brunner, who sent tens of thousands of Jews to their deaths during the Holocaust, went on trial in absentia on Friday for deporting hundreds of children to death camps.
Austrian-born Brunner, who fled to Syria and has not been seen in years, has already been sentenced to death in absentia twice in France.
The case that opened Friday focuses on the deportation to Auschwitz of 250 children from Jewish orphanages and 100 other children who were arrested at the same time.
Dozens of protesters gathered outside the Paris courthouse, many holding photos of deported children.
The deportations took place while Brunner was in command of the Drancy transit camp, north of Paris, where Jews were held and stripped of their assets before being sent to Auschwitz.
Before arriving in France, Brunner also helped wipe out the Jewish communities of Vienna and Salonica, Greece.
French Nazi hunter Serge Klarsfeld led the fight to bring Brunner to trial for the deportation of nearly 350 children in July 1944.
Of those, 284 died in gas chambers on July 31, the day of their arrival.
The trial may close a chapter in the life of the world-famous Nazi hunter, who expects this to be his last stand in the legal fight to bring senior Nazis to justice.
Klarsfeld and his German-born wife, Beate, have brought many war criminals to trial, such as Klaus Barbie, who was responsible for the torture-death of French Resistance leader Jean Moulin and the capture and deportation of 44 Jewish children hidden in the village of Izieu.
And there is another reason the case has special resonance for Klarsfeld - Brunner's SS arrested Klarsfeld's father in 1943 and sent him to Auschwitz, where he died.
Brunner was sentenced to death in absentia twice in 1954, in Paris and Marseille, but neither tribunal dealt with the specific crime that will be the focus of Friday's case: the deportation to Auschwitz on July 31, 1944 of 250 children from Jewish orphanages and 100 other children who were arrested at the same time.
Syria has always denied that it harbored Brunner.
But in 1987, the German news weekly Bunte published an interview with photographs of Brunner - then alias Georg Fischer - outside his villa in Damascus.
Since then, however, investigations have failed to determine if he is still alive.

Alois Hitler (born Alois Schicklgruber; 7 June 1837 – 3 January 1903) was an Austrian civil servant who was the father of Adolf Hitler.
Alois Schicklgruber was born in the village of Strones in the Waldviertel, a hilly forested area in northwest Lower Austria just north of Vienna, to a 42-year-old unmarried peasant, Maria Anna Schicklgruber, whose family had lived in the area for generations. After he was baptized at the nearby village of Döllersheim, the space for his father's name on the baptismal certificate was left blank and the priest wrote "illegitimate". Alois was cared for by his mother in a house she shared at Strones with her elderly father, Johannes Schicklgruber.
Sometime later, Johann Georg Hiedler moved in with the Schicklgrubers and married Maria when Alois was five. By the age of 10, Alois had been sent to live with Hiedler's brother, Johann Nepomuk Hiedler, who owned a farm in the nearby village of Spital. Alois attended elementary school and took lessons in shoe-making from a local cobbler. When he was 13, he left the farm in Spital and went to Vienna as an apprentice cobbler, working there for about five years. In response to a recruitment drive by the Austrian government offering employment in the civil service to people from rural areas, Alois joined the frontier guards (customs service) of the Austrian Finance Ministry in 1855 at the age of 18.

Adolf Hitler (German: [ˈadɔlf ˈhɪtlɐ] (

He was chancellor of Germany from 1933 to 1945 and dictator of Nazi Germany (as Führer und Reichskanzler) from 1934 to 1945. A decorated veteran of World War I, Hitler joined the German Workers' Party, precursor of the Nazi Party, in 1919, and became leader of the NSDAP in 1921. His aim was to establish a New Order of absolute Nazi German hegemony in continental Europe.

Soon after, he immigrated to the United States and joined the U.S. Navy in 1944. After the war, William Hitler changed his name to William Stuart-Houston.

Se supone, según las memorias de Dowling, cuñada del ex jerarca alemán, que Hitler habría estado con ellos, durante 1912, aunque los historiadores no lo han podido comprobar. Posteriormente, en 1914, tras arruinarse en varios negocios, Alois concluyó que era mejor volver a Alemania. No obstante, su mujer y el William Patrick permanecieron en Inglaterra.
Años después, durante 1929, a los 18 años, William se trasladó junto a su padre al país bávaro. Lo que le permitió, cuando su tío Adolf asumió el poder, que él y su padre ocuparan un lugar importante en la sociedad nazi.
Se dice que el joven, sin éxito, trató de pertenecer a las élites nazis. Hay versiones que sostienen que Patrick había llegado a chantajear al Führer con divulgar sus supuestas raíces judías para así crecer en el aparataje nazi.
Ya en 1938 la relación no daba para más, Hitler solicitó a su sobrino a que renunciase a la nacionalidad británica con el fin de que este optará a un ascenso social. Ante este escenario, William consideró que era una trampa por lo que volvió a Inglaterra, donde publicó en la revista ‘Look’ su famoso artículo “Por qué odio a mi tío”.
Finalmente, William vivió los inicios de la II Guerra Mundial en Estados Unidos. Fue rechazado en el ejército estadounidense, pero sí fue admitido en 1944 como farmacéutico después de ser investigado. Durante 1947 fue herido y dado de baja del ejército. Al vivir en Estados Unidos decidió cambiar su apellido por el de Stuart-Houston, tuvo cuatro hijos. Al primero, curiosamente, le llamó Alexander Adolf.

Nazi war criminal Alois Brunner, who sent tens of thousands of Jews to their deaths during the Holocaust, went on trial in absentia on Friday for deporting hundreds of children to death camps.
Austrian-born Brunner, who fled to Syria and has not been seen in years, has already been sentenced to death in absentia twice in France.
The case that opened Friday focuses on the deportation to Auschwitz of 250 children from Jewish orphanages and 100 other children who were arrested at the same time.
Dozens of protesters gathered outside the Paris courthouse, many holding photos of deported children.
The deportations took place while Brunner was in command of the Drancy transit camp, north of Paris, where Jews were held and stripped of their assets before being sent to Auschwitz.
Before arriving in France, Brunner also helped wipe out the Jewish communities of Vienna and Salonica, Greece.
French Nazi hunter Serge Klarsfeld led the fight to bring Brunner to trial for the deportation of nearly 350 children in July 1944.
Of those, 284 died in gas chambers on July 31, the day of their arrival.
The trial may close a chapter in the life of the world-famous Nazi hunter, who expects this to be his last stand in the legal fight to bring senior Nazis to justice.
Klarsfeld and his German-born wife, Beate, have brought many war criminals to trial, such as Klaus Barbie, who was responsible for the torture-death of French Resistance leader Jean Moulin and the capture and deportation of 44 Jewish children hidden in the village of Izieu.
And there is another reason the case has special resonance for Klarsfeld - Brunner's SS arrested Klarsfeld's father in 1943 and sent him to Auschwitz, where he died.

[Carl SCHMITT was the lawyer to Adolf HITLER - In 1921, SCHMITT became a professor at the University of Greifswald, where he published his essay Die Diktatur (on dictatorship), in which he discussed the foundations of the newly-established Weimar Republic, emphasising the office of the Reichspräsident. In this essay, SCHMITT compared and contrasted what he saw as the effective and ineffective elements of the new constitution of his country. To him, the office of the president could be characterized as a comparatively effective element within the new constitution, because of the power granted to the president to declare a state of emergency. This power, which SCHMITT discussed and implicitly praised as dictatorial, was seen as more in line with the underlying mentality of political power than the comparatively slow and ineffective processes of legislative political power reached through parliamentary discussion and compromise.
SCHMITT was at pains to remove what he saw as a taboo surrounding the concept of "dictatorship" and to show that, in his eyes, the concept is implicit whenever power is wielded through pathways outside the slow processes of parliamentary politics and the bureaucracy:
"If the constitution of a state is democratic, then every exceptional negation of democratic principles, every exercise of state power independent of the approval of the majority, can be called dictatorship."
For SCHMITT, every government capable of decisive action MUST include a dictatorial element within its constitution].

I based this fictional video on the work of Alice Miller and my own understanding of the effects of childhood trauma. The video is actual footage of Hitler speaking at a rally in 1937. The subtitles have come from my own imagination.
And for the record, I am half-Jewish. And Alice Miller was entirely Jewish, though she never admitted it in her lifetime. If you want to read her classic chapter analyzing Hitler's childhood, it is found in her book "For Your Own Good," published in 1980. 50 Jahre liegt die Hinrichtung des NS-Kriegsverbrechers Adolf Eichmanns zurück. Die letzten Augenblicke seines Lebens wurden festgehalten.
Adolf Eichmann sah seiner Hinrichtung gelassen entgegen. Nach dem Abendessen trank er noch eine halbe Flasche Wein und las zwei Briefe seiner Brüder. Dann beteuerte er in einem letzten Gespräch mit dem Pfarrer, der Tod sei eine Erlösung für ihn. Er habe "Frieden im Herzen", denn sein Glaube sei richtig gewesen. Reue zeigte er nicht.
Die letzten Minuten im Leben Eichmanns
Der dpa-Korrespondent Rudolf Küstermeier beschrieb die letzten Momente in Eichmanns Leben so:
"Der Pfarrer ging voran, als Eichmann den Todesraum betrat. Zwei Polizisten begleiteten den Todeskandidaten - einer rechts, einer links von ihm. Etwa 50 Meter weit war die Gruppe einen langen, schmalen Flur entlanggekommen, der von der Zelle Eichmanns zur Hinrichtungsstätte führte. Sie lag im dritten obersten Stockwerk des Gefängnisses von Ramleh (Ramla) bei Tel Aviv. Ursprünglich war die Hinrichtungsstätte ein Arbeitsraum für Gefängnisbeamte. (...)
Eichmann trug eine braune Hose und ein braunes offenes Hemd. Die Farbe ist dunkler als das Braun, was er früher getragen hatte. (...) Ohne Zögern oder Schwanken trat er auf die quadratische Platte, die sich später als Falltür erwies.
"Wollen Sie das?", fragte einer der Gefängnisbeamten und zeigte Eichmann eine schwarze Tuchmaske. "Nein, das brauche ich nicht", war Eichmanns Antwort.
Die Beamten banden ihm die Hände auf den Rücken. Da begann Eichmann plötzlich, mit ruhiger, aber bestimmter Stimme zu sprechen: "Es lebe Deutschland. Es lebe Argentinien. Es lebe Österreich. Das sind die drei Länder, mit denen ich am engsten verbunden war. Ich werde sie nicht vergessen. Ich grüße meine Frau, meine Familie und meine Freunde. Ich hatte den Gesetzen des Krieges und meiner Fahne zu gehorchen. Ich bin bereit."
Jetzt werden ihm die Füße zusammengebunden. Eichmann sagt: "So kann ich nicht stehen". Die Fesselung wird gelockert. Eichmann spricht abermals: "In einem kurzen Weilchen, meine Herren, sehen wir uns ohnehin alle wieder. Das ist das Los aller Menschen. Gottgläubig war ich im Leben. Gottgläubig sterbe ich."
"Fertig!" ruft einer der Beamten, die Hände und Füße gefesselt haben. Jetzt kommt von oben herunter die Schlinge, die das Ende eines dicken, unter der Decke über einem drehbaren Holzbalken laufenden Seiles bildet. Sie wird Eichmann um den Hals gelegt. Er bleibt ruhig wie vorher. Seine Augen schauen seitlich abwärts. Sie sind fast geschlossen. Er blickt niemand mehr an.
Ein zweites "Fertig". Jemand, der sich hinter einer mit einer dunklen Decke verhängten Verkleidung befindet und den wir deshalb nicht sehen, löst den Mechanismus aus, der die Falltür festhält. Ein Ruck. Das Seil läuft ab. Es kommt zur Ruhe. Das Todesurteil ist vollstreckt.
