A Boulevard (French, from Dutch: Bolwerk – bolwark, meaning bastion), often abbreviated Blvd, is type of road, usually a wide, multi-lane arterial thoroughfare, divided with a median down the centre, and roadways along each side designed as slow travel and parking lanes and for bicycle and pedestrian usage, often with an above-average quality of landscaping and scenery. The division into peripheral roads for local use and a central main thoroughfare for regional traffic is a principal feature of the boulevard. Larger and busier boulevards usually feature a median. It was first introduced in the French language in 1435 as boloard and has since been altered into boulevard.
Avenida 9 de Julio in the heart of Buenos Aires, capital city of Argentina, is as wide as 7 lanes in each direction, with 4 further lanes flanking the main boulevard in parallel roads on either side.
In the Dominican Republic, more specifically in Greater Santo Domingo there is the Winston Churchill and 27 de Febrero Boulevard in Downtown Santo Domingo and Las Americas Boulevard in Santo Domingo Este. These boulevards are known for their wide median with plazas and trees on it.

Spending my time thinking of you
I just can't seem to get it through.
Everything's o.k. when you're around me
way down deep inside
Givin' way to feelings that surround me.
I saw you standin' there
hopin' that you'd look my way.
A glance
a twinkle in your eye
memories of that rainy day in London town
The way I feel I can't explain
the feeling's going on inside me about you.
Never thought I'd feel this way
day to day it just kept slipping by me.
I saw you standin' there
hopin' that you'd look my way. . . .
In London town
in London town
miradas esquivas, miradas cercanas
chicas morenas, chicas coloradas
miradas esquivas, miradas cercanas
chicas morenas, chicas coloradas

As I take a look down the boulevard
Fun of get to you, life is very hard
So many faces bearing the battle scars
But love I bring to the people
Coming straight from the heart
If crisis is what we see
All over the world is pure controversy
One man can't put the price pan humanity
It seems like the whole world's gone crazy
(Verse)
Everybody knows Johnny came from the roughest part of town
Survived the School of Hard Knox but still came up and made his chips
The realest life, never watch it down
Walk with a gun through the heart of town
We hearin bam bam bam, a familiar sound
To the youth down in the gully where Johnny boy done grow
He never thought that he would make it out
It's crabs in the barrel down in ST close
(Hook)
As I take a look down the boulevard
Fun of get to you, life is very hard
So many faces bearing the battle scars
But love I bring to the people
Coming straight from the heart
If crisis is what we see
All over the world is pure controversy
One man can't put the price pan humanity
It seems like the whole world's gone crazy
(Verse)
Poor Johnny Johnny got stuck for his money
Things get funny when you rump with the daddy
Later on the goons pull up in the black Caddy
Next step on the news them find another dead body
Tales for the inner city
We break it right down to the nitty glitty
Who's responsible for the crime and poverty?
What a tragedy
Wayoo
(Verse)
I wish that I could singlehandedly free the entire planet
Turn from crying man poverty
Love me when the love he say they near
When we burn real seize and jealousy unheard
And you take me one, you are part of this effect
Come into slavery, we would be emancipated
If they break our eggs then co-operate
Not a gyal stop me from achieving the greatest
(Hook)
As I take a look down the boulevard
Fun of get to you, life is very hard
So many faces bearing the battle scars
But love I bring to the people
Coming straight from the heart
If crisis is what we see
All over the world is pure controversy
One man can't put the price pan humanity
Back there somewhere
I can hear her calling out
I’ve got so much I can tell her
She knows I miss her,
I know she thinks about me too
I just cannot wait to kiss her
On the boulevard we danced
I tell her if I get the chance
Just what all this means to me
Maybe I should say we can run away
Never look back
Never doubt it
You don’t owe me anything
I owe everything to you
Take my hand and
Hold on.
I think she likes me
I can see it in when she laughs
She wont say it but I see it
Loves to wake me
Just to see if I’m asleep
Down on the boulevard they take it hard
They look at life with such disregard.
They say it can't be won
The way the game is run
But if you choose to stay
You wind up playing anyway
It's OK
You know the kid's in shock
up and down the block
The folks are home
playing beat the clock
Down at the Golden Cup
They set the young ones up
Under the neon lights
Selling day for night
It's alright
Nobody rides for free
Nobody gets it like they want it to be
Nobody hands you any guarantee
Nobody.
The hearts are hard
and the times are tough
Down on the boulevard
the night's enough
Time passes slow between the
storefronts' shadows
and the streetlights glow
Everybody walks right by
like they're safe or something
They don't know
Nobody knows you
Nobody owes you nothing
Nobody shows you what they're thinking
Nobody
Hey hey baby
Gotta watch the street
keep your feet and be on guard.
Make it pay baby
Boulevard
I don’t know why, You said goodbye
Just let me know you didn’t go forever my love
Please tell me why, You make me cry
I beg you please I'm on my knees if that's what you want
me to
Chorus:
Never knew that it would go so far
When you left me on that boulevard
Come again you would release my pain
And we could be lovers again
Just one more chance, Another dance
And let me feel it isn’t real that I’ve been losing you
This sun will rise, Within your eyes
Come back to me and we will be happy together
Chorus
Maybe today, I’ll make you stay
A little while just for a smile and love together
For I will show, A place I know
In Tokyo where we could be happy forever
Chorus
