A teacher or schoolteacher is a person who provides education for pupils (children) and students (adults). The role of teacher is often formal and ongoing, carried out at a school or other place of formal education. In many countries, a person who wishes to become a teacher must first obtain specified professional qualifications or credentials from a university or college. These professional qualifications may include the study of pedagogy, the science of teaching. Teachers, like other professionals, may have to continue their education after they qualify, a process known as continuing professional development. Teachers may use a lesson plan to facilitate student learning, providing a course of study which is called the curriculum.
A teacher's role may vary among cultures. Teachers may provide instruction in literacy and numeracy, craftsmanship or vocational training, the arts, religion, civics, community roles, or life skills.
A teacher who facilitates education for an individual may also be described as a personal tutor, or, largely historically, a governess.
Theodor Seuss Geisel ( /ˈɡaɪzəl/; March 2, 1904 – September 24, 1991) was an American writer, poet, and cartoonist most widely known for his children's books written under the pen names Dr. Seuss, Theo LeSieg and, in one case, Rosetta Stone.
He published 46 children's books, which were often characterized by imaginative characters, rhyme, and frequent use of anapestic meter. His most celebrated books include the bestselling Green Eggs and Ham, The Cat in the Hat, One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish, Horton Hatches the Egg, Horton Hears a Who!, and How the Grinch Stole Christmas!. Numerous adaptations of his work have been created, including 11 television specials, four feature films, a Broadway musical and four television series. He won the Lewis Carroll Shelf Award in 1958 for Horton Hatches the Egg and again in 1961 for And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street.
Geisel also worked as an illustrator for advertising campaigns, most notably for Flit and Standard Oil, and as a political cartoonist for PM, a New York City newspaper. During World War II, he worked in an animation department of the United States Army, where he wrote Design for Death, a film that later won the 1947 Academy Award for Documentary Feature.
Plot
With his family struggling to survive in late1890s Norway and his father leaving on a ship for America to earn much needed money, 10-year-old Yohan devises some plans of his own to help his family. However, his jealous older brother has other ideas, and, unbeknown to their parents, he signs a contract with an agent for Yohan to become a farm laborer. Now consigned to being a child wanderer, Yohan is sent off to work on a faraway farm providing cheap labor. Yohan embarks on a long, rugged journey filled with danger, loneliness and feelings of abandonment. Along the way, he meets up with two other child wanderers, 8 year-old Anna and her younger brother. Together with other child wanderers and led by the menacing boy Aslak, the group makes its way on foot through the countryside with Yohan finally arriving at the farm where he is told to work. He becomes a shepherd boy, protecting the farmer's livestock from wolves and grizzly bears. His boss, Nome, is a harsh disciplinarian and a tough man to please. Following his heart and with good intentions, Yohan makes decisions that are misunderstood by local adults and are sabotaged by other envious children. Unjustly accused, he is punished and beaten by Nome. Events only get worse, with wild animals attacking Nome's herd on Yohan's watch and Yohan's discovery that his friend Anna and her brother have been beaten at a neighboring farm. Using his resourcefulness and ingenuity, a battered Yohan sets out to help his friend Anna and her brother escape from the farm owners.

Plot
The four years in the lives of some students in one class, from their entrance audition to their graduation, at New York City's High School for the Performing Arts (P.A.) is presented. Upon their entrance, the disparate group have a few things in common: they've got "big dreams" and they "want fame". Some have natural talent, some have had to obtain talent through hard work and training, and some show only some promise which the teachers hope will materialize into true talent. Some have full support from their parents, some have support from their parents but only for the parents' specific dreams, and some have little or no parental support whatsoever. Some have formal training, some not. Some are confident of what they can do, some believe they are limited and are at school to expand those talents, while others have no confidence whatsoever. And some are clear about where they want to "be" after graduation, while some want to explore whatever other opportunities may arise for them through this experience. During their four years, some will try to learn whatever they can from their teachers, while some will butt heads with the teachers over creative differences. Some will focus on what they entered the school for, while some will explore other hidden talents. Some will blossom, while some will stagnate. Unlike their counterparts from thirty years earlier, they are allowed to find work in the performing arts while at P.A. Most will find that there are many pitfalls in looking for work - whether it be hired work or having their own work produced - especially as they are inexperienced and may want fame at any cost. And some will not make it to the end of the four years for differing reasons. After graduation, some will move onto the next phase of their pursuit of fame, while others know this juncture is the end of the line for their dream. And some will have formed life long bonds with their friends from P.A., while others know they will lose touch with their colleagues out of circumstance.

Mr. James Dowd: Everything you're ashamed of, all the parts of yourself that you keep secret, everything you want to change about yourself - it's who you are. That's your power. Deny it and you're nothing.
Jenny Garrison: There are some things success is not. It's not fame. It's not money or power. Success is waking up in the morning so excited about what you have to do that you literally fly out the door. It's getting to work with people you love. Success is connecting with the world and making people feel. It's finding a way to bind together people who have nothing in common but a dream. It's falling asleep at night knowing you did the best job you could. Success is joy and freedom and friendship. And success is love.

Plot
Kevin Bailey is the new kid in school, he's shy in his new surroundings and feels like an outsider. After school he gets on his first bus ride home and meets a girl who befriends him. When the girl drops her pencil, Kevin picks it up, as he gets ready to return it to her she is no longer there. As he gets off the bus he looks at the name on the pencil, which reads Tracy Donnelly. Latter that night he finds out that the house he and his family have just moved into is the old Donnelly house, it seems the Donnely's moved out because their daughter Tracy died in a school bus accident and the house held to many memories for them to stay. Kevin then realized the girl who befriended him on his ride home was in fact the ghost of Tracy. The next day he sees Tracy again and they become friends, this time she gives him a pamphlet on school bus safety to read. It seems there is another school bus crash coming up and Kevin must take the lead in helping the other students before it's to late.

Plot
An anxious teacher (played, as is the lead role in all his films, by the director) sits in a beer garden on the hill of the Andechs monastery. While flies drown in his mug of beer, he confronts a life of failure: the wife he ignored, the child he neglected, the teaching duties he has shirked, and his doomed efforts at winning tenure from school officials. Only a dream from the past-the memory of a former liaison with a film star with whom he shared "the Andechs feeling, a feeling that we are not alone" - provides sustenance. Despite an unexpected series of events, longing in Achternbusch's world ultimately remains stronger than fulfillment and thirst better than beer.

Techer oh teacher, tell me where do we go from here
Am I gonna miss my mignight lessons
Now you're moving away from here?
Teacher oh teacher, with your hair hanging over your eyes,
Guess I'm gonna have to stay after school
To try and make you realize.
That, I don't like changes you know...
So teacher don't go
teacher don't go.
Teacher oh teacher, it's a while since you began,
Giving me extra lessons at home
Yhen you had me in the palm of your hand,
I was so open I couldn't read in between the lines,
Now you're a drug that I ought to give up
But I'm taking you all the time,
And I don't like changes you know...
So teacher don't go
teacher don't go.
Ten out of ten you have my regular attention.
Letely I'm not scared of staying in detention.
Teacher oh teacher, tell me what am I gonna do?
I know I'm just a silly child in your eyes
But I really am in love with you.
Can you imagine all the things that I'm going through
And if I say that I'm gonna be sad
Then you know that every word is true...
And I don't like changes you know...
So teacher don't go
I've had enough of danger
People on the streets
I'm looking out for angels
Just tryin' to find some peace
I think it's time that you let me know
So if you love me, say you love me
But if you don't just let me go
'Cuz teacher there are things that I don't want to learn
And the last one I had made me cry
So I don't wanna learn to hold you, touch you
I think that you are mine
Because there ain't no joy for an uptown boy
Whose teacher has told him goodbye, goodbye, goodbye
When you were just a stranger
And I was at your feet
I didn't feel the danger
Now I feel the heat
That look in your eyes tellin' me no
So you think that you love me
Know that you need me
I wrote this song, I know it's wrong
Just let me go
Teacher there are things that I don't want to learn
And the last one I had made me cry
So I don't wanna learn to hold you, touch you
I think that you are mine
'Cuz there ain't no joy for an uptown boy
Whose teacher has told him goodbye
So when you say that you need me
That you'll never leave me
I know you are wrong, you are not that strong
Let me go
Teacher, there are things that I still have to learn
But the one thing I have is my pride
Oh, so I don't wanna learn to hold you, touch you
I think that you are mine
Because there ain't no joy for an uptown boy
Who just isn't willing to try
I'm so cold inside
Let the bedroom
Be a classroom
A couple of questions
I'm a ask you
Let me walk up
To the chalkboard
Skip the instructions,
I wanna be hands on
When the bell rings,
Tell me that you'll stay
I'll learn a lot more
If you stay ohh
If you demonstrate it slow,
I swear I won't forget it
Anymore I won't
Say no, I'll learn it
From my baby all day
To show me,
Show me how to love
Baby will you be my,
Teacher,
Teach me how to love
Baby I need ya
It's as simple as a b c,
As easy as 1 2 3
Will you be my teacher?
Show me
All the different ways
To please ya
It's as simple as a b c,
As easy as 1 2 3
(Will you be)
Make me playdate lover
Do it, how you do it,
Demonstrate it
Under covers
You're the best teacher ever,
Yea I wanna be
The teacher's pet
Someone kissing up,
All over you,
Obeying all the rules
I swear I'll follow each
And every one of them
I, I'm tired
Of walking all alone
If you wanna come
And help me
With the moan work
I won't say no I learn it
From my baby all day
Just show me
Show me how to love baby
Will you be my
Teacher,
Teach me how to love
Baby I need ya
It's as simple as a b c,
As easy as 1 2 3
Will you be my teacher?
Show me all
The different ways
To please ya
It's as simple as a b c,
As easy as 1 2 3
Will ya let me learn you something
Oh I will, indoctrinate your mind
Wont ya let me be your love your mother
The greatest of all time
On your knees confession your obsession
I'll dominate you dark
I gave you hell to take you to heaven giving you
Star spangled hearts
In the time end oh you've learned nothing my brother
Teacher to your kind
Oh independence one [won] you nothing but a
Sudden death in overtime
Salute the flag's oppression your blessing
I got a bigger gun
Than all you fucking beggars all ya put together
I'm uncle Sammy's son
I will be your teacher baby
I will be your flame
Slide to reach you maybe
I won't know no shame
I will be your teacher preacher
On your knees and you pray
Father of your addiction, tell me
Am I the one that you'll blame

Trying to free
Scattered around on the floor
All the things of a boy
The armor and the plans for war
All meaningless but wonderful
Caught in the caves on my hearts trampoline
I can not be traced no I can not be seen
I lie in my tomb but still suffer the pain
The vision of you now is all that remains
Oh it burns my eyes
But love is great
And love's divine
To me
School's out, they say I'm grown up now
School's out, everything's new
School's out, but I'm not sure somehow
Tell me what shall I do
Teacher, look into my eyes
Teacher, give me some advice
Touch me for I'm dreaming of l-o-v-e, love
Teacher, I can hear a bell
Now I'll learn my lesson well
Teach me for I'm longing for m-o-r-e, more..
Oh, ohhh, oh, oh
School's out, I gotta find my way
School's out, I gotta go
School's out, but I ask you to stay
Tell me what I don't know
Teacher, look into my eyes
Teacher, give me some advice
Touch me for I'm dreaming of l-o-v-e, love
Teacher, I can hear a bell
Now I'll learn my lesson well
Teach me for I'm longing for m-o-r-e, more, more...

Teacher, I can hear a bell
Now I'll learn my lesson well
Teach me for I'm longing for m-o-r-e, more
Teacher--
Teach me, teacher--
Running through the wastelands of time
I've seen the essence above
A teacher that committed no crime
Who saved us with his own blood
Why don't you believe?
In the god and the man
Is it more than you can perceive?
We're facing Eschaton
What can we tell them?
What do I say?
Except here
Here I am
Forever
In your hands
The Teacher
Wasting away the rest of your life
Drowning in women and wine
Can't you see you're killing time?
You've got to lay it down on the line
Won't you help me believe?
In the good lord above
The answer just came to me
I know it's got to be love
What can we tell them?
What do I say?
Except here
Here I am
Forever
In your hands
Here I am
For the rest of time
In a burning sea
Here I am
I speak no lies
You can blieve in me
No use in burning
I know you're yearning
To be free
I'm a teacher
I've got to believe
What can we tell them?
What can I say?
Except here
Here I am
Forever
Here I am
Forever
Here I am
Forever
Here I am
Forever
In your hands
In your hands
Well the dawn was coming,
heard him ringing on my bell.
He said, ``My name's the teacher,
that is what I call myself.
And I have a lesson
that I must impart to you.
It's an old expression
but I must insist it's true.
Jump up, look around,
find yourself some fun,
no sense in sitting there hating everyone.
No man's an island and his castle isn't home,
the nest is for nothing when the bird has flown.''
So I took a journey,
threw my world into the sea.
With me went the teacher
who found fun instead of me.
Hey man, what's the plan, what was that you said?
Sun-tanned, drink in hand, lying there in bed.
I try to socialize but I can't seem to find
what I was looking for, got something on my mind.
Then the teacher told me
it had been a lot of fun.
Thanked me for his ticket
and all that I had done.
Hey man, what's the plan, what was that you said?
Sun-tanned, drink in hand, lying there in bed.
I try to socialize but I can't seem to find
[Hook: x2]
Who's been teaching you
Who's been reaching you
Come on over
God's people want to speak to you
Who's been schooling you
Hope they ain't fooling you
It's too late to wait till the wake
Or the funeral
We say no to godlessness
Hasn't the grace been given
Haven't we plugged into God
Who's got major wisdom
When we pray-yeah
We pray for wisdom to make decisions
As we copy Christ like plagiarism
Blameless Christians-we weren't made to fit in
This world wasn't made to live in
It's kind of like a vacation spot-truly
Satan's plot is to fill the world with things
That leave you empty like a vacant lot
This world is cruel-thugs hate the cops
Your hate for God is why you're doing wrong
Don't try to blame your pops
You got a point-he didn't have to forsake the house
And leave you in charge when all you had
Was money from your paper route
Now you sell-thugs trying to take you out
Christ's trying to take you out
But when He speaks-it's like you duct tape His mouth
Can't fake Him out-God over Jacob's house
Come on and learn
What doin' it for Christ's sake's about
Who's been teaching you
Is it Jesus Christ the assigned teacher or Satan the substitute
Who's teaching you how to love your boo
And cultivate healthy relationships like the Huxtables
Who's teaching you purpose and life-how to submerge in the light
Going from a pervert at night to a servant of Christ and
Telling you and you and why you exist
Are they telling you how to submit to God-and do more that just honor lips
Who's teaching you
What it means to be a man
And giving you future insight
Is it the dude or the woman that's reading your hand
Or reading your palm-who's your teacher
You been reading the Psalms
Learning some hymns-learning from Him
Who brings seas to a calm
If not
Then your teacher is wrong
Come let Jesus inform you
Lest, you have an eternal reason to mourn
If not
Then your teacher is wrong
Come let Jesus inform you
Lest, you have an eternal reason to mourn
[Hook]
God wants you to learn from Him
But, leave your pencil at home
'Cause only the blood of Jesus Christ
Can erase your sin
He's the teacher
Your hearts the chalkboard
That's what His law's on
Pointing you to the cross for redemption baby
Your hearts dark-charcoal
He's scanning like barcodes
Question is will you be present
When He calls roll
'Cause if you're not next to Him
You gotta repent
He said come learn of me
That's in the context of sin
God accepted men (enroll now)
Your tuition is paid
You'll pass you from death to life
Like skippin' a grade
Why you think He let them spit in His face
And brutally murder Him
So, you and God could sit in the shade
And be cool like in the garden again
Jesus will pardon your sin
Trust me dog-Satan is hardly your friend
I write rhymes-I do my part with my pen
Eagerly anticipating glory, dog-that's when the party begins
