Your Child and Toddler at Our Nursery Centre
In each and everyone of our child care Nurseries we follow the government set EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) guidelines; these identify three prime areas of learning – Communication and Language, Personal, Physical Development and Social and Emotional Development. Our Rochdale day care nurseries also provide four Specific Areas of Learning. This includes Literacy, Mathematics, Arts and Design. These prime learning areas are applied by an enthusiastic and child friendly toddler nursery team; hand selected to provide the best possible child care for your toddler, baby and pre-school children.
The Rochdale Day care Nursery Aims and objectives.
We recognise that whilst in the care of our nurseries, we are ultimately preparing your toddler/child for later learning. Every toddler develops his/her own unique way of learning. Our qualified staff encourage them to ask questions and explore which helps develop confidence at an early stage. Activities are planned in advance using different resources that will encourage development of social skills, independence and above all confidence. At any one of our child day care centres we creatively interact with the children, helping them to extend there language skills, thinking skills and helping them to better understand the world, in a safe, loving and secure environment.
Our child care objectives are to provide child initiated and adult lead activities which cover the four primary areas of learning on a regular daily basis. We will monitor all toddler and children’s progression to ensure that specific activities are meeting the recommended EYFS requirements. At each of our day care nurseries we aim to involve parents/guardians in their child’s care and education wherever possible.
Nursery Centre Staff Training and Development
We have the best staff who have a multitude of skills and talents which are well employed at our Rochdale day care nursery. We continue to maintain a balance of experienced childcare assistants and trainees working with our experienced and qualified staff to provide for a diverse learning environment. The staff are chosen for their caring skills and their ability to interact with babies and young children. Throughout our nurseries we place emphasis on the continuous training and development of all our staff; assistants, trainers and qualified staff. This is in turn reflected in the quality of care and the expertise of the staff delivering the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage). Our staff are police checked and hold a First Aid certificate, as well as many other relevant qualifications.
Nursery Centre Staff / Parent Partnership
Our core belief is that parents have a key role in the development of both the children and of general life within the child nursery environment. Thus both staff and parents have a partnership in our nurseries and play a crucial part in the learning stages of a child. We deploy several methods to keep parents involved in their child’s day and learning environment. We like to keep parents/guardians informed about their child’s development from the start. The nursery and day care staff / parent partnership works positively for any child attending a toddler daycare. Every child will have key staff allocated to them, who will meet the parent at either end of the toddlers child care day and exchange information about life in the nursery and life once the child is at home.
