Rebels in South Sudan have launched a large-scale attack on the strategic northern town of Malakal, the capital of Upper Nile State. Reports say fierce fighting is raging inside the town which situated in the oil-rich north. The attack began just before darkness on Friday, with rebels crossing the White Nile River on boats. It appears to be a major counter-attack against a several-weeks old offensive by government troops who have so far managed to repulse attempts by rebels to capture the town. hi viewers u r watching latest news Gunmen seize 89 boys from South Sudan camp Armed men have abducted at least 89 boys in South Sudan, the United Nations children's agency has said. The incident happened in a camp in the northern city of Malakal that hosts thousands of people displaced by fighting between the army and rebels. Unicef says the unidentified gunmen went from house to house and seized boys over the age of 12. Last week, Human Rights Watch accused both sides of using child soldiers, a charge denied by the government. The South Sudan conflict began in 2013 after President Salva Kiir accused his sacked deputy Riek Machar of plotting a coup. Mr Machar denied the allegation, but then raised a rebel force to fight the government. The UN believes 12,000 children were used as child soldiers across South Sudan last year. About 1.5 million people have been displaced by the fighting and 2.5 million are facing severe food shortages. South Sudan is the world's newest state, gaining independence from Sudan in 2011.

It could get worse in this young country, with the U.N. warning that South Sudan's economy is now threatened by rampant inflation as the central bank is allegedly printing money to meet a budget shortfall. Toby Lanzer, the U.N.'s top humanitarian official in South Sudan, said at a news conference on Tuesday that since December South Sudan's government has resorted to the "old trick" of printing money. Lanzer said in the capital Juba, "Printing money when there is nothing to back the value of that currency usually leads to hyperinflation." South Sudan's economy has suffered since the outbreak in December 2013 of fighting between supporters of President Salva Kiir and renegade troops loyal to his former deputy. Sudan's role in the radical Pan-Arab Islamic Conference represented a matter of great concern to the security of American officials and dependents in Khartoum, resulting in several drawdowns and/or evacuations of U.S. personnel from Khartoum in the early-mid 1990s. Sudan's Islamist links with international terrorist organizations represented a special matter of concern for the U.S. Government, leading to Sudan's 1993 designation as a state sponsor of terrorism and a suspension of U.S. Embassy operations in Khartoum in 1996. In October 1997, the U.S. imposed comprehensive economic, trade, and financial sanctions against the Sudan. In August 1998, in the wake of the East Africa embassy bombings, the U.S. launched cruise missile strikes against Khartoum. The last U.S. Ambassador to the Sudan, Ambassador Tim Carney, departed post prior to this event and no new ambassador has been designated since. The food court we visited was organized at Little Wood, a temporary urban garden in Berlin Mitte which serves as an experiment for metropolitans to explore urban nature. The Contemporary Food Lab, initiator of Little Wood, and Carson Chan, curator of the event, invited chefs from cultures we hear a lot about in the news recently to cook a typical summer dish from their home country. Food gives people direct insights into cultures, talking about food, its preparation and ingredients breaks the ice in conversations and makes us see countries as homes where people live and eat - just as everywhere else in the world. At Little Wood’s Food Court visitors had the chance to try „Borani“ from Iran, „Mujaddara“ from Palestine, „Kibbe“ from Irak, „Fried Manioc“ from Sudan, „Sabich“ from Isreal, „Borscht“ from Ukraine and more dishes from Tibet, Afghanistan and Syria- all chefs serving their food side by side to international visitors. Looking through some tapes, I came across this Dateline NBC show on an inestigation on the Sudanese "chemical factory" bombings by former US President Bill Clinton. I watched it today and the clues to the BS of the war on terror are here. YOU must watch and pay attention and then ask yourself a lot of questions. Also take note that they wondered if the US would have to be concerned about terrorism. You know what happen a few years later! How the media is able to predict things with the accuracy of a prophet is beyond me. Also take note of the Pakistan connection. I am sure that with ALL of the terror issues, Pakistan ALWAYS comes up, but yet there is no war with them. That is curious. The US goes to war with countries who are not involved, but leave thoese who ARE involved alone. Mmmm.... After this Times Square BS (it IS BS), that is just a "reminder" to us that terroism is not gone and we should be prepared for the big one that will have to lead us into war with Iran. Do you really think that after all that the US did (9-11 and other terror events) to surround Iran for Israel that they are just going to leave? They WILL attack iran, it is just a matter or when and what excuse they need. They already tried the "social unrust" tactic, but Iran did not fall for it. They keep talking about the nuclear issue, but so far it is not enough to justify war to the rest of the world. Just be on the look out and remember - if it does not make sense, it does not make sense! Also remember that something has to happen in order for the US to go to war with Iran, so keep that in mind also. These are the same dirty tricks since the CIA was founded and it does not matter who the presidents were/are, they are all on the same team - except the one who was shot in Dallas!

Founder of the militant organization al-Qaeda, Osama is claimed responsible for the tragic September 11 attacks on the United States that killed thousands of civilians and militaries. He believed that Muslims should kill the civilians and military personnel of the United States and allied countries until they withdrew support for Israel and military forces from Islamic countries. He was also charged by the United States federal court for his involvement in the 1998 U.S. embassy bombings in Dar es Salaam Tanzania and Nairobi, Kenya and was on the U.S. FBI’s Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list. The Emir studied at a university in the country till 1979 and joined mujahideen forces in Pakistan to fight against the Soviet Union in Afghanistan. He is known for funding the mujahideen with funneling arms, money and fighters from the Arabian areas into Afghanistan. After the formation of al-Qaeda, he was banished from Saudi Arabia in 1992 and created a base in Sudan until U.S. pressure forced him to leave Sudan in 1996. This made him establish a new base in Afghanistan from where he declared a war against the United States. Bin Laden was listed on the Ten Most Wanted Fugitives and Most Wanted Terrorists of the American Federal Bureau of Investigation's (FBI) for his involvement in the 1998 U.S. embassy bombings. Bin Laden was an idol of the Arab world for his contribution in training the jihadi fighters and establishing the Maktab al-Khidamat. However, Osama's need for more military roles urged him to split from the organisation and create al-Qaeda. Following the Soviet Union's withdrawal from Afghanistan in February 1989, Osama bin Laden returned to Saudi Arabia in 1990 as a hero of jihad. Along with his Arab legion, he was thought to have "brought down the mighty superpower" of the Soviet Union. Bin Laden was well-linked with the Egyptian Islamic Jihad (EIJ) during his mujahideen operations in Khartoum, Sudan, which made up the core of al-Qaeda. The greatest terror attack involving Osama bin Laden is considered to be that of September 11, 2001 in the United States. It comprised of hijacking the four commercial passenger aircraft - United Airlines Flight 93, United Airlines Flight 175, American Airlines Flight 11 and American Airlines Flight 77 in order to fly two into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York City and the third into the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia, destroying the former and severely damaging the latter. The fourth aircraft, which was either intended to target the U.S. Capitol or the White House, crashed in Shanksville, Pennsylvania with no survivors. The 9/11 terror attack killed a total of 2,996 people including 2,191 civilians, 71 law enforcement officers and 343 firefighters who were in the World Trade Center and the surrounding area. From 2001 to 2011, bin Laden was a major target of the War on Terror, as the FBI placed a $25 million bounty on him in their search for him. Right from the presidency of George Walker Bush to that of the present Barack Obama, several projects were created to capture Osama until “Operation Neptune Spear” was carried out by the Central Intelligence Agency during the Obama administration. Barack Obama had pledged, “We will kill bin Laden. We will crush al-Qaeda. That has to be our biggest national security priority.” On May 2, 2011, the White House announced that U.S. Navy SEALs had successfully carried out the operation, killing him in his private residential compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan. According to reports, Bin Laden married at least five women and later divorced the first two. According to Wisal al Turabi, he married them because they were “spinsters,” who “were going to go without marrying in this world. So he married them for the Word of God”. He is the father of about 24 children including Omar, Saad and Mohammed Babrak bin Laden who married the daughter of the former al-Qaeda military chief Mohammed Atef. Characterized by vicious acts of violence, forced conversions, kidnappings and beheadings, their campaign of terror is projected into our homes on a nightly basis via the news or other forms of media. But what is ISIS, how did they evolve, how do they operate, and to what extent do they accurately reflect the fundamentals of Islamic faith and ideology? This profoundly pertinent topic serves as the basis for the documentary titled ISIS: "Islamic" Extremism?, a thoughtful examination of a movement which has managed to generate ire and occasional support from citizens across every corner of the globe. Classified as a terrorist organization by the United Nations, ISIS is a rebel group composed of radicalized Islamists who have conquered scattered regions throughout the Middle East, and seek to take control of many others. Their formation and rise to dominance came on the heels of the American-led war on terror, which resulted in the dethroning of al-Qaeda from the region. I went downstairs just to say hello to some of the people on the Joint Staff who used to work for me, and one of the generals called me in. He said, "Sir, you've got to come in and talk to me a second." I said, "Well, you're too busy." He said, "No, no." He says, "We've made the decision we're going to war with Iraq." This was on or about the 20th of September. I said, "We're going to war with Iraq? Why?" He said, "I don't know." He said, "I guess they don't know what else to do." So I said, "Well, did they find some information connecting Saddam to al-Qaeda?" He said, "No, no." He says, "There's nothing new that way. They just made the decision to go to war with Iraq." He said, "I guess it's like we don't know what to do about terrorists, but we've got a good military and we can take down governments." And he said, "I guess if the only tool you have is a hammer, every problem has to look like a nail." So I came back to see him a few weeks later, and by that time we were bombing in Afghanistan. I said, "Are we still going to war with Iraq?" And he said, "Oh, it's worse than that." He reached over on his desk. He picked up a piece of paper. And he said, "I just got this down from upstairs" -- meaning the Secretary of Defense's office -- "today." And he said, "This is a memo that describes how we're going to take out seven countries in five years, starting with Iraq, and then Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and, finishing off, Iran." I said, "Is it classified?" He said, "Yes, sir." I said, "Well, don't show it to me." And I saw him a year or so ago, and I said, "You remember that?" He said, "Sir, I didn't show you that memo! English/Nat The outgoing U-S Ambassador to the United Nations, Bill Richardson, defended Washington's decision to launch military strikes on Afghanistan and Sudan. He refuted Sudanese denials that a pharmaceutical factory in Khartoum had been producing chemical weapons. On Monday, Richardson took up his new post as U-S Energy Secretary. Bill Richardson held a news conference to mark his first day as U-S Energy Secretary. But until his replacement, Richard Holbrooke, takes over in September, Richardson still holds his old post as U-S Ambassador to the United Nations. He was repeatedly asked to respond to the U-S military strikes on what it claimed were terrorist bases in Afghanistan and a chemical weapons factory in Sudan. The attacks have been the subject of bitter international criticism. Sudan has claimed that the factory which was hit by a U-S cruise missile was an innocent pharmaceuticals plant and has called on the U-N to send a team to investigate the incident. Richardson's deputy said on Monday this was unnecessary - as the U-S already has evidence to prove its claims. And the outgoing US-UN Ambassador defended the attacks, insisting that the raids had struck the first blow in the fight against international terrorism. SOUNDBITE: (English) "We believe that we struck very strongly on some of those training and base operation targets in Afghanistan. We believe conclusively that, in the so-called pharmaceutical plant, that there are chemical precursors that lead towards the manufacture of VX. That has been destroyed, and we believe that the mission has been successful. But it's not over." U-S embassy staff in Pakistan were last week recalled to Washington for their own safety in response to such a threat. SOUNDBITE: (English) "I think as Americans we should be aware that there's a heightened risk, but at the same time, the President is ordering the FBI, the FAA, our law enforcement agencies to do everything they can to protect the American people. 04/05/2012 Videos posted by Harper's Magazine show the private contractor formerly known as Blackwater in Iraq running over a woman with a car, smashing into Iraqis' cars to move them out of the way and firing a rifle into traffic. The behavior by Blackwater seen in the videos adds even more fuel to evidence that the company "encouraged and rewarded the destruction of Iraqi life." The videos are included in a piece by Charles Glass entitled "The Warrior Class" that looks at the rise of private security contractors. Glass had been shown the videos by a former Blackwater employee. Describing the video dated April 2006 that shows a woman being hit by a Blackwater vehicle, Glass writes: "A woman in a black full-length burka began to cross the street. The vehicle struck the woman and knocked her unconscious body into the gutter. The cars slowed for a moment, but did not stop, nor did they even determine whether the victim was dead or alive. A voice in the car taking the video said, 'Oh, my God!' Yet no one was heard on the radio requesting help for her. Most sickeningly, the sequence had been set to an AC/DC song, whose pounding, metallic chorus declared: 'You've been... thunderstruck!' " Glass writes that the tape he was shown ended with the inscription, "In support of security, peace, freedom and democracy everywhere." Over the past year, thousands across CAR have been killed and nearly a million have been displaced. The United Nations recently stated that the entire Western half of the country has now been cleansed of Muslims. CAR has never fully recovered from France's colonial rule, and it has only known ten years of a civilian government - from 1993 to 2003 - since achieving independence in 1960. Coup after coup, often with French military involvement, has led many to refer to the country as a phantom state. The current conflict has now completely erased the rule of law and order, and left the UN and international community looking confused and impotent. In March 2013, the Séléka, a mostly Muslim rebel alliance, rose up and overthrew the corrupt government of François Bozizé, while bringing terror and chaos across the country - pillaging, killing and raping with impunity. In response, mostly Christian self-defense forces, called the anti-balaka, formed to defend CAR against Séléka attacks. Clashes grew more frequent throughout 2013 as the Séléka grew more ruthless. In December 2013, French and African troops went in to disarm the Séléka and staunch the bloodshed. The anti-balaka, seizing on a weakened Séléka, then went on the offensive. CAR had no real history of religious violence, and the current conflict is not based on any religious ideology. The fighting, however, turned increasingly sectarian in the fall of 2013, with revenge killings becoming the norm. And as the Séléka's power waned, the anti-balaka fed their need for revenge by brutalizing Muslim civilians. "Too few peacekeepers were deployed too late; the challenge of disarming the Séléka, containing the anti-balaka, and protecting the Muslim minority was underestimated," Human Rights Watch said in a recent statement. The bloodshed has not stopped. The UN is still debating whether or not to send peacekeepers. Even if a peacekeeping operation is approved, it will take six months for troops to be assembled. Enormous caravan trains once traversed the Sahara Desert that extends for nine million square kilometres and is the largest desert in the world. Just a few kilometres beyond Sudan’s metropolis of Khartoum in Omdurman is the splendid burial place of the famous 19th century Islamic leader, Al Mahdi, one of the most important exponents of Sufism. It was also Al Mahdi who invaded Khartoum, a city founded by the Egyptians that was later ruled by the British. In the 19th century the infamous warriors of the Hadendoa people were also the courageous soldiers of Al-Mahdi´s army. Today they live in the environs of the Red Sea Mountains where the camel is the only means of transport. Those travelling across the Sahara have always had to cope with the savage climate of the desert and in ancient times, as well as today, the overwhelming heat saps the strength of both man and beast as the daytime temperature can reach a scorching fifty five degrees Celsius. At the foot of the mountain range that we must cross in order to travel deep into the homeland of the Hadendoa we meet a group of wood gatherers. In addition to the trading of camels and goats, the gathering and selling of wood is one of the main sources of income for this unique nomadic people. Without a sound several mounted Hadendoa warriors have approached us. The atmosphere is anything but relaxed and our uncertainty seems to please the warriors who, mounted on camels, are truly menacing. In the past the British army also experienced the wrath of these people. The looks on the faces of the Hadendoa further increases the tension. Finally, after what seems like several minutes, we tentatively step forward. In broken Arabic we try to explain to the warriors that we have journeyed far to meet them. Our initial scepticism is replaced by a long and amicable handshake with their leader that sets our fears to rest. South Sudan is only four years old, but the world's youngest nation tops the rank of failed states worldwide. After decades of conflict with its neighbour Sudan, long-sought autonomy in 2011 was meant to be a dream come true, but the country has been wracked by violence ever since. Thousands of people have been killed, and over a million displaced, as President Salva Kiir battles his rival, rebel leader and former vice president, Riek Machar. Amid the chaos, rising inflation and poverty has left 3.8 million people without enough food - raising the spectre of famine. Despite its vast oil reserves, the country is producing at only one-third of its oil capacity, compared with levels from 2011, and the government is earning only $10 per barrel compared to the international price of $60. Also on Counting the Cost: Behind Saudi Arabia's stock market opening; the future of Afghanistan's lamb farmers; and the rise of Formula E. Catherine Soi reports from Juba on the local businesses that are suffering due to the lost revenue.

PROFIL SINGKAT BEBERAPA UNIVERSITAS DI SUDAN A. Profil Singkat Kampus International University of Africa- Negara Republik Sudan. Kampus International University of Africa merupakan salah satu Universitas Swasta dibawah kementrian Riset & Perguruan Tinggi di Sudan. namun awal mula didirikan kampus ini masih berstatus Instute Agama Islam Africa yang secara khusus untuk orang-orang Africa dalam jenjang pendidikan SMP/MTS dan SMA/MA pada tahun 1966. Bertahap mulai transisi dari Instute Agama Islam Africa hingga menjadi ke Islamic Center of Afrika pada tahun 1977. Lambat laun melihat perkembangan perguruan tinggi didunia islam sangat dibutuhkan , hingga pada tahun 1991 pemerintah sudan berinisiatif untuk diluncurkan sebuah kampus atau Universitas Islam diAfrica , dan pada saat yang sama negera-negara teluk merespon apa yang di inginkan oleh Pemerintah Sudan pada saat itu.. diantaranya: Arab Saudi, Mesir, Kuwait, Libya,Qatar,UEA (Dubai) dan Kerajaan Maroko. hingga saat ini menjadi nama asli International University of Africa yang bertempat di ibukota Negera Sudan yaitu, Khartoum.sejak berdiri pada tahun 1966 dengan berbagai perobahan kampus ini sudah hampir 16 Fakultas baik di dalam negeri maupun diluar sudan. Universitas Islam Omdurman merupakan salah satu Universitas Negeri dbawah Kementrian Riset dan Perguruan Tinggi Sudan. awal mula terbentuknya nama Kampus ini dimulai pada tahun 1901 yang diawali dengan perkumpulan sekelompok para ulama dan para pemikir ilmu pengetahuan Sudan pada saat itu. untuk mendirikan sebuah lembaga Islam. diantaranya mendirikan Lembaga Studi Islam dan Ilmu Bahasa. sehingga pada tahun 1912 M. resmi menjadi sebuah kampus. yang kedua disudan setelah Universitas Khartoum.hingga saat ini udah hampir 100 tahun kampus ini sudah hampir memiliki 19 Facultas dan 5 lembaga pusat penelitian lainnya baik didalam Negeri hingga diluar Sudan. sejak berdiri hingga saat ini sudah 19 Facultas dan Lembaga Riset. Universitas of Bakhtalruda adalah sebuah Universitas di kota Ad Douiem , di Provinsi NIl Abyad (Nil Putih), antara Kota Khartoum dan Kosti dengan perjalanan sekitar 3 Jam dengan Mengunakan angkutan Umum. Universitas Negeri ini didirikan berdasarkan keputusan konstitusional yang dikeluarkan oleh Presidensi Republik Sudan ( Umar Hasan Al Basir) pada 2 Shawal 1417 , atau 1 Maret 1997. dan Ini adalah sebuah universitas anggota dari Federasi Universitas Dunia Islam.
